Car safely parked in driveway was turned on to defrost snow from it (no ice). When completed, drivers side mirror was cracked from corner to corner. No possible impact to the vehicle and had not been moved, so had to be the result of defrosting. Called dealer to schedule appointment for replacement and was told this would not be covered. Owned car for 10 months.

January 18, 2025 subject:  request for review – windshield crack on 2025 Honda Cr-v hybrid dear Honda customer relations team, I am writing to respectfully request a review of a windshield issue on my wife’s subject 2025 Honda Cr-v hybrid, which we purchased new in the summer of 2025. The vehicle currently has approximately 16,000 miles. Recently, a crack developed in the windshield measuring roughly four inches in length. The crack originates at the driver-side edge near the frame and began with a very small divot. There is no visible impact crater or evidence of damage from a foreign object. Based on its location and appearance, I believe this may be consistent with an stress-related edge crack rather than road debris. Our local dealership has declined coverage, which I understand may be standard procedure at the dealership level. However, given the vehicle’s age, mileage, and the nature of the crack, I am respectfully requesting that Honda corporate review this matter for possible warranty consideration or goodwill assistance. My wife and I have been Honda owners for over 20 years. We have consistently chosen Honda vehicles for their quality and reliability, and we have also purchased Honda vehicles for our children, who continue to drive them today. Our loyalty to the Honda brand has always been rooted in trust—trust in engineering, and trust in standing behind the product. While driving in arizona on I 10 at normal speeds, the sunroof glass exploded. No overpasses. No ice. No big trucks close by. The interior cover was closed at the time. Mileage at the time was 6600 approximately. Car was purchased new last summer in utah. Could not figure out what happened at first until we stopped the car at an exit. Glass was bulged up with the middle missing.

I was slowly driving into a parking spot, perhaps half way into the spot when the car suddenly accelerated forward, went over the cement wheel stops and hit a cement wall. It resulted in me suffering a fractured sternum. I am absolutely sure I did not press down hard on the accelerator to cause this. I recall being slightly jerked back into my seat and then hitting the wall. I have no idea what system failed, but the car is available for inspection. I am unable to drive the car until repairs to the front end are done, which I am told will take a few weeks. Thus, the car has not been inspected by anyone as yet, but I most certainly want it thoroughly checked. It should be noted that the police report was taken in the emergency room while I was in pain and in total shock at what happened. That report was only my guess as to what might have happened.

There was a loud "pop" above the car while driving. The sunroof had shattered. No object or other damage on the car present.

Safety issue: absence of low windshield washer fluid indicator I am reporting a significant vehicle safety concern involving my 2025 Honda Cr-v ex-l, which is not equipped with a low windshield washer fluid level indicator. This omission created a serious safety risk to myself and other motorists during real-world driving conditions. While driving on a michigan highway during a severe winter storm, I unknowingly ran out of windshield washer fluid. Due to snow, ice, road salt, and grime typical of winter driving in michigan, my windshield quickly became dirty and my forward visibility was severely reduced. Because there was no warning or indicator to alert me that the washer fluid level was low, I had no advance notice of the issue. As a direct result, I was forced to pull over onto the highway shoulder at night, in dark conditions and heavy traffic, in order to refill the washer fluid reservoir. Stopping on an active highway shoulder under these conditions posed a substantial safety hazard, increasing the risk of collision to myself and to passing vehicles. This situation was entirely preventable if the vehicle had provided a basic low washer fluid warning. I later confirmed with a Honda dealership that the low windshield washer fluid indicator is not included as a feature on my 2025 Honda Cr-v ex-l. This confirms that the issue is not a malfunction but a deliberate omission in vehicle design or feature availability. I am further concerned because I also own a 2023 Acura rdx a-spec advance (VIN: [xxx] ), which similarly does not include a low windshield washer fluid indicator, despite being a premium vehicle and Acura being Honda’s luxury brand. On 01-01-2026, while driving my 2026 Honda Cr-v hybrid, the vehicle suddenly emitted heavy smoke followed by fire. This occurred without warning and created a life-threatening situation. I had to immediately stop and exit the vehicle for my safety. Emergency services responded, and a fire department report exists. The vehicle had no modifications and was operated under normal conditions. This incident presents a serious safety risk to occupants and other drivers.

We bought this vehicle for our grandson for a great price, so we signed an "as is"agreement, knowing the dealer didn't inspect it. We were unaware that the rear axle housing was completely rusted. On 1/1/2026, he was driving and the rear axle housing broke off and the car is disabled. We had it towed to our home. Is this expensive to repair and if so, where do we begin. It seems the recall was ignored. Is it worth repairing?.

While driving my new Honda Cr-v, the vehicle suddenly caught fire without any accident, collision, or external cause. Warning lights appeared and smoke/fire followed shortly after. The incident was extremely dangerous and resulted in a total loss of the vehicle. No physical injury occurred, but this was a serious safety failure. The vehicle was well within the manufacturer warranty period.

The shutter grille and shutter grill harness was faulty and had a short in it. It needed to be completely removed and replaced. The audio system including the computer screen/monitor which controls the carplay, am/fm radio, bluetooth connection, etc. Malfunctioned while driving on the highway. It was stuck on am radio at a very high volume for an unusually long period of time (15 minutes +approximately) the audio system sound and the entire system was unresponsive to attempts to power off, turn down volume and remained frozen even after I pulled over and powered off the vehicle engine ( I waited about 5 minutes and then turned the car back on). This could present safety issues for drivers and passengers. The overwhelming loud chaotic noise remained static .

On 12/19/2025 my car was parked at my place of work between 12pm and 1pm my back window suddenly shattered from the middle of the window. I have seen other reports of Honda hrv having the same issues as well as some other crv owners from recalls for hrv and online forums of crv owners reporting the same issue with sudden back window combustion. I contacted Honda and several different departments to report this.

Car has been having all of the dashboard lights come on. I search up this and there are so many same gen Honda crv 2017-19 having the same issue happen repeatedly. I have came across atleast 50+ people online that keep having this issue come back. Also at times it will says engine is too hot and to park safely. This is 3rd time where my car is in idle and the car shuts off and says engine is too hot to which I then turn it off. When I proceed to try to start car after waiting it does not stay on. I went to 2 different Hondas and they stated battery, alternator, starter are good. This car is no good if everyone is having the same issues.

Yes had it inspected rear frame is rusting out affecting the sway bars which I will also need a new exhaust due to the rust. I did see Honda has a recall but not in my state.

Car burst into flames after sitting idle for 9 hours.

While driving, I used the factory wireless phone charger in my Honda Cr-v with an iphone 15 pro. The phone was placed directly on the charging pad with no case and apple carplay was in use. During an extended drive, the phone failed to charge beyond approximately 50% and became excessively hot. Charging appeared inconsistent or stopped while heat continued to increase. I am concerned that the wireless charging system may cause overheating that could damage devices or present a potential fire or safety hazard. This occurred during normal, expected use of the vehicle’s built-in equipment.

When driving on a state route vehicle began to slow down. Going 55mph with other vehicles going the same speed behind me, I was stopped in the middle of the road and barely was able to get to the side of the road before possibly getting hit. There is a warning light that came on stating “emission system problem”. I am currently getting it towed to a Honda dealership to get it assessed. I’ve only had this vehicle for a year.

Three times in the past week, I have found the front and rear windows all the way down. I contacted the dealer and was told it's a cooling feature. Then when I told them it's winter rime, I was told that if you tap the remote three times it makes all the windows go down. I have never tapped my remote three times.

All warning lights appear (flickering) while driving and also audio display gets completely black and only shows warning sentences happened 2 times. First time fixed to remove battery. Second time doesn’t work . Still shows signals.

I was driving on the freeway when my sunroof exploded spontaneouly. It was not hit by anything nor was the weather unusually cold for the location. If I had the sunroof screen open, I would have been hit by shattering glass while driving 70 mph. I understand this has happened to others who have Hondas and acuras 2015-2022 and there is a class action lawsuit against Honda.

After replacement, the car stalled mid-road, “d” light disappeared, and only restarting allowed me to move briefly. • Dec 1, 2025: mechanic confirmed transmission fluid was fine. Shortly after, vehicle experienced jolts, “d” light disappeared, and car stalled completely near home. It would only move in reverse and had to be rolled back to the mechanic. Diagnostic results: • p0741 – torque converter clutch circuit performance/stuck off • p0780 – shift malfunction • p0746 – pressure control solenoid a performance/stuck off • p1898 – cvt drive pulley pressure control valve stuck on/off these codes match known cvt transmission issues documented by Honda, including hydraulic pressure regulation failures and belt slippage. My vehicle has never received recall updates or pcm reprogramming, yet it is now showing the exact failures described in Honda’s bulletin. Although my VIN does not currently appear in Honda’s recall database, I request that Honda review my case and extend recall or goodwill coverage, as the defect is clearly present and poses a serious safety risk. 2017 Honda cr v- hybrid (under 10 year under 150,000 miles) all warning lights on the dashboard—including the check engine light, oil pressure warning, battery warning light, tire pressure monitoring system (tpms) light, brake system warning, abs (anti-lock braking system) light, fuel level warning light, and engine temperature warning light—activated intermittently. This issue intermittently occurred each time the vehicle was started, with symptoms lasting from a few days up to several weeks. The warning lights would temporarily resolve, with periods lasting from a few days to several months. The vehicle's battery was replaced twice within one year, which seemed to temporarily alleviate the issue; however, the warning lights recurred afterward. Recently, Honda was able to conduct a thorough diagnosis with the lights going off and seems to have identified the root cause, leading to the replacement of the spark plugs and fuel injectors at an approximate cost of $2,000. If unaddressed, this issue could pose safety risks such as rough idling, decreased fuel efficiency, engine misfires, difficulty starting, poor acceleration, unexpected stalling, sudden complete loss of power, and electrical problems. This issue is recognized by Honda and is currently covered under a recall for the 2023-2025 Honda pilot and the 2023-2025 Honda accord hybrid. While the Honda accord hybrid and Honda Cr-v hybrid share the same fuel injection system as part of Honda’s two-motor hybrid-electric powertrain, the Honda Cr-v hybrid has not yet been included in this recall. Nonetheless, many Honda Cr-v hybrid owners are experiencing similar issues and are incurring repair costs out of pocket.   Honda, please consider including our Honda Cr-v hybrid in your recall for your fuel injection system issue.  including all within the 10 yr 150k miles that are using this faulty fuel injection systems.

The cmbs activated when driving when no other vehicle was in front of my vehicle. The car came to a stop.

While driving at a normal speed (55mph) on I-5 north in bellingham, wa when the sunroof on my Honda Cr-v imploded. It sounded like a very loud gunshot. The shock of the incident startled my passenger and I and I immediately began looking her over to see if there was any blood. I looked up and saw very small shards of glass falling through the sunroof and a large hole. It was fortunate those shards did not cause damage. I immediately closed the sunroof and exited the highway. There were no rocks in the car, very little glass entered the car and a large hole was in the sunroof. The dealer did not believe it was due to a glass defect, he felt that something large had hit the car. This was not possible- we were on a clear highway and there was no sign of anything in the car or on the sunroof that would explaijn the damage. I do not want other people to have this experience- it is frightening and could lead to accidents.

Blown head gasket leaked coolant in to cylinder. All warning alarms started rotating across dash, while all driver assist technology was also disabled. Car then lost ability to accelerate, but kept running, and we were able to drive about one mile home at about 10mph. We towed car to Honda (it was always maintained by a Honda dealership). Honda dealership confirmed blown gasket and replaced gasket and then injectors for $7,600 total repair bill. We did not see or receive the replaced parts. We have since learned that Honda is well aware of this particular design fault of their 1. 5 engines from 2016 thru 2023 years. Even independent mechanics know of the trouble, as well as any internet search. We were totally unaware til now!.

After stopping the car I shut off the engine while the gear/selector was still in d (drive). The car began rolling forward since the driveway has a slope. My car hit the car parked before my car. The front bumper has been damaged. Later. I've checked several times this situation: if engine shuts off while selector is in d, the vehicle rolls instead of holding on a slope. This is a serious safety issue! many driveways have slopes.

The moon roof shattered as we were driving. Luckily the inner sun shade was pulled. Crazy to have tempered glass above you. We could have not had that cover closed and glass could have rained down on us.

After my last oil change on October 29, 2025, I began noticing a persistent gasoline smell outside the car. Concerned, I took the vehicle to prince Honda tifton and explained the issue in detail. They inspected it but reported no leaks and said everything looked fine. However, the odor continued. Starting December 1, 2025, I began smelling gasoline inside the car, with a particularly strong odor when starting the engine. I believe this poses a serious health risk and a potential fire hazard while driving.

Closed the hatch to the crv and the glass shattered. Looked up on line and there was a voluntary product update campaign requested.

A dealer in puerto rico stated that action is only needed if the system fails completely. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? the component has not been formally inspected yet; the dealer only provided a verbal assessment. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? no warning lamps or messages appeared. The system is still operational but may exhibit leakage over time. What happened? in your own words, tell us what happened. The vehicle is a Honda Cr-v touring 2021. I received a notice regarding an extended warranty for the a/c compressor seal. When visiting a dealer in puerto rico, they stated that the issue only requires action if the a/c fails completely. I am reporting this because the extended warranty indicates that any potential leakage should be inspected and addressed, and I want the vehicle properly checked to ensure the compressor seal is not failing.
