1 Clunking Noise problem of the 2003 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 12/30/2010

Front end pulls hard to right on uneven pavement, or on highway if small cut lines are on roadway. Vehicle has always pulled to right since new and I have had to have wheel alignments more than twice a year. Vehicle has never been in an accident. Vehicle had warranty work for clunking noise in front end when new. Have went through several sets of tires prematurely because the tires on the front always wear out on the outer and inner edge. Tires are always properly inflated to mfg specs. After getting new tires and alignment the vehicle operates fine for about a month or two then it gradually gets worse. After a couple months when releasing the gas peddle the car slows down quickly and the pulling to the right gets worse.

2 Clunking Noise problem of the 2004 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 11/02/2005

2004 Honda Cr-v, problem started around 21,500 miles. I have a clunking sound when going over bumps or ruts in the road. More so if right front wheel hits a lower part of the road. Sounds as if something is loose. Still under warranty. Taken to dealer twice. They replaced strut and second time moved the engine mount over. It did not help. Sounds as though metal clunking against metal. Will take to another dealer to see if they can find the problem.

3 Clunking Noise problem of the 2002 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 05/29/2003

The car started making a loud dragging sound when I made a u-turn to the left only. I have taken the car to the dealer several times and the third time they were finally able to figure out the problem. The mechanics said that the front fender was pressing on the tires when I turned. The sound disapeared few days and then returned, but was more subtle. It's a pain to hear that sound and not know what's wrong with it. In addition, the loud clicking sound that the tires make when I step on the brakes is irritating.
