2005 Honda crv. Consumer writes in regards to defective wheel suspension system. The consumer stated when his wife backed out of a parking spot, she felt a crunch and a drop come from the front of the vehicle. The a frame of the right front wheel suspension failed at the welded attach point on the sway bar. The weld had been failing for some time as there was rust and dirt on some of the broken edges. According to the invoice, the front control arm broke, causing the axle to fail and the sway bar link to fail.

While in motion consumer notice a clunking sound coming from the vehicle. It was taken to two separate dealers. The first dealer could not locate the problem. The second dealer informed the consumer that the problem was the sway bar link.
