For the last couple of weeks the drivers side lock mechanism makes loud noise, is difficult and sometimes impossible to unlock with fob or manually. This is not consistent every time I drive, but has been increasing in frequency. I have been locked out of car twice. The fob and manual key attempts failed. I replaced the fob battery and was able to open the car, but the loud noises, lock engagement issues are continuing and increasing in frequency. I want to see if this is a recall issue that can be addressed by a dealership.

The contact owns a 2004 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that after entering the vehicle, the power lock would not engage on the passenger’s side front door. Tl the contact owns a 2004 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that the front driver's side door lock, power steering, and ignition switch malfunctioned. Wolfchase Honda (2982 n germantown pkwy, bartlett, TN 38133, (901) 255-3700) stated that the door locks needed replacement, but there was no guarantee that this would remedy the failure. In addition, the power steering was leaking fluid, but the dealer did not know if it was the steering pump or hose. The dealer stated that they would have to disassemble the power steering to diagnose the failure. The contact was informed that the power steering may last until March. The contact owns a 2007 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that the rear driver's door did not lock when using the key fob. The contact had to play with the key fob in order for the door to lock. The contact had to reach their hand through the passenger side window and open the door from the outside. Once they exited the vehicle, the contact could not get the doors to unlock even with the key fob. The contact had to call roadside assistance to help unlock the doors. The vehicle was taken to Honda of kirkland (12420 ne 85th st, kirkland, wa 98033) where they replaced the driver side door lock actuator per service bulletin number: 14-083. A year and a half later, the same failure occurred on the passenger side. The contact paid to have the passenger side door lock actuator replaced. Furthermore, the contact stated that the rear driver door would not lock. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and was informed that the warranty had expired.
