1 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2019 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 12/18/2023

I received the initial msg sending from the rental platform turo on 12/18/2023 stating that my car has to be unlisted due to fuel pump not to resale, since then I have been contacting my local Honda dealerships all over and see what repairs I need to get it fixed. It has been more than a month, no any advisors contacted me yet, nor any dealerships has the part yet. Everytime I call, they said it is safe to drive, but when I ask for the paperwork/ clarification letter that turo required in order to relist my car, no one was able to help. This inconvenience has been a huge financial lost as a turo host. I don't get any update, not even an official letter for more than a month. As far as I received the initial turo msg, I had been driving normally, nothing weird happened. So my questions are : 1. How long would take Honda to get the part ordered? 2. If it is safe to drive, who shall have the access to get me a letter to satisfy turo? 3. If it is not safe to drive, should Honda replace a temporary car for me to drive without any charge? thank you.

2 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2017 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 05/03/2021

On the way down from grapevine along I-5, warning lights showed on my dashboard, e. G. Tire pressure monitor problem, emission system problem, brake system problem, etc. . . , I panic and exited the freeway. I opened the hood to cool the engine. After about an hour, I restarted the engine and the warning lights disappeared so I continued my travel. However, after about 40 miles, the warning lights came up again. So, I exited the freeway again. We called service dealer in bakersfield and based on our report he said the computer may not be talking with other parts. He asked us to bring it in. But this dealer is some 30 miles away and it's too far from home. I restarted the engine again and the warning lights went away after the engine has cooled down. So I went back to the freeway driving slowly and carefully until there was a slower truck in front of me. I tried to overtake the truck then I felt like something snapped, the same warning lights came out and I can feel the engine was losing power so I parked on the side and decided to have the car towed since it can stall in the middle of the road putting our lives in danger. When the car was towed to the Honda dealer close to home, it was diagnosed as initially fuel pump problem with an estimated cost of about $2,000. But the parts will take about a week to ship due to hazard issues. They offer to buy back our car but at only half the price that we bought it. It's almost four years old.

3 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2018 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 05/01/2021

I was driving on the san mateo bridge , car began hesitating and jerking up and down and lost power engine light came up. Took it to pep boys they diagnosed it and said it needed coils and spark plugs , about $ 1000 later took the car hoe and continued to do the same thing, took it back to pep boys and said there was a recall on that car for that problem . Took it to primo Honda and they say there is no recall on my VIN # even though is clear that is the reason they are having a recall on those cars for that very same reason. 8 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2017 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 02/19/2020

Ever since the car was new, when turning a corner on city intersections, the vehicle would hesitate, intermittently. I've been at the dealer, and they tell me there is nothing wrong. Recently I read about a recall of crv's for a fuel pump problem. Not being a mechanic, this sounds like my problem. Unfortunately, Honda does not have this recall on their website. Any guidance you can give will be most welcome. Sincerely, eric s. Ruiter.

9 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 01/30/2019

Purchased this certified used vehicle from local Honda dealer with 11k miles in July, 2017. Since November 2018 vehicle stalls while in motion on city streets without warning and will not remain running after repeated starts. Has happened three times and had towed to dealer. First diagnosis resulted in fuel adjustment settings. Second, replaced throttle assembly . Third, fixed a connector's pin to fuel pump. Something is effecting the fuel pump, eg sensor or computer. After hearing about the Honda fuel problem today (2/15/19) on national news it describes my experience but my vehicle is not listed. It's still under warranty with 22k miles.

10 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2014 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 08/28/2017

Mileage 20630. Had just returned home and parked in the driveway. Sudden strong odor of raw gasoline and vehicle quit running. I found a large pool of gas just ahead of the left rear wheel. I moved the left rear seat to expose the fuel pump housing and found a pool of gas around the top of the gas tank at the fuel pump. I found a hole had worn through the hard plastic fuel line about 6 inches from the pump caused by rubbing on the underside of the rear seat metal frame. I repaired the holed area of the fuel line with the proper hard plastic fuel line repair kit.

12 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2014 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 08/15/2015

My crv is 16 months old; I parked in my new garage and on the next day I start the car and fuel is pouring out of the tank or fuel system or fuel pump. I shut down the car due to the pollution it could have casued. I called the dealer on Monday and had it towed. They tell me that a critter must have chewed through the line. How could this be. This is just another scam by Honda to cover all the recall costs they are having to deal with. My gas tank could have exploded because if was steaming on the undercarriage. My car has only 34,000 miles and this is them trying to get out of a $1,000 plus charge to me. Please help me; I have called Honda but no one is returning my calls and does not seem to care. This is a very dangerous and serious problem.
