I have had numerous problems with my crv, most recently a complete malfunction where car did not go over 10 mph and dashboard lights all flashing on alert. Honda mechanics told me this was my fault for overfilling my oil tank. Wanted to charge me $2500 for a new catalyt converter. After much negotiating they lowered cost. However I have since seen this is a common problem with this model and should have been recognized as such.

We repeatably have the smell of gas in the car (tubo-charged crv) and in my garage after filling the gas tank. I've seen no leakage on the garage floor but the smell of gas is overwhelming. Likewise it is a sickening smell in the car. I think this is a tremendous safety issue since I have a gas fired furnace and hot water heater in the garage - I open the garage door to air it out for fear of a fire. I understand that Honda has been looking into the gas smell issue but no recall has been issued. For safety sake when is something going to be done?.
