I parked my car in my garage with half a tank of gas on Sunday. On Wednesday I went to start my car to no avail. I called roadside assistance to jump start my vehicle. This worked, however my gas was now on empty. The vehicle had been locked, no lights on in an enclosed garage for 3 days. I have only used it for short drives since March due to covid-19.

Gas tank filler has a metal door approx 3 inches down filler tube that isn't sealing, garage smells of strong gas smell. Vehicle is under warranty but deal refuses to fix. Dealer claims customer must have driven off with gas hose still in tank. This is not true, been difficult to get gas into vehicle almost since it was new, vehicle only has 8,000 miles. Complained to dealer, complained to manufacter, nobody cares. Suspect fire danger.

2,790 miles. Gas fumes in the cabin of newly purchased 2019 Honda Cr-v and on the outside of car near front of car. On 02/03/2020, I took the car to Honda's service center where they performed a multi-point inspection(visual inspection). They ran the car in the garage for 45 minutes but were unable to duplicate the problem and the smell could not be noticed inside the cab, around the fuel tank or under the hood. But they did say, the oil had a fuel smell. I found this is a known oil dilution problem that has been found in 2018 and 2017 models and that it was to be corrected for 2019. Honda is aware this is still an issue but say they cannot duplicate the issue so they do nothing. I have respiratory problems and very sensitive to certain odors and fumes, and when I drive the car I have to have the moon roof open and the windows cracked. It causes discomfort in my chest and air passage. I called Honda customer service several times and opened a case. It was assigned to a case manager who said he would look into it and call me back in a couple of days, that was 2 months ago. He never called. I called them again 4/20/2020 and was told I can get a second opinion at another Honda service center, but if the results are the same there is nothing they can do. Honda knows this is an issue that has not been corrected for the 2019 and refuses to do anything. This car is a hazard for those with health issues, small children and for anyone breathing in these fumes. I am a senior citizen who bought this car based on good reviews because I wanted a good car that would possibility be the last car I had to purchase and it may be, but not for the reasons I hoped. When someone purchases a brand new car with a 5 year car note, the least they should be able to expect is the ability to drive the car without feeling they are putting their life in jeopardy. Honda is awful and shameful.

Tl the contact's friend owns a 2017 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that fuel was leaking into the engine oil without warning. When the contact's friend checked the oil, the oil tank had overflowed and a fuel odor was detected on the oil dipstick. The contact's friend took the vehicle to don ayres Honda (4740 lima rd, fort wayne, in 46808, 260-484-0551) and was informed that they could replace the oil. The manufacturer was notified and provided a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 36,000.
Car occasionally smells like fuel on the inside. This happens at times days after the last time the gas tank was filled. Appears to be a leak somewhere. Can sometimes occur while car is in motion on highway or idling at standstill.
Tl the contact owns a 2018 Honda Cr-v. The contact suspected that fuel and oil were in the oil tank, leaking past the cylinders and entering the oil tank. The vehicle was taken to lithia Honda (4095 crater lake hwy, medford, or 97504, (541) 930-3021) where an oil dilution for the fuel odor was performed, but no failure was found. The contact stated that the dipstick showed that the oil was above the full mark. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact to call the dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 10,864.
Engine oil has a strong smell of fuel. Vehicle was brought in to the dealer, dealer advised me that they needed to upgrade the system. The upgrade has not fix the problem and the vehicle still has a strong odor of fuel coming from the engine oil dipstick. Everytime I would fill up with gas, the gas meter displays fewer and fewer mileage range on a full tank.
High pressure fuel lines punctured and leaked fuel into engine bay and onto top of fuel tank. This was 2 seperated incindences. Probable cause was by squirrels. Very dangerous and expensive repair. Vehicle was parked at my residence. Damage discoverd as vehicle was being driven. Copst to repair line from tank to engine bay $679. 91.

The contact owns a 2017 Honda Cr-v. While the vehicle was stationary, there was a loud knocking noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to ganley Honda in north olmsted, ohio where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided the contact with case number: 06586790. The failure mileage was 470.
With 4 hours of me owning the car, the emissions light came on. After some investigation with the dealer, there was rodent damage to the gas tank and wiring.
1:l. S suspension is making clunky noise for long time. This problem was on and off but now its continuously making noise while I drive to a bumpy or small broken road. 2:engine was making roaring noise then I follow up with dealer with my recall notice. I don't know they fix it or not but still making this noise. 3:smell solid fuel/gasoline from the exhaust system. Full tank gas giving me only 178 miles range but I'm not able to drive 150 miles even. I always take the silver gasoline which is $38 dollars for the full tank. Sometimes more and more this is the biggest problem of car and my financial. I think my fuel is leaking and this could be something else. Credit karma showing me I have 3 open recalls which is one of them. But I didn't receive any mail any email or notification from them.
When I was sitting in a drive thru a man came up to me and told me that gasoline was pouring out from under my car. I drove the car home and by the time I got home the fuel smell was overwhelming and I had lost the 1/2 tank of gas that I had. Had the car towed to the dealership and was told that rodents had eaten through my soy based fuel lines. When I asked why there wasn't a recall for this, I was told that it was not a safety hazard. I totally disagree! if someone had thrown a cigarette out at the drive thru or as I drove home, I would have gone up in flames.

The vehicle has a very strong smell of fuel (gasoline) in the passenger cabin after the engine has warmed up. It is especially strong when the car has been refueled, when the engine is warm and you are making frequent stops or are backing up. Honda service staff state Honda America is aware of the complaints with the 2016 crv but they have not identified a problem nor do they have a fix. They did have me complete a questionaire at the dealership regarding the problem and they said Honda is having engineers look into the problem. In the mean time, the smell of gasoline can be so strong that it makes me nauseous and gives me a headache. I am quite sure breathing in the smell of toxic chemicals in a confined space is hazardous to a person's health and I am quite sure the head of Honda would not ride in a vehicle that wreeks of gasoline inside. I have had this vehicle 3 months and it has 2156 miles on it. In the beginning, I thought it was exhaust from cars in traffic around me. Then I thought I must have spilled gas on the gas when I filled the tank, but clearly it is not either of these issues. The gas smell is coming from the fuel system of the car and it not safe to ride in it. The garage smells like gasoline after the car has been sitting in it and turned off. The car does not usually smell like gas when I first turn it on or if I drive it a very short distance. When I drive to work (2 miles) and get out and it sits for 8 hours, I do not smell gas when I go home at the end of the day. It is when the car has been driven for 15 or more minutes and making multiple stops. The dealership said they have had other customers with similar complaints but no idea how to fix it. Meanwhile, I have a 3 month old $28,000 vehicle I cannot drive safely. Is there a way to meausure noxious fumes in the passenger cabin?.

The contact owns a 2017 Honda Cr-v. The contact heard an abnormal noise associated with the fuel system. The dealer was unable to replicate and diagnose the failure. The contact recorded the abnormal noise and took the vehicle to the dealer. The mechanic test drove the vehicle and the manufacturer authorized that the fuel tank be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the noise recurred days later. The contact had been unable to receive a solution from the dealer and was waiting on a response from the manufacturer. The approximate failure mileage was 8.
The coated fuel line up near the fuel tank rusted from inside out yet the rest of the fuel line especially the part exposed to the road debris and salt was pristine condition. The fuel began spilling while driving and we noticed it when we went to park the car in the driveway - losing ~ 1 l/min. .

On start-up and when backing up intermittently the vehicle has a strong smell of raw gasoline inside the cabin. The car has not been recently fueled (currently has 1/4 tank). Dealership says that Honda has issued no service bulletins or communications for this issue. Online postings, and NHTSA complaints, show other 2016 Cr-v owners are reporting the same issue.
Piss poor fuel mileage. Brand new vehicle two tanks of gas and averaging under 19mpg. 80% highway, 20% city streets. No heavy foot and economy button on. Vehicle sticker states 27 city. Not even close.
