I was driving down two lane and my radio started cutting off and on and my steering started to lock up and became hard to steer I pulled on side street and pulled into a driveway and each sharp turn with steering wheel having to make a hard cut it would die down and when I finally got car straightend out it was diffucult to guide I turned the car off and restarted it and it seemed to run okay and then it happened again parking the car at my home.

Takata recall : my 2008 Honda Fit was traveling at 15 mph and went into a police k-9 unit 'elvis'. The air bag virulently exploded on my jaw and caused my teeth to bit my tongue. The policeman mistook the injury for a seizure and I lost my license indefinitely. I was take to the hospital against my will and given 10,000 dollars in services I didn't want or need due to the air bag. Honda and takata and NHTSA need to come clean and protect the public from this dangerous defect.

Takata recall- took 2 years to get a solution letter, all while I could have been killed driving my car. No alternative transportation provided. Unable to have passengers in front seat. No refunds offered or partial refunds. No compensation. I will no longer purchase anything from a company that uses takata as a vendor.
I have been trying to get Honda of kirkland, washington to repair my airbags since September of 2016. They keep putting it off and now they say they can't do it until the end of may. That is over an 8 month wait, Honda is the one that told me I needed the service.
Takata recall. I received a letter from Honda in July 2016 alerting me of the recall affecting passenger airbags and that I would be contacted when a remedy was available. As of February 26, 2017, I have not received information by mail of any remedy. Furthermore, I was not made aware by Honda that a recall was implemented for driver air bags.
Takata recall I received a letter notifying me of the recall in March 2016. It said that the parts were not yet available and I would receive a follow up letter when they became available in summer 2016. I never received a follow up letter as of February 2017.
Takata recall I was notified on March 2016 about the takata recall. I called my local Honda dealership in September 2016 to have this issue resolved. At that time, they informed me that they didn't have the parts to resolve the defect. I have yet to be contacted about a fix for the defect.

Takata recall: I contacted berkeley Honda to get this recall fixed. A sales person contacted me to try to sell me a new car but the service department never returned the call. I called them back and they supposedly ordered the part but never advised me if the part was available. Further calls not returned. Contacted oakland Honda who said they had the parts but refused to make an appointment - said it's first come, first served. I'm an elderly woman and not well. I cannot be expected to show up and either wait and wait or find out that there is no part available when I get there. I called san leandro Honda - left messages but they never return the call. Please have someone take care of this! it's not good service at all and not realistic to have me never have a passenger while I'm waiting for this to be resolved.
I received the recall notice in July 2016 from Honda. The letter said they would follow up when they have the parts in late spring or fall. It is December and I have not heard from Honda.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Honda Fit. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 16v346000 (air bags) and 16v061000 (air bags). The parts to do the repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. Honda has replaced the driver airbag but not the passenger airbag. Both the dealer here in IL and Honda on the west coast initially indicated that the passenger airbag was not part of the recall - however, they stated they could not tell me what brand or make of passenger airbag was installed. It seemed very strange to me that a car manufacturer who utilizes just-in-time parts installation would have a takata airbag for the driver side and a non-takata (or different model takata airbag) on the passenger side - thus I requested Honda customer service mgr on the west coast contact Honda japan to determine the exact make/model of the passenger airbag. In early December 2016 Honda customer service stated the passenger airbag was indeed a takata airbag of the type requiring replacement. I was told an additional recall would be forthcoming and that I should secure replacement in 2017. I have checked your safer. Gov website with my VIN and the passenger airbag has not been added. Has Honda apprised you that additional airbags require replacement, and if so, when will you update your website to reflect same. The dealer will not replace the airbag gratis until such time as the unit is recalled. Await your advice/update. Thank you.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 Honda Fit. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 16v346000 and 16v061000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
Manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall.
Takata recall: I received a letter from Honda on 3/26/2016 informing me that my airbag was defective and was recalled. The letter stated they would send me another letter soon informing me when I could get it fixed. I never heard back from them, so I called them on 7/18/2016. They said that I could get it fixed by late September at the latest and that I would receive a second letter informing me when I could get it fixed. Now it is 11/2/2016 and I still have not heard anything from Honda. If my car truly has a dangerous airbag that needs to be replaced, I think that more than 7 months is longer than I should have to wait to get it fixed. I want them to fix my airbag as soon as possible.

Takata recall. . . When are my airbags going to be replaced? why do I have to drive day after day knowing my airbags can explode and kill me? why isn't something being done for my car model which seems to have no replacement in stock? other car models are being repaired but the Honda Fit 2008 is not so far. I want them replaced.

Takata recall. The dealership I contacted (on Aug 6, 2016) has not repaired the recall on the passenger seat airbag within a satisfactory time period. I have called twice and they have said my part has not yet become available. It has been over 60 days from the time I have first contacted them. Russell and smith Honda dealership, houston, TX 77054 (dealership phone number 713 481 3063).

"takata recall" notified in March that airbag parts would be available in summer for repair to take place. Contacted two dealers and was put on list for repair in may. Nothing has been done to this point with no further contact from Honda. 10-21-16.
Takata recall. First contact with dealer (Honda and Subaru of santa fe, nm) 7/30/16. Informed that parts were not available. Second contact 8/30/16 with same result. Now 70+ days since initial contact with dealer. No reply from dealer as of 10/10/16. Inconvenience of limitation of use and possible injury or death makes unresponsiveness of Honda and dealer grossly irresponsible.
Takata recall - I received the notice for the passenger airbag recall in July 2016 and called to follow up with the notice. I was told that the part would be in within a month, but have followed up multiple times regarding this because the part has been backlogged. It has been over 60 days since my initial phone call relaying my concern with the safety of this car. Honda has failed to remedy this situation within a reasonable timeframe. All they tell me each time I call is to wait until the part comes in. This is the only car that our family uses to commute to/from work, and seeing as how we have a full family, someone has to sit in the passenger seat. Being pregnant, I am concerned for my and my baby's safety. I do not appreciate expressing my concerns for my safety and Honda's response being to just sit and wait until the part comes in. They should be making more of an effort to fix this issue, especially since it is now October 2016. I am highly disappointed in Honda's service.
Been trying to schedule replacement of the defective airbag, dealer doesn't know when the replacement bag will arrive and Honda motors says they are available for the dealer. Each is pointing a finger at the other one for the reason the part has not been delivered for the dealer to make the replacement. Just want to get it replaced so I can safely drive my car. Need help in getting the airbag replaced as soon as possible. Am I expected to drive an unsafe vehicle until Honda and the dealer finally fulfill their responsibility?.
Takata recall- went to dealership to get my air bag replace, which they did't have needed to be order and waited 6 weeks. On October the 09, 2016 I was on a vehicle accident driving 25 miles and hour the right side tire hit and embankment and damaged my car for a total loss. The deployment of the airbag hit my chest with such force that my sternum was fracture and bruise through out my chest. I have being having severe pain for the past three weeks. The road is and uphill curve which the speed limit is 25 miles and is two lane road the vehicle behind me had lights on which I believe also were a factor because the lights reflected on the rearview mirror and was to close. Will summit a chp report when necessary.

Takata recall recall status: recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available so what are we supposed to do while Honda is trying to figure out their next step?.
Takata recall: on two separate occasions we've scheduled to have the parts replaced. Both times Honda called us to cancel stating the parts were not in yet. This has been going on since we received the notice back in March.
