Failure Date: 12/07/2020

Three issues rod nocking at start up paint peeling on top roof by windshield and starting to rust windshield safety is compromised buy the rust and should be recalled I was denied a recall for the paint blue low temperature coolant light is on dash with a ambient temp of 55degrees when cold for first couple off minutes of driving can be a problem with the temp not reading right to warn driver of the true coolant temp and or can cause excessive emissions for the engine not to read right and enrichen the mixture which could be the cause of the rod nick possibly gas washed the main bearings in engine.

2 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2009 Honda FIT

Failure Date: 04/03/2019

Car stalls and dies after initial start. Sometimes even with warming car up for 5-10 minutes. Outdoor temperature can be 90 degrees and this still happens. If I start my car, let it run for 5 minutes, put it in drive, the minute I begin to slow for a stop sign or simply for an approaching stop or intersection my car will shudder and die. There is no check engine light and two mechanics have found no codes soft or hard to shed any light on why this is happening. I have already paid $300 for a valve adjustment, replaced spark plugs and I'm still having the issue.

3 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2010 Honda FIT

Failure Date: 03/04/2013

This is a reproducible problem!! it happens every time if the air temperature is below 55 degrees. If the vehicle has not been heated for 5 minutes before driving out to the road, the engine would be dead either at an uphill stop sign or during driving while the brake needs to be used. The battery sign lights first and followed by the oil light and then the engine would switch off.

4 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2007 Honda FIT

Failure Date: 02/08/2011

2007 Honda Fit base with manual transmission in florida, the problem first appeared after the the vehicle reached the 30,000-35,000 mile mark and continues to this day. When the ambient temperature is less than 75 degrees f and the engine has not reached normal operating temperature the engine will stall every time the clutch pedal is depressed, this behavior continues until the vehicle reaches normal operating temperature. My vehicle has been to several Honda dealerships over the past 2 years to diagnose the problem but they were unable to determine the cause as no diagnostic trouble codes are registered. It makes it difficult to safely merge with traffic as the engine stalls whenever the clutch pedal is depressed.
