1 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2003 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 08/27/2015

Mansfield motor group of mansfield , ohio replaced a srs unit on my Honda that was done so that Honda corp. Could collect information off of this unit . When they brought this unit on line , there was was a passenger seat air bag / sensor alert and they wasn't able to clear this indication . They did some trouble shooting procedures to no avail . I was informed of this problem and was told that the sensor replacement would cost me app. $ 1000. . 00 , in which I refused and told them to put back the old unit that had no issues concerning the that or any other sensor . This recall # 15-026 , after calling Honda , was to gain information from an srs recall #15-013 that has never been installed , or this is what I was led to believe , which mmg Honda told me that Honda had not figured out the problem as yet . I recieved the recall letter from Honda in March of 2015 for the NHTSA recall 15v -045 ---- service bulletin # 15-013 .

2 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2012 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 11/11/2014

Tpm(tire pressure monitor) light indicating low pressure when there is no error. Dealer (san marco, texas) claims the issue is due to cell phone charger interference with tpm system. Dealer claims Honda is aware of the issue and sent out a service bulletin to limit the cell phone charger to less than twenty minutes to prevent the tpm fault code and dash light from being set. In my professional option, Honda America has what is known as a 'conductive electro-magnetic interference" issue with their system. Based on what has been communicated, I believe there is an elementary design flaw with their system that allows either the transmitted energy or internal generated signals of cell phone to be coupled into their system using the battery lines.

3 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2006 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 02/11/2014

The van vibrates horribly due to a faulty rear motor mount. It is clearly a default in manufacturing. I was also referred to mention complaint# 10425453.

4 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2005 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 08/05/2013

I was not aware that Honda had a recall on the power steerig pump. I have had this problem for over a year. My local dealer (autoparks Honda, cary, nc) is telling me that the recall is over and the extended recall is over so they cannot fix it at no cost to me. I don't understand why Honda will not replace the power steering pump when there was a recall on this part. It is still very hard to turn the steering wheel. I really like my Odyssey and I would like to see Honda stand behind their recalls.

5 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2013 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 04/26/2013

The third row, right hand side arm rest/cup holder area wall gets hot to a point that passenger on that side cannot sit and is hot enough to burn a person. This also affects the cooling/airconditioning of the car as well. This is a serious safety issue and can cause fire.

6 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2010 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 08/15/2012

The first time this problem occurred was driving on nd hwy. 15. The driver's sliding door would come unlatched when driving down the road at 65 mph. Push the automatic door latch button again and it stayed latched for about 7 miles and it would unlatch itself and the alarm would go off. Telling you the slidingdoor was unlatched. I took the van to rydell's Honda dealer in grand forks, nd they replace the latch and rollers on both sliding doors. They said it happens when you live on gravel roads and the rollers and latches would get wore because the rollers and part of the latch is made of plastic. Honda service manager told us to try to keep the roller guides clean and pressure wash the roller guide really well. We did this for about a year clean the the guides biweekly and we had the same troubles again. This time Honda replaced on latch on the driver's side and three weeks later the other side had the same problem too. We were luckily this only had happen close to town and we never were in an accident when this problem occurred. The doors would come unlatched without notice and the door will be open about an inch or two. It doesn't matter if you try to shut the doors manually or automatic it will still open and unlatch on its own when ever it would like too. We only live on about 3 miles of gravel so to have this problem with two young children ages nine and eight is scary.

7 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2010 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 03/24/2012

At low speeds from 20-35 miles per hour, the vehicle abs causes braking to fail to halt the vehicle in the anticipated distance of other cars. It takes 3. 5 car lengths at 18-20 mph, which can lead to rear end collision with the vehicle in front of you. You are forced to keep double the normal number of car lengths behind the vehicle in front of you. And your front wheels start sort of 'hopping' causing partial loss of traction, during the abs cycle that probably shouldn't be engaging. I had the same experience with my prior 2007 Honda accord hybrid, only worsened by the various hybrid components kicking in and out, including the regen braking, and the engine cutoff, as well as the abs and the transmission downshifting. I had two minor rear end front end accidents but frequently found myself skidding into intersections. Both vehicles also suffered from difficulty regulating speed without using the brakes, and very sensitive speed braking. Nonetheless, I think the abs, suspension and the braking are combining to cause the vehicle to partly lose traction and leads to extended braking distances at low speed. I have not only repeatedly written and called Honda about this particular problem, I've even threatened to terminate my lease agreement over it. Honda's only response to my calls and letters since 2008 is that 'there is no outstanding recall regarding the condition you are reporting', to which my comment: "there darn well should be!" falls on very deaf corporate ears.

8 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2007 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 01/04/2012

I am getting a thud sound from the back of my 2007 Odyssey Mini van. We called Honda and they said they have had several people come in with this. They found that there is a glazing that happens with the brakes and they said they have to grind the drums and it makes it go away for awhile. They said if the brake shoes are ok it would run about $200. 00. This is crazy if they have a problem with the brakes other than wear and tear they should fix it for free. I have put two sets of brakes on this van since I bought it and I have never had brakes go so fast. I believe they have a very poor design. If I had not bought the extended warranty I would have been out 1000 of dollars with all the problem this 2007 Honda has had. If I had it to do over again I would not buy another Honda. The windshield whistles, the transmission part had to be replaced, the compressor melted, the battery went dead on a trip before a year was up. The bearings in the wheels went bad. The axle went bad. The right rear door motor went bad. The left rear door will open part way and shut. All in all Honda has gone down hill. $37,000 and its a piece of junk. Thank god other than the brakes the dealer has been very very good and has fixed everything at least once.

10 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2006 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 12/01/2010

While picking up my 2006 Honda Odyssey from the dealership {due to a repair from a recall} I'¿¿m informed that I need to replace my "¿¿motor mounts"¿. My van is only 4 years old at this point and this will cost ~ over $1,000. 00! this causes lag upon acceleration and vibration at higher speeds {and will be much worse when all 3 mounts fail}. Why is Honda placing such substandard parts in its vehicles?.

11 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2006 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 01/01/2010

The passenger's sliding door does not always open using the remote control. This is a hazard to release the door so the rear occupants can exit the vehicle.

12 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 1999 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 09/10/2004

Motor mounts broken. First time was when I got my transmission done at about 100,000 miles of which I never got reimbursed for per class action settlement. Second time was a few years back. Now I'm told that my motor mounts are broken at st. Lucie battery in jensen beach, florida. These motor mounds that Honda is putting in their vans don't hold the engine well without breaking.
