Turn signal sound indicator not audible when driving. Engine noise, open windows, radio, drown out the sound of the turn signal being on. Turn signal light indicator works but seems to be not enough to remind me to turn it off.

2 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2019 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 10/10/2020

The vehicle infotainment system crashed even after the safety recall. This made the speedometer go out for a short time, and completely disable the radio, rear camera, res, and most user controls. The system additionally stayed on after the car was powered off, and would only turn off by pulling the fuse!.

3 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2002 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 04/12/2020

A couple weeks ago as me and my 2 toddler sons were going down the road. The vehicle had what seemed a power surge and taillights went out and power went low radio stopped and doors unlocked. Luckily we were close to home I got new fuse for lights radio said error but music didn't matter the next day I had to jump it to got work but seemed ok. The next few weeks I dealt with doors locking and unlocking. And one morning came out both doors were open. I didn't let boys ride after problems escalated one day doors stopped and got stuck in middle when they were getting out. It I replaced some fuses and everything seemed ok but most days battery felt work when starting. I went to get boys and I'm glad I didn't have them when it died in middle of road smoking I got it in parking lot. Called father and we took battery out to go get a new one. The battery was swollen water and acid spitting out like it was going to burst. New battery installed and drove it maybe 5 min back home. Thought well it was battery whole time. Went inside to open easter things with boys I walked outside hour later and smelled electrical fire smell bad there was smoke coming out of hood not aloft but battery was dead. It seems like something keeps pushing power through the different elements causing them to short. If you look up on internet dead battery 2002 Honda Odyssey nothing but story's of power surges making vehicles loose power burn out the list goes on and on. What if my boys and I had lost power on highway. Or door decided to open I don't know the problem but every story talks of it. Kids lives in these vehicles are in danger. Please help. I say it could easily be accidents I was just Smart enough to avoid them by disconnecting paying attention and be prepared. Not everyone is like me most hop in and go now I have no vehicle no help and think of all the other children in these van's. Thank you.

4 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2019 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 02/05/2020

A brand new 2019 Honda Odyssey ex with 80 miles on it, started having trouble with vehicle's central display. Message network communication lost , even on slight moves while the car is on smooth freeways. Radio clicking static noise. Display unit turns off and on sporadically while the vehicle in motion or even sometimes when the vehicle is started from parking lot. Vehicle display goes blank completely. Cuts off back up camera, no radio, no bluetooth, no apps. As most of functions are controlled with touch screen feel like the vehicle is unsafe to operate. Dealer tried to fix it 2 times but now they blame Honda does not a solution yet. Raised a case (10281802) with Honda corporate but Honda refused to accept the problem and refused to give a loaner car and said its up to to dealer to give a loaner as a courtesy. I feel like I was sold a lemon. Both Honda corporate and Honda dealer is not to help me. Dealer says they cannot do anything. I feel the vehicle is not safe to drive with the central display unit which so critical to the vehicle's function. Worst part is radio clicking static noise cannot be controlled as the display is blank. All the above makes me frustrated that it happens on a new car and no one is helping me.

5 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2019 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 01/19/2020

In jan2020, during middle of a two hour drive with family, vehicle's electronic touch screen control panel along with steering wheel controls completely froze, disabling voice and/or touch command to access dash board, apple car play and even radio. Vehicle was on the highway driving in the range of 50-60 mph when it happened. Restarting vehicle at roadside stop did not reset the system. I noticed rear view camera quit working also, could not confirm about other electronic safety feature's working status. Vehicle's transmission seem to work fine so I drove slowly home and called dealership next day. Dealership requested to bring vehicle in house to hard reset the system. Dealership also mentioned that they are seeing similar issues in this model of vehicle. I could not get a satisfactory answer if the vehicle was safe to drive (to me it was not very safe even if some/all safety features possibly were working?). After factory reset, vehicle is working fine but I am requesting manufacturer for full electrical check up. I am uncomfortable to have full family in and risk a system freeze mid drive on a highway. Surprised it happened in a brand new vehicle.

6 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2019 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 11/25/2019

The central display goes blank, sometimes I get a message network communications lost, when its blank there is no backup camera, radio, entertainment system phone bluetooth. . . And even when the display work the backup camera will not always display and the entertainment system will not always work. , I also hear a popping sound from the speaker system like some wires are loose. . . I also had a few times that the dashboard behind the steering wheel where the speed and other important info are displayed went blank. This happened when the car was brand new with less than 500 miles, I went to service but it didnt help.

7 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2009 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 07/08/2019

Infotainment system freezes causing battery to drain to zero when parked. Radio stops, navigation stops, phone stops working, backup camera stops working. Evidently a common problem because class action suit filed in March in California. Took to dealer, theye changed battery, told me it was fixed. Froze again the next day. Vehicle was in motion when system failed. The next morning car would not start because battery drained. This was on a federal highway. Happened again after the battery was changed.

8 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2019 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 06/20/2019

Our 2019 Odyssey started having problems shortly after we got it. I tried trouble shooting myself for awhile. Finally started taking it to the dealership after 6 months of owning it and it's been there more times than I can count. It has electrical problems, bluetooth doesn't work, the infotainment system doesn't work properly. Nobody can hear me when I talk to them through the blue tooth or apple car play. The popping in the dash board is awful and it sounds like the van is going to catch fire at any moment. They have done a dash harness and full body harness on our van with no success. These problems happen when driving and the popping is when the infotainment/radio/music is playing or not playing. It's a serious hazard.

9 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2012 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 05/30/2019

I was driving/exiting a parking garage onto a street into traffic. Suddenly, the panel lights and and cabin lights started flashing and the radio and ac cut off, and immediately after, the car cut off and I coasted, through cars moving at speed, to the side of the road. The car was in motion on a city street. At the Honda dealership they took a few days to contact me, then told me I need to pay $800 for a battery cable before they diagnose any issues with the alternator.

13 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2018 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 01/03/2018

I just got delivery of this new 2018 ex-l w nav+res. The horn on this vehicle is too soft and sometimes on busy highways cannot be heard from other cars when the it is pressed in emergency, especially if the other driver is lessening to radio at moderate to high volume. Compared to previous years Odyssey and other vehicles this model trim has a single horn whereas other had double. The horn volume needs to higher for other to be able to hear.

14 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2012 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 08/09/2017

I went to a car wash on 8/9/2017 with attendants. When the car came out to be buffed the employees pulled the car over to be inspected. They said the sun/moon roof had shattered. After much discussion as to any problems such as rocks or other injuries I called my dealer which was nearby. I drove it there after the hole in the roof was somewhat secured by plastic and tape. The dealership made no mention of other problems of a sun roof. They said they could fix it. I ordered a new sun roof which is to be delivered tomorrow. I was not made aware that this was a known problem in other cars with sun roofs until searching the internet the next day. Hole is taped now so will get pictures when I get to the dealership tomorrow, 8/11/2017.

15 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2016 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 11/01/2016

While driving, dashboard, radio, rear and side camera shut off and then, a few seconds to 30 minutes later, go back on. This happens consistently when driving. I've brought it to the Honda dealership 3 times to date (car stayed at dealership for a week each time), and the problem persists.

16 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2005 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 08/01/2016

We have owned out dark blue 2005 Honda Odyssey for approximately 5 years. Recently, I am finding that the paint along the roof and side/front trim panels is chipping away. I have attempted to sand some of the bed spots and paint /protect again, but it is no use. The problem seems to be with the base layer below the blue paint. I have seen where this was identified, but I do not know where to go for more information on this defect the second area of concern is in the wiring for the radio and temperature control. There seems to be a loose wire or connection behind the panels. The back-lights for the radio and temperature control will turn on or off with no warning or indication as to why. The systems themselves work fine, it's only the visible lights that flicker, or turn off and on with no pattern. My fear is that it is an electrical problem that may cause a fire if the crossing of wires or shorting continues. This will happen when driving, sitting still, car off (power on), there is no common flag or trigger that would point to a problem. And all functions work (even when lights are off). Also, the car just started to vibrate when acceleration between 55-65. My mechanic stated that this may be due to faulty axles or possibly the transmission, both of which have open issues with Honda and to check with you first.

17 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2016 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 03/12/2016

The potential issue is in the design/programing of the car stereo causing an unexpected switch between audio sources. The vehicle has an option to play the rear audio or front audio source through the car speakers. When the vehicle is playing the rear audio through the speakers and the driver switches the I-mid display to the ¿display info¿ mode, through the steering wheel control or through the audio/phone/navigation buttons, the audios source is automatically changed to the front audio source. This sudden change has the ability to distract the driver in two ways. The unrequested change of mode can cause the driver to scramble to turn off or change the audio and also create a sudden increase in volume. The sudden increase in volume doesn¿t come directly from the vehicle but from the volume differences that exist through the different inputs. For example the dvd audio is quitter than xm radio and the aux inputs can have varying levels of output based on the device hooked up to them. I experienced this issue while I was driving on the highway while my kids were watching a disney movie in the back and it automatically switched to xm radio when I wanted to look at the vehicle information (mpg) to determine if I needed to stop for gas before arriving at my destination.

18 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2007 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 12/24/2013

Purchased car in December 2013. Vehicle makes a rumbling sound above the radio dash board when car reaches 30-35 miles per hour. Took car to service and was informed that car needed front in alignment and that tires were not wearing evenly. Had front end alignment completed. Car still makes rumbling sound. Have not had this experience on previous models. Sound is annoying. Considering rotating and/or replacing tires. What then if sound continues?.

19 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2013 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 12/21/2013

The view screen which is shared by the clock, radio, phone and back up cmaera does not work properly. When wearing polarized sunglasses the bottom right quadrant and part of the bottom left quadrant of the screen are blacked out with a yellowish edge. This makes backing up on sunny days hazardous because the oddyssey does not have good visibility in that area and is a risk of colision. When I first bought the vehicle theareas of blackness were dime sized, but have progressively increased in size. The Honda dealer and consumer linesay that this occurs with all Hondas that have a view screen and that the solution is "don't wear sunglasses when backing up".

20 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2013 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 08/01/2013

2010 & 2013 Honda Odyssey. Consumer writes in regards to radio issues in both vehicles. The consumer no longer owns the 2010 model. However, when he did own the vehicle, the sirus xm satellite radio would change stations on its own, over a three year period. During that period, two radios were replaced, numerous radios harnesses were also replaced. The consumer believed the problem was due to a faulty satellite radio signal. The consumer has since purchased a 2013 model, and is currently experiencing the same radio problems. The radio would change stations, then it would read no disc.

22 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2006 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 11/01/2009

This may not fall under safety, but I was looking for the form to file a recall investigation. Sorry if this is wrong. But could you pass along. . . I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey. My wireless headphones are pure static, not working at all. I am on my 3rd stereo with Honda, and now the warranty is up. I've found over 1,000 others online thus far with the exact same problem. It's a pretty big fix. I guess some dealers are not charging for the repairs because they see it so often, but most are. It is "there is a module that takes the dvd audio output and transits the signal over infrared to the headphones. This infrared module was the problem. " anyway- I would appreciate a recall being initiated on this, as so many are having the exact same issue. I've had problems before with the 6 disc changer just quitting. As I'm driving it starts rapidly spitting out all 6 discs, which to me is a safety deal. That was changed out 2x, and now- this. Something needs to be done with this.

23 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2005 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 08/01/2008

2005 Honda Odyssey minivan. The dvd system will not play through the headphones any longer. You can listen to the radio and cd's through the head phones but the dvd will not play through them. My husband and I are stuck listening to the kids dvd movie while traveling. Very frustrating. The headphone used to work just fine. They are not wireless, so it is not a battery issue.

27 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2002 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 05/23/2006

Driving home in my 2002 Honda Odyssey on an 80 degree evening, I heard a popping sound near the radio console, small amount of smoke came out of the volume control knob, and strong odor of burnt wire or something. Took the van to the dealer and was told that radio (cd/tape/dvd combo) needs to be replaced and it would cost about $1000. I didn't even hit the 4th year anniversary of ownership of this van and the radio failed already. The dealer said that cause is usually due to coins being slipped-in into the cd/tape slots by kids. The dealer opened the radio console and confirmed that it was not coins, but some kind of short circuit inside the radio. Never had a problem with the radio/cd/tape/dvd unit until the incident date.

28 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2002 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 01/13/2006

I recently had a car dealer tell me that the reason my car's electrical system shut down and battery died was because coins were put into the cd player. Since I don't have young kids, it is hard for me to believe. In addition, the cd player has continued to work and has never had any trouble playing up to or after the incident. I have heard some similar stories and most of them surround Honda's and more specifically, Honda Odyssey, which is my model. Is this possible or is someone taking advantage of me?.

29 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2003 Honda Odyssey
