1 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2010 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 11/05/2023

Passenger side sliding door jammed halfway open and would not close or open. Had to have the car towed to the mechanic and have all components of sliding door replaced (twice!). Driver's side strut spring broke under normal use - with 62000 miles on the vehicle. Now rear backup camera/gps/radio unit has ceased working at all. Passenger side door also randomly begins to close part way through opening, nearly injuring my child's friend who was exiting the vehicle.

2 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2022 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 07/28/2022

I own a Honda Odyssey elite 2022. For no reason the gps and radio screen in the vehicle went out while I am driving. I spoke to ms. Priecilla on 8/1/2022 working in America Honda motor in torran, California addrising her the setuation of the vehicle after I googled it, and fuond that this problem is in all the pilote and Odyssey vehicles since 2019. I asked her if she is aware of this problem she said no, and this is the first time she here something like that. I told her to google it because this problem is there since 2019 and the Honda dealer is not taking of this issue since 2019. I opened a case with Honda dealer in California and the case # 131-784-33. Saturday the 8/6/2022 I am gonna take to woodhaven dealer in new york to check the problem and check why the screen go out. It is a very important to check that safty of the cars made by Honda. Send all owner of this models a note or advice what to do if they have same issues. Also this days all cars are computerized and any thing wrong in the computer might put the drivers and passangers in danger if they didnot take care of it from the manifacture to help the owner and driver of the Honda. Thanks, m. Dalia.

3 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2009 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 01/01/2022

When Honda it department wrote and installed the in-dash navigation computer system they neglected to correct a permanently and known date and time glitch. January 2022 the date and time went back to 2002. Owners can not correct this glitch. Each time as you start the engine and begin to drive the navigation system give off a not expecting very loud high pitch sound , which is a safety hazard. It has startled me and my passenger where I have slammed on brakes or jerked my steering.

4 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2009 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 01/01/2022

Starting on January 1, 2022, my vehicle's clock (2009 Honda Odyssey touring w/navigation) are showing incorrect times on both the dash vehicle clock as well as the one on the navigation screen, and cannot be adjusted. Time on navigation screen always starts at around 7. 17pm, then works as usual, but resets after restarting car. Date always shows Jan 1, 2002. Dash clocks seems to work (advances normally), but just can't be adjusted, as it usually syncs with navigation clock. There is no adjustement possible to the clock; only minor +/- adjustments from the gps-feed time, and that adjustment is not functioning now. When I try to adjust the time, it acts erratic & jumps back to original setting. Other owners are reporting similar issues. . Read more...

5 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2020 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 01/21/2020

The infotainment system (is) started malfunctioning around 2000 miles. The screen went black and then came back on. It progressively got worse. There was crackling and static around and above the steering wheel. If system was on it went off with the crackling and if off it came on. The message on the screen says network communication lost. When off there is no gps, no backup camera, no speed limit notice, no climate control adjustment, no radio, no clock, no anything that is part of the is. And phones do not charge when system is off. This happens frequently with city driving and highway driving. If I hit a bump in the road the system will come on if off and off if on. I called Honda in torrence, CA and was given a case number: 10288286 on March 6. The car was purchased on January 6, 2020. We left NJ to drive to FL on January 24. The system had brief moments of black out between January 6 and 24. We were mostly without the system for the entire drive. I took it to ed morse Honda in riviera beach, FL in the beginning of February and was told this was a problem with pilots and Odysseys. I was told they would need the car for several days and could not promise they would be able to fix it. Honda did not have a fix. They had no loaners so I decided to wait until we relocated to another area of FL. At this time I received an email from wayne gross, service manager Honda universe, welcoming me to the Honda family. I emailed him about my problem with no response. I later found out he no longer worked there. I took it to regal Honda in lakeland, FL and was told the same thing. They would straighten out the wires but would not know if it was fixed. Honda had no fix. I decided to wait until I returned to NJ. I have contacted Honda universe and was told Honda had a fix on may 1. I can't confirm that with hq or service managers. I don't feel safe.

6 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2012 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 10/26/2015

Any time bright sunshine is present; it is impossible to read the temperature &/or radio settings. The black lettering on the light blue background forces a driver to "lean down" completelhy taking their eyes off the road in an attempt to read the information. And, even then, it is almost impossible to read the information! if the background was black & the letters were white (like the date & time on the gps screen) the "problem" would be completely eliminated. Note: this problem is still present in the 2015 model's. I have tried in vain to contact Honda engineering but it is "impossible" to get through to them! furthermore, my Honda dealer said: "there is no way to get to the proper people at Honda. " please help!!!.

7 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2015 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 05/04/2015

We embarked on an 8806 mile, 22 day road trip through the south and southwest to the midwest with our new 2015 Honda Odyssey ex. Driving was done during daylight hours only with the headlights on and instrument cluster lights as high as they could be set. All windows are tinted. 21 of the days were bright and sunny. We could not see the instrument cluster display on bright days. Neither the speedometer or the tachometer were readable. My wife monitored our speed with a garmin gps. This cluster has white numerals and a pale grey background. This is a design flaw which makes operation unsafe on bright days.

11 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2005 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 09/11/2005

Hello - I have a 2005 Odyssey that might have and others might have potential safety issues. A while back I found a loose bolt in the drivers side sliding door and another bolt that was not tightened at the factory. I am concerned that this represents a serious quality control breakdown. While my problem was addressed, since then I have had numerous other issues and in the process of filing a lemon law complaint as a result of repeated attempts to fix my vehicle. My concern is also that my dealership told me they have found six other vehicles with loose bolts in the car. If someone is in a position to do this, what else would this person potentially have done to this vehicle and others. This makes me wonder if someone at the factory was doing this as a joke or if there are other potential safety issues related to this finding. In addition to this, I have had multiple problems with the dvd/navigation system and the rear camera often stays on while moving forward. This is quite a distraction to the driver. I have been working these issues with Honda customer care for the last 5 weeks with no progress. Also, this vehicle has been in five times to have this looked at. I continue to have problems with this vehicle. While it was in having the dvd/nav problem looked and the rear view mirror fixed (fell off while driving down the interstate), three additional recalls were found. Also, the rear view mirror could not be fixed and the windshield was replaced. Had to bring it back in the following day since it was not installed correctly (had wind noise). This issue was fixed. I am now on vacation and the windshield washers stopped working. The problems that continue to mount up on this vehicle make me question its overall safety and road worthiness.
