Tl -the contact owns a 2001 Honda Passport. The contact stated that the vehicles frame was completely corroded. The contact mentioned that the vehicle could not pass inspection do to the condition of the frame. Also the brackets that hold the gas tank were corroded as well. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the vehicle was unsafe since the frame had holes in it. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offered any assistance since the vehicle was no longer under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 118,000. Pm.

The contact owns a 1999 Honda Passport 4wd. The contact stated that the frame and its brackets were rusted. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted and the vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 65,000 and the current mileage was 81,000. Updated 12/12/lj.

I had to junk my Honda Passport because the bracket that held the wheel to the frame detached due to corrosion which I was told would not be safe if attempted to repair it. Two yrs later there is a recall for that exact thing. How is it possible that Honda claims the could fix this when no one else could and why will they not compensate for my loss. Sorry but an eight yr old car should not just fall apart.
