1 Tailgate problem of the 2001 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 07/06/2010

The contact owns a 2001 Honda Passport. The contact stated while driving approximately 55 mph and attempting to pass another vehicle, the rear began veering in the opposite direction of the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who discovered that the frame was corroded and rusted. In addition, the main beam of the frame had completely fractured from the vehicle. The mechanic was able to remove chunks of corroded metal from the frame but advised the contact that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The failure and current mileage was approximately 133,000.
