The contact owns a 2019 Honda Passport. The contact stated that due to prolonged sunlight exposure, the interior foam fabric of the driver’s and passenger’s side sun visors were warped and swollen. The swelling caused the interior parts of the sun visors to poke through the exterior fabric coverings, creating a bulge that obstructed the view while driving. Additionally, the interior plastic housing had separated. The sun visors failed to stay in place and flapped around loosely, striking the driver’s head while driving. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the failure was confirmed. The failure mileage was 54,700.
