Paint is peeling, first time was on the front roof and the most recent was on the top of the decklid see photo attached. Local dealer is unsure if it falls under warranty so I had to take it to a paintshop outside the dealer to get it repaint. The paint repair technician said that happens when sheetmetal gets contaminated prior to getting painted. See photo attached. Vehicle was stationary when paint peeled off. It starts like a blister then peels off.

2015 Hyundai Elantra limited (I bought new-only owner). Color is pearl white and the paint is peeling off on hood and roof. The car looks terrible. I have a 1996 Mazda proteje and a 2005 Honda crv and they both looks better than my 2015 Hyundai. Very upset with Hyundai there needs to be a recall on the paint.
My 2017 white pearl Hyundai Elantra has huge pieces of paint peeling off of the hood of my car. I notice it in October 2019 the big piece then 3 months later some more began to peel.
I own a white 2013 Hyundai Elantra and the paint is peeling back even though there has been no damage to the area. After returning from a 120 miles expressway trip the paint is peeling away.

My 2017 Hyundai Elantra is having some type of manufacture defect in the paint job. It started out as one spot on the driver side on the hood of the car where the paint lifted just from wind resistant and hard rain. The paint began to chip around the area and puckle up. A couple days later on passenger side another area popped up with the same thing happening. About a week later two different areas were spotted on the roof on the car. The clear coat and paint has completely lifted and it's down to the frame of the car. Over the weeks of still having to drive the car and having inclement weather these areas have grown bigger. I'm afraid if not fixed soon the areas will began to rust as well as will this also happen on other areas of the car. Definitely not good for a brand new car.
The paint on the car peels off in sheets. Completely below the primer layer exposing the metal. I have noticed several other Elantra's that seem to have the same issue.
Most of the Hyundai Elantra white cars paint is coming off. The paint started chipping and coming off with my car. My car is a 2017 and I had it less than 2 yrs. I took it back to the dealership and they did admit they are having problems with most of the white cars paint coming off. They paid 90% of the repair to my car but I had to still come out of pocket of $565 and they didn't put me in a rental while my car was gettinf repaired. I felt like everything was unfair and this problem with Hyundai white car need to be address as a recall.
The vehicle original paint job is peeling, hood, roof , no indication of hail damage, accident or etc. . .
I noticed the paint on my driver side, side window looked like it had bubbled, got worse and is starting to happen on the other side. Also, the grill in front looks like it has melted in numerous areas. Brought to dealership and manager of body shop said he has never seen paint melt and bubble like that this needs to be fixed!.
2017 Hyundai Elantra; the paint is peeling away on the roof and, hood and front bumper.
When I purchased my car it was brand new it is white and within 1 to 1. 5 years the paint job began peeling off from the front. I use the car for work and I drive a lot. I took in the car and I was told it was out of warranty because it was over 4,000 miles. The problem has gotten so bad that by simply washing the car the paint job peels off. From the time I took it in until now I have seen other Hyundai cars (about 5-7) with the same problem; all white. About 1 yr ago I began having problems opening the front driver door. The car was unlocked but I couldn't open it from the outside. I would have to go through the passenger door and open the driver door from the inside. If I don't lock the car I don't have any issues. If I lock it I have to pull on the handle about 3 - 4 times. This is a big inconvenience and a safety hazard. About two weeks ago I began having issues with the back passenger door. I have a two year old and her car seat was placed on the back seat behind the passenger. The back passenger door was on child lock. Two weeks ago that door also stopped opening and I can't open it from the inside due to the child lock. I have moved my daughter's car seat and it is now positioned directly behind the driver seat. This is a big safety issue because I can't see her at all when I am driving. Also, I can't put that door on child lock because when that door starts giving me the same problem (not opening) I will not be able to open it from the inside if it is on child lock. So now I have to worry about my two year old reaching for the handle and opening the door. I have done online searches and have come across other Hyundai vehicles having the same issues or the door handles completely coming off. Hyundai needs to take accountability for the door handles and poor paint job.
The clear coat began to peel away on my car and then the paint started peeling. It looks terrible and and when I went to trade in for a new model I was told the paint drastically lowers the value and puts the car in "poor" condition. This is very embarrassing having to explain over and over why the car looks so bad. As you can see in the pictures it is only the hood and getting worse over the past several months. The rest of the car has not been affected I took it to a local paint shop who suggested I take it to the dealership since it appears to be defective clear coat used on the original paint job. I took it to the dealership and was informed there is no recall on it but says it is a "common complaint". I just want the hood fixed, I use this car for business.

Elantra gt two issues related to body integrity and paint. Noticed today on rear the small triangle window in back has chrome/metal decorative molding missing. Clear the adhesive gave way. Car is only hand-washed or goes thru touch-free car wash. 5 spots on different places on the car of paint, size of the head of a q-tip, removed. Not related to scratches, paint clearly looks peeled not chipped. Locations include on hatchdoor, side panels, between door and roof, and hood. Car is in a garage at home and parking structure at work with limited outside exposure. Both issues are insane for a car with 14,826 miles on it.
My car paint started chipping it's been doing this since I bought the car in 2010. I've researched and many people have complained about there cars paint chipping. But unfortunately the dealership would do anything about it.

In-shop for transmission 3 times (on 3rd trans); paint peeling on bumper (dealer refusted to paint);clear coat cracked and bubbled on spoiler & side mirror (dealer repainted); noticed a/c didn't work right after purchase; check engine light on (reason for replacing engine coil, etc. And converter); interior driver's door handle broke; dealer always fights getting us a loaner/rental car (but we have to have one since its our only car now!); always in shop an extensive amount of time except when they are paying for us a rental; manufacturer contacted by phone in may 2001, but offered no help.
