36 Warnings problem of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 08/12/2022

Vehicle sped up/kept going towards the traffic ahead while on adaptive cruise control. Vehicle also started showing “radar disabled” warnings & has continued intermittently (on a daily basis) for about the past 3 weeks. The “forward collision avoidance disabled” warnings keep popping up even while not on cruise control. Nothing physical is blocking the radar. The on-board computer does not record any errors & the dealership claims they can’t see the error (apparently the computer doesn’t record/store the errors). I have pictures & videos of the errors & reported to the manufacturer.

Failure Date: 07/17/2022

When driving it gives warning forward collision assistance system disabled. Radar blocked. Warning stays for 3 to 5 minutes and goes away. But during that time when car is in cruise it is disabling the cruise mode. I took it dealer and said they need to change the camera module unit behind the rear view mirror and replaced it. But after coming out of dealer and driving for few miles again warning popped up and stayed for few mins. I took it back to dealer and this time they said avn head unit need to be replaced. I informed this to Hyundai as well and they created case with case number: 20602610. This started happening in July 2022 and I was coordinating with dealer to fix this. Still the issue is being worked on.

38 Warnings problem of the 2021 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 07/05/2022

Hyundai claims that this is a "start-up" safety feature (meaning that it is designed to re-activate itself every time you start the car, even if you had deactivated the feature), and that there is nothing that they can do about overriding this since it is a manufacturing issue. While I appreciate the notion of Hyundai trying to promote safety, I continue to be very upset by this because the system is way too sensitive and has already on 2 separate occasions, caused the brakes to virtually lock-up involuntarily at freeway speeds on the freeways, even though I was otherwise completely in control of the vehicle and certainly not on the brink of any type of accident prior. I continue to contend that this feature is dangerous and that it certainly could cause an accident. Hyundai should not force their customers to use this dangerous feature in the interest of promoting safety, when it reality, it actually does just the opposite.

39 Warnings problem of the 2020 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 06/21/2022

I approached the intersection slowly and stopped completely to turn right. There were a couple of vehicles in front of mine. I pushed the 'auto hold' button while waiting on the red light. A second later, I felt the car moving on its own and stepped on the brakes. The car did not stop and went forward and crashed into the vehicle in front of me. My vehicle did not stop after the initial collision and accelerated more on its own and went forward. I pushed the 'park' button to stop the car but it did not work and the vehicle kept moving forward fast and hit another car. It still kept moving fast until it hit other things. The car stopped after it went through a wire fence and hit a tree. The brake did not work at all. The car never stopped once it started moving on its own. Forward collision warning never came when it was approaching the first vehicle in front of mine on its own. The 'check engine' light was on for 3 days and disappeared on its own about 1 month prior to the accident. I tried to take it to the service center immediately but the earliest appointment I could get was in June. The service adviser at Hyundai service said there was nothing that they can do since the warning light was not on when we asked for a service check on 6/11/22.

40 Warnings problem of the 2021 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 04/18/2021

While driving on April 18/2021, my 7-month-old less than 2000 miles Hyundai Palisade started to give me alerts that some safetyfeatureswere shutting down. With messages like this "check forward collision-avoidance assist system", the same happened with the lane departure system and other safety features. Since then the car has continued giving system errors after the car has been driving for a few minutes. I have already an appointmentwith the dealer's service department on 4/30.
