The air bag light stays on while driving. Unknown cause of the problem. Recall was done prior to buying the car to my knowledge. But I assume that the part went out again.

The office sent forms for the contact to complete and return, along with any pictures. The dealer also requested that the vehicle be taken in to be diagnosed which was still pending. The air bag light is constantly on. When I turn the car on the passenger restraint light goes on to show restraint system off. . However when there is nobody sitting in front seat the light goes out and it should stay on.

On July 27, 2019 driving on a county road at 50 mph in dry and sunny conditions, the airbag light illuminated as well as the passenger seatbelt light. The next morning I scheduled service right away. I started my car to go to schwartz Mazda in shrewsbury NJ on 7/27/19 for service thru my purchased extended warranty. At that time, neither the airbag or seatbelt lights were on, but nervous for mine and my family's safety, I brought the car anyway. I was informed by jarrod in the service department that they reset my computer and to let him know if the light(s) came back on. The airbag light came on briefly on August 11th while driving on a residential road going 35 mph on a dry and sunny day. I turned off the vehicle to park and then restarted my car to return home. The light was not on. Monday August 19th while traveling on a county road at 45 mph in rainy wet driving conditions airbag light came on accompanied by the flashing passenger seat belt light again. Made an appt for service on Tuesday, August 20th with once again, schwartz Mazda in shrewsbury NJ where I purchased the vehicle in may of 2018. Both lights were on upon my arrival in sunny and dry driving conditions. Their code reader produced the code "passenger mat sensor" and I was informed they would have to send it to circle Hyundai in shrewsbury for further diagnosis. I received a call from jarrod at schwartz Mazda at 11 am on Thursday August 22 with news that my repair was not covered under my purchased extended warranty and that the repairs would cost almost $600. I am fearful for my family's safety and the resources I have reached out to have been useless and unaccomodating. Why is no one concerned for the safety of airbags that will not inflate in the event of emergency? please contact me with a course of action I can take to repair this vehicle and keep my family safe.

Air bag clock spring causing air bag light to come on. Vehicle was made April of 2008 there is an existing recall for vehicles made in March of 2008 for this exact issue.

The air bag light came on my console 2 days ago. I took it to a mechanic who ran a diagnostic on it and concluded it was the occupant classification system (OCS). I found out there was a recall on 07/25/2012 recal number 12v354000 for this exact problem. However, I was not the owner at that time. I called 2 Hyundai dealerships nearby - countryside and st. Petersburg, FL who both told me they could not find any open recalls under my VIN number. This is unacceptable. Hyundai needs to accept all charges for the cost to repair this issue and it should be covered under the recall. As of now I am driving a vehicle that is unsafe because Hyundai will not honor my vehicle!!!.

I took my car to get checked after a air bag light came on at the dealership. After their diagnostic they want to charge me $2500 to fix a seat belt buckle and a sensor under the occupant seat. I have had this car under a year and do not have the type of income to correct this ASAP. The light is keeping me from getting my car inspected which in the long run can cost me my job. I called the phone number here provided here to be told 61 cases have been reported with the same complaint. This needs to be recalled. This is the second problem I have had with this car,the first being a recall on the coil springs. I was driving when this light came on.

Takata recall airbag light on and my SUV has been in 0 aciddents, the ac air states it's on but doesn't blow any air at all! it only has 69640k miles, knocking sound when I am on park or have the brake on while at red light or stop sign!.

My airbag light has been on in my vehicle. I took it to the dealer today, and they diagnosed it as a clock spring problem. They said my airbag is not safe (may not deploy). They said there is no active recall, but I did a little research and found out the older Santa Fe, veracruz, sonata and elantra all have recalls for this exact same problem. It is clearly a Hyundai problem and they need to issue a recall for the later model vehicles (mine is a 2014).

The airbag lights keep coming on - I am now on my third repair to fix this ongoing problem. I likely need to replace the airbags! so costly but it is a safety issue so how can I not? this is a known and ongoing issue and Hyundai should be responsible and cover this defect.

Airbag light remains on so this is a safety issue. Will I have to pay for this? I really don't know the history of this vehicle I never received a car fax on it. That is why I need to know if there were any recalls on the airbag with the airbag light remains on. I know this might be because of the module having to be replaced.

The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (bentley Hyundai, 3805 university dr NW, huntsville, al 35816) where it was diagnosed that the air bag needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue, but did not offer any assistance. The failure mileage was 229,000.

Air bag light on dashboard will not go off.

A week ago, the red lamp on my dashboard for air bag began to stay lit, while driving, parked, anytime the vehicle was running. Then a few days ago, while my 275 lb son was sitting in the passenger seat, the passenger air bag light stayed lit, saying off, indicating it was not working, despite having a passenger in the seat. Both of these have had recalls, (12v354000) and 11v472000, but I have not received notification to have serviced. One I suspect is because my vehicle was manufactured March 27th, and the recalled includes dates though March 21 (2008) but it is the same problem, so my vehicle should be repaired without cost to me. This is a safety concern for both drivers and passengers in this vehicle. I also have a special needs son, who cannot comprehend safety issues. . . .

A few days ago after starting the ignition on the computer performed its normal check, however, the air bag light remained continuously on. This continues to stay on each time I turn on the car. The airbag light does not blink, it remains constantly on. Passenger airbag light works according to the light above the radio; it indicates "off" when no one is sitting in the passenger seat and the light turns off when someone sits down. The horn does work, however the buttons on the steering wheel do not work. The buttons on the steering wheel began to not work prior to the airbag light coming on. There is a recall for the clock spring contact assembly under NHTSA campaign number: 11v472000. This recall only includes Santa Fe's manufactured up to March 20th, 2008. My Santa Fe was manufactured after on April 24th, 2008. Requesting investigation to extend this recall due to there are multiple complaints regarding this malfunction on the clock spring for the Santa Fe on vehicles made after the date of March 20th, 2008. Multiple complaints regarding this are found on the NHTSA website with this same malfunction for vehicles after the date of the recall.

Air bag light is on continuously after starting (light goes out for 6" at ignition to on). It throws the code b1448. I can reset it with my scanner, but it returns after a week.

To whom it may have my airbag light is lighting up.

A couple of weeks ago, my airbag light was intermittent. This lasted for a couple of days. Currently, my the light goes off for a second when starting the vehicle. Then, it is on all of the time.
