Right front fog light inoperative. Dealer replaced halogen bulb. Within a few days fog lamp overheated causing bulb socket and lens bulb holder to completely melt down causing bulb to fall down onto the inside of the right front bumper and burned two holes through bumper almost causing a fire as bulb was still functioning. No circuit breakers or fuses blew. Dealer states this has happened before to other vehicles and now dealer needs to replace both socket & wiring and complete lens body.

The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer because the air bag light was illuminated on the instrument panel. The dealer ordered a fuse box, but that did not correct the failure. They ordered the same part again, but the light remains illuminated. He filed a complaint with Hyundai consumer affairs. The air bag has not yet deployed unexpectedly. The powertrain was unknown. The current and failure mileages were 6,000. Updated 11/14/07.

The night I took delivery of the vehical I had electrical problems this was to be fix by dealership, well now 8/15/2004 there are more elec. Problems the fuses are blowing and the brakes are not stopping as should be. Also the trasmission when appling the gas pulls to the right, and between 40/60 mph jecksing sensation to the vehicle.

Occasionaly as I drive at night the headlights will dim, clock will flash, and the windshield wipers will slow down because the alernator will not charge the battery. Occasionaly when I stop and turn the car off I will come back out to restart the car and it will not start because of the battery being dead and not being charged by the alternator. I have already had the battery and alternator replaced once on 7/26/02 and it is starting to do the same thing again. . Read more...
