Air bag light stays on, the driver seat belt doesn't always securely click down, and the passenger occupant light intermittently works. The bushing in the rear spindle is severly worn and causing the car to sway and bounce on road making it hard to control. ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly #vpic#.
Airbag light(driver side) turned on by itself during driving, and stayed on(sometime turned off by itself too). Has been going on for almost a week.
Air bag light stays on all the time. This is already a recall for my make, model and year, but my VIN is not part of the recall. This is a safety issue and should be a recall for all vehicles affected.
The airbag light stays on and is there when you turn the ignition on and while driving it doesn't go away.
Airbag light came on. Key Hyundai milford CT sent seat out for recalibration at 40,000 miles. They replaced the seat belt buckles at 45,000 miles. Airbag light is still on. Key Hyundai told us they cannot help. Now key tells us that the seat belt buckles must be replace, again, at our cost. Hyundai corporate won't help. We are driving with an apparently in-operable airbag system.
Takata recall 1)when the engine was in motion on a city street in a speed of 25 mph or lower whole body is shaking and vibrating like pulling up and down continuously. 2)in motion sometimes engine is doing some different kind of nice and it loses electronic stability control. 3) and my air bag light is always on. 4) overall my car is giving so less mileage than expected by you .
Takata recall: my airbag light started flashing, now it will not go off.
As I was sitting in my driveway, the airbag light came on. It was going on and off then staying off while driving. It is now steadily on. Also, suddenly the passenger side seat belt unbuckle light now flashes continuously, and only goes out of I buckle the seat belt or of someone sits on seat and buckles it. I entered the VIN on Hyundai website and they verify no open recalls. This issue initially started at idle in my driveway shortly after start the car.
Air bag lights are on, the daealer say there is no recallon the air bag for my car. At one point I recieved a notice but dont remember taking it to the dealer due to my being out of town than in. The light stay on all the time while the ignitionis on. Not the passenger but the driver side.
My airbag light on my car turned on one morning when I was driving it.
The airbzg light came on after my girfriend sat in the passenger seat . After leaving the vehicle the airbag light is staying on indicating a faulr in the airbag / OCS system. I had the codes pulled by independant mechanic and code b1448 showed indicating the seat mat sensor was defective . I went to Hyundai dealer in north hampton new hampshire. The dealer said they would have to diagnose the issue for $125 and it costs about 1400 to replace the mat , many people online in forums have the same issue . They were able to have this repai done . Its campaign 083 . I was told to contact Hyundai corporate by service employee at the dealership . Hyundai continued to claim my VIN is not listed . This is not a recall but campaign . The campaign affects 2006 and newer Sonatas . The huyndai corporate employee said I csn have the car diagnosed and then they can submit a "request" to have corporate authorize the repair . Which would cost significant money . Others online had no problem getting this repair done free as its a known issue with the Sonata . Failure of the seat mat and subsequent airbag malfunction light is very concerning to me cause I do not know if my airbag will functiin.
Airbag lights are constantly on, even after multiple repairs. Passenger seatbelt flickers on off when someone in the passenger seat. Looking on-line, there are several 2006 Sonata owners with the same issue. If truly the airbag does not work then the light is on, this is a huge safety risk. Enough on line to suggest this is an issue and should be recalled on-going.
Air bag light in dashboard intermittently on. Bad sensor.
My air bag light stays on I didnt have accident or they didnt deploy.
Airbag light on dash won't go off. . . Came on for no reason at all!.
1 week ago I purchased via private sale a 2006 Hyundai Sonata. The airbag light came on the next day. I took to garage for required annual inspection and failed because the airbag light is on. I find it quite impossible to be charged the enormous fee from a dealer to correct this issue. Then I found out it had been recalled in the past for this issue and now Hyundai is no longer honoring the free fix. What can you do for me?.
Airbag light on dashboard has come on and will not go out.
Responded to a airbag recall July 2013. Dealership indicated they corrected recall. However, now 11/2017 airbag light goes on. Car mechanic says light is indicating a recall on airbag. Contacted Hyundai consumer affairs and was told that the correction only replaced the seatbelt not the seatbelt tentioner and we were never informed that their was no fix at the time for the tentioner. No further notice went out indicating repair could be done. They indicate it can be fixed now under campaign txx2.
Hi my airbag light is on continuously and when I scan with obd scanner it shows b1448 code. (OCS) . . . So how to fix it. . . . . . Can Hyundai dealer will repair this for free. . . . . Because its a recall as well. . . .
The esc off started just lighting up out of no where then staying on till I restarted the vehicle now the air bag light is staying on after I start the vehicle what could be causing this to be happening? also it the esc happens while in motion and the airbag happened with car was stationary.
Air bag light on dash stayed lit all the time. Took to mechanic who said code showed passenger side sensor is faulty which means the whole seat has to be replaced in order for entire air bag system to work. Said codes showed prior similar occurances. Hyundai needs to reimburse for replacement and issue recall -lots of similar accounts online.
The airbag light on the dashboard stays on and the passenger continuously blinks. I happened to click/engage the seat belt (with no one in the seat) and the passenger light goes off but the airbag light on dashboard stays on. I do not know the exact date this started happening because my daughter drives it and she's going to colorado college in colorado springs. But today's date is 6/5/2017.
Driver side air bag light is on. I take it to the dealer (lhm Hyundai in spokane valley, wa), they fix it and it keeps turning back on. This happened again when I adjusted the seat. The car was parked when I moved the seat back to remove and clean the mat, and then moved it back in the forward normal position. When I turned on the ignition the light turned on and is still on continuously. When I called to make an appointment, I was told that it may not be the recall issue and that I may have to pay for a diagostic on it. Isn't this still part of the recall with the seat sensor? this has been happening on and off for several years.
Airbag light is on in the car. Hyundai dealership identified it as a free recall and that the seat would need to be shipped out to California to be repaired to correct OCS. The seat was unable to be shipped out due to the lack of loaner vehicle. Sometime later checked back with dealership about getting recall completed. Now there is no active recall on the passenger seat OCS, and dealer did not record the diagnosis on the vehicle airbag system. Dealer wants to charge another $130 to read codes for work already completed. The approx. Original mileage was 64000 when dealer originally diagnosed.
Air bag light remains on, the car was not involved in an accident prior to the light coming on. I was on an online Hyundai forum and this seems to be a problem for many owners. I contacted Hyundai case#10275049 about recall 08v161000. Hyundai says my car is not involved in that or any other airbag recall.
I have an airbag light on the in the instrument cluster panel. Scan tool read the code: b1448 which is "NHTSA campaign number: 08v161000". Patriot GMC Hyundai dealer in bartlesville, ok and Hyundai technical support refuse to recognize this as an recall. The car has 116300 miles on it.
Airbag light came on at 145,000 miles. I was told that the airbags are only covered by the basic warranty, 5 years/60,000 miles. What happened, seatbelts and airbags were covered under a separate warranty for the lifetime of the car.
Airbag light on dash is illuminated and the code is b1448 which is associated with the passenger sensor mat being defective. My make and model year was associated with a recall that covered this safety issue but for some reason my specific VIN number was not included, therefor Hyundai will not cover the repair for their safety problem. Frustrated consumer.
Takata recall air bag light on dashboard remains lit at all the time.
Hyundai Sonata 06. Air bags light on for no reason. Found code b1448 stored. Air bags not working properly to protect drivers and passengers from death or serious injury in the crash.
Airbag light stays on when driving or idle.
The airbag light is on in the dash board and the passenger air bag sign is lit in the center console even though there is no passenger in the passenger seat. It started showing couple of days back at the 106,000 miles. I called the Hyundai customer service and they mentioned that there is no recall open. I see NHTSA campaign number: 08v161000 related to airbags for 2006 Hyundai Sonata.
The contact owns a 2006 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that the air bag indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the OCS for the front passenger seat sensor failed, but was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 08v161000 (air bags). The failure was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 146,000.
My airbag light came on in my vehicle due to bad seat belt pretensioners. After taking my car to the dealer they advised me that the pretensioners had been replaced in 2007 and did not fall under the warranty/recall. After reading that my car falls under the repair statue and statement made by Hyundai my car has not been fixed. The campaign number that I am referring to is campaign number pe14023. The first repairs occurred at 30k and 35k miles approximately.
Air bag light on dash board lit up and stays illuminated. Looking through other complaints this seems like a very common issue. Needs to be investigated.
