I have a 2006 Hyundai Sonata that had my airbag and right seat belt light come on at the exact time. Researching this online I see I am not the first person to mention this defect with the 2006 Sonata and feel this problem should be addressed. This is a major issue leaving the driver with no airbags in the case of an accident. The cost to get this fixed is around $400. 00 and I am told by the dealerships they know it is an issue with this model and that many customers have filed complaints regarding it. 50 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 09/15/2008

Since I have had the car I have complained that when my 25 year old daughter sits in the front seat the air bag is not activated. She weights approx. 125lbs. They told me that they will not fix the seat cushion because she does not weigh enough. That's crazy she has no problem in any other car. I thought that's why they sent out this recall " when a small structure adult sits in the front seat the OCS does not properly activate". Healy brothers Hyundai said that if the tech sits in the seat and the light goes off they will not fix the problem but that's not what the recall is about. It's about a small adult. I feel very uncomfortably when she is in the car and the air bag is not working. Is there any way I can have the OCS reprogrammed as the recall suggests.
