The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who poured washer fluid into the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to a local mechanic to check the oil, the oil was 2 quarts low and the mileage was below the next recommended oil change. In addition, the scheduled oil change date had not occurred. The contact stated the failure recurred. The contact took the vehicle to another dealer who performed a diagnostic and stated they did not see a leak and the vehicle was not smoking, therefore the dealer stated the oil was leaking in the engine. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

The contact was informed that the failure might be related to NHTSA campaign number: 17v226000 (engine and engine cooling); however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
