Vehicle has the same engine as the recall in sc176 for kia soul and has the exact same situation as described in the recall. 1. 6l gdi engine now has one cylinder with no compression, has caused engine to stall while driving and has oil leaking through the exhaust system. Accidents have been avoided but the vehicle can not be driven for extended times as the system gets hot it leads to stall or potential for fire as mentioned in sc176.

I've always had my vehicle well maintained and can get records or oil changes/regular vehicle maintenance. I had my oil changed at a dealership and couple of weeks later the oil light was back and the engine light was on with almost 2,000 miles left until my next oil change and when they checked they said there were no oil leaks and the fluids were topped off. They said the engine light had something to do with my emmisions. 2 weeks later I'm driving and my engine starts knocking so I pull over immediately and open my hood and check my oil and it's gone. I put 3 quarts in and drove it home where I parked it until January 16th when I had it taken to Hyundai to be diagnosed and they told me I had recalls and that I needed a new gasket seal and oil change. When I picked up the car after they said it was fixed it still had noise and I was told the recalled parts werent available and that it was safe to drive home and drive back on the interstate. Hyundai just recalled alot of 2012 cars that were manufactured in 2011 and I'm hoping this can get looked into and I can get some help because I have all my service records and everything showing where I kept up the car and this just started happening out of no where. Also if this affects me in any way my car is barely over 100,000 so Hyundai said I was out of luck as far as warranty and I've already spent 600 dollars for them to fix the wrong thing.
