The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 20v705000 (engine and engine cooling) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact's wife was parking the vehicle, when a burning oil odor was detected and saw smoke coming from under the hood from the front passenger's side. The contact stated that there was an oil leak from the alternator and smoke came from under the gasket valve cover. Coastal Hyundai (915 w new haven Ave, melbourne, FL 32901) was made aware of the failure relating it to the recall but informed the contact that the remedy was not yet available.
