Car has unintended acceleration that can only be stopped by turning off ignition key. This happens without warning. When stopped and foot on brake car accelerates to top rpm then brake goes to floor resulting in no control of car.

Vehicle was in motion on a city street when the engine seemed to acquire a life of its own and sped up, unresponsive to drivers application of brakes for several seconds. As driver brought the vehicle to a stop, a puff of white smoke emerged from under the hood.
We purchased this 2021 Chevrolet trailblazer rs new from the dealership and we noticed on the second day of owership that the brakes were "squealing". The dealership initially inspected the vehicle ASAP and without having to go through the service department. However, the problem not only continued, it persists to this day. Additionally, we just purchased a used 2023 Chevrolet trailblazer rs (with under 10,000 miles) and are experiencing the identical issues with the brakes squealing.

When I press brake pedal down the brake starts to slow the car, but all of the sudden the brake is completely to the floor. The car just keeps going. Brakes completely gone. I had to use the e brake to stop the car from slamming into another car in an intersection. I was able to pull the car off and on to a side road where I called aaa for a tow. That unfortunately was not the first time this has happened. The first was in a drive thru. I went to stop at the window and literally just kept rolling like I was not even pressing the brake. I started to panic and frantically pumping brake when finally I somehow had brakes again and the car came to a sudden stop. Very scary. I reported this issue to Infiniti and the lady on the chat live said sorry there's nothing we can do for you. I have read blogs and blogs of people having the same issue I don't get how this is legal and not recalled. I had my child with me the day I used the e brake he was so scared he didn't want to ride in the car again.
The contact owns a 2007 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that the air conditioner did not operate as intended. Only cold air emitted and could not be turned off. In addition, the vehicle brakes independently applied and the vehicle experienced a loss of power. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was 126,000.
1. Takata recall information site says my car's VIN number has 0 recall. My car is over 12 years old, and I live in florida. Any chance of it exploding in such an old car? 2. When ignition is started, on occasion, car has screeching sound when engine is cold and car is not in motion. Does not happen all the time. Also occasionally when brake is applied, it 'moans'. It also screeched recently when brakes were applied to stop when car was only going 2-3 mph. 3. Light indicator saying either oil (or water?) is needed is constantly on, for years now, yet mechanic says nothing is wrong. . . Light indicator computer is faulty. True or false?.
Window goes down on its on when try to put it up just comes right down alarm goes on but dnt lock doors dash light cuts off at times when I accelerate vehicle starts off fine 2 seconds later feels like it locks up and just gets sluggish starts running fine come to complete starts and takes off slow lights come on dash vehicle won't start I pull key out ignition put back and starts up fine.
Tl-the contact owns a 2005 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that while driving 30 mph, the steering wheel became difficult and was unable to engage the brakes and accelerator pedals. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic they were unable to diagnosed the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000. Lb.
This safety concern is in regards to the brakes every time I accelerate on the brakes from speed there is a vibration causing the vehicle to jerk.
Car will shut off while driving vdc and check engine light will come on brakes makes whole car shake when applying the brakes.
I recently bought a used 03 Infiniti G35 coupe, the first problem that I found is that when refueling the car shuts the gas pump nozzle off about every 20-30¢ and happens every time I refuel regardless of what gas station I go to. The secound problem is the brakes it's happened to me twice in the last month, both times were driving slow around 5-10mph in the morning when it's cold regardless if I let my car warm up for a few minutes or start up and go.

Hello I purchased a 2004 infinit G35 sedan from star max in orlando FL east colonial drive ive only had it 3 days tops , first of all I left and the gas gauge isn't working or the speedometer , also my radio keeps going in and out my left window seems to go up and down when it wants too, my tire pressure lights on and my cars making a very funny roaring noise in the back. Also when I go to make turns ,my wheel just keeps turning on its own and hard to turn back straight it locks up . And I believe there may be a fuel pump issue as well ive spoken to several sales men there and complained saying I need to fix things the right way or I need a different car im paying $325 a month way out of my budget on a buy here pay here car that's not even worth it at this moment in time. Please someone help me I need to do something about this fast!.
Two different incidents - I was in two minor low speed incidents. I believe at the time of the second the brake rod got bent (which is currently speculation and the insurance is investigating) from the first accident. After the first my accelerator would not function on some left hand turns. I got in the second accident because of the inability to "brake harder" and I was amazed I couldn't stop in the distance provided, and this braking scenario and outcome is repeatable. If I brake hard -- harder -- full stop. By the time I do a full stop my braking power is diminished and in my accident I was unable to stop in a "normal" distance. Furthermore, after this second accident at < 20 mph. I have intermittent accelerator failure in all driving scenarios. I could be driving and it just cuts out. No error lights in either of these scenarios. No check engine, no slip, no abs, warnings. I previously tried to bring it up to corporate Nissan and they said I had to contact the local dealership. Both dealerships I tried pawned me off to parts department, which the guy was confused as to why I am asking him about potential short falls. They wanted over $1,000 each issue to investigate. Meanwhile as I now find my car unsafe to drive for lack of accelerating and braking abilities, and the insurance company is investigating. Two accidents in 6 months, and at least the latter I think could be due to a potential faulty part - as every mechanic I have reached out to said if it is the brake rod, and in the accidents I had, it should not have bent (if that ends up being the root cause). Let alone the accelerator issues.
1. Car was hard to stop when braking for a light 2. Car accelerated on is own when entering driveway had to slam on brakes 3. Checked around the pedals for any thing that may have caused this. Nothing was found so I took the car for a test drive. And when I slowed on my street prior to turning into my driveway the car took off on it's own again. I had to put the car in neutral to stop it. When I did the engine redlined by itself.

The anti-lock braking system module (abs) has burned out and is happening so often, infinity is unable to supply the demand and there is a nationwide back order for the part. After waiting 2 weeks for the part beginning 10/31/13, my mechanic disconnected the abs module, so that I can have transportation because he does not know when the part will be available. I no longer have use of abs and this also keeps vehicle dynamic control from functioning. As of today's date 12/09/13, I am still waiting for the part and driving without the use of safety features during this wet winter months. It may be worth noting that the low end of this repair at an independent shop is $1400 and high end $2100. A cost many people may not be able afford leading to more disconnected anti-lock braking systems on the road.
I'm the second owner this particular vehicle, and although I did not notice the problem sooner, the 3rd light on my 2004 G35 does not work (my car does not have the spoiler). What I did was purchase a used 3rd light from a salvage yard. . . . And it did work (briefly), now it's not working. . . . . So I'm back to square one. I thought that it was unusual, so I googled the issue and much to surprise came up with many hits of owners of this vehicle with the same issue. . . . . . . Since reading the issue others have experienced with the 3rd light not functioning I have noticed this particular vehicles 3rd light issue on other G35 on the road, more than likely the owners have not noticed the light not operating. . . . . . . . . The whole purpose of the 3rd light is to be seen by others driving behind you. . . . . . . It's an accident waiting to happen, I hope the NHTSA and Infiniti takes steps to correct this problem.
Third brake led lamp stops working and randomly comes back on. This also happens in almost every other G35 sedan I have seen to date.
Coming to a stop on an interstate exit ramp, the car slowed to about 25mph with normal braking at which time the brake stopped slowing the car. I pressed the petal on to the floor and the antilock brake mechanism stopped the car in about 150 feet. Just before stopping, the car lurched forwards a few times. I had not been repeatedly braking on the interstate: a cause of brake fluid boiling which has been offered as an explanation of this failure in other incidents with this and the 350z.
I had come to a complete stop at a crosswalk. My foot was firmly on the brake and the automatic transmission in drive. Suddenly the car jumped forward in small increments with a sound indicating that the ant-lock brakes were releasing and applying the brakes in rapid succession. I stood on the brakes and the car stopped only to repeat the problem once more while I was standing on the brakes. In all the car moved forward about a foot. There was a pedestrian in the crosswalk directly in front of my car at the time and a second round of this problem would have caused the car to hit the pedestrian.
2004 Infiniti G35x. Consumer states problem with vehicle brakes the consumer also stated the hood hinge was corroded, there were evop issues, and a fuel valve leak which caused difficulty in not being able to re-fuel the vehicle to its capacity.
The contact owns a 2003 Infiniti G35. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the emergency brake released and the vehicle rolled away until crashing into another vehicle. There were no injuries. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was not contacted but the vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 124,000 and the current mileage was 125,000.
2008 Infiniti G35 sedan, bought new from dealer July 2008, had warped brake rotors about a year ago, took to dealer, they replaced a part that had a recall or had a warranty on, that they said had more air spaces in it to allow the metal to cool better, and ground down the rotors. I have warped rotors again at only 46,000 miles. I believe the metal in the stock rotors is faulty or bad engineering design. Please inspect. I should not have warped rotors for a second time at only 46,000 miles and I use my transmission a lot to slow down rather than the brakes after the first warping occurred. I see another complaint on this site by a different owner of the same make and model car with the same complaint of warped rotors at low mileage.

I bought this car used, should have checked this site first. I now have to replace my brakes once a year because they wear prematurely. That is a $1000 job. Only have has the car for 3 years. Last year in 09, the cd player stopped working with 6 cd's stuck in the changer, I had nationwide infinity look into this, when they said it would be $1400 to fix, but my year car has these problems. So I said forget it, I do not have this kind of money sitting around. Then couple months after that, the radio would shut off by it self a couple times a week and come right back on. Then just the other day, being June 5th 2010 my radio would not come on at all and I now have no control over my air condition. It is stuck on 70 full blast. Now wasting a ton of gas also. I called nationwide to make an appt, when I discussed the issue, the service advisor then said " let me guess, 2003 G35" I said OH, so you know this issue, he said yes we see it all the time, your looking at !600 to fix! I then call infinity headquarter to file a complaint to have them take care of the issue due to it being a known issue with no recall. Im a single mom, so not have this money laying around. I think its a huge safety issue due to me not having any control over the front or rear defrosters! I am contacting all local news stations to get some help!.
Consumer has experienced car a few events since early '10 of vehicle being reluctant to stop, even when brakes were applied down to the floor. The last event occurred today (9/18/11). Today's event was more scary than the previous events, in that the car accelerated far ahead of our destination and could have possibly hit another driver, if a driver had been present. The brakes are functioning properly and are not worn. At this point, I am gravely concerned about this malfunction, and it feels like I am at great risk of having an unavoidable accident.
I was driving my 2008 Infiniti G35 through a heavy rainstorm at 11:30 am, going east on glade rd. , boca raton, FL. , in the middle lane at approximately 35 mph, when a car in the left lane of this three lane rd. , cut me off. I hit the brakes hard and my brakes completely locked up, putting me into a skid onto the right swale and my car, skidding violently, smashed into a tree. Although the car hit the tree almost head-on, only the left front side air bag went off. The steering wheel bag never went off. I was wearing my seat belt, and the my chest was smashed against the air bag straps and left me with severe welts and terrible pain for over two months. My right tibia and fibula were broken and displaced. Two surgeries and three months in a cast and bed-ridden, I am finally doing much better. I notified Nissan that the front air-bag and the anti-lock braking system never activated. They did a cursory investigation and said nothing went wrong. I know that's not true. I never once felt any pulsing from the brakes after my application, and the non-working steering wheel air bag speaks for itself.
When emergency braking, my vehicle's abs system dips hard and pulls heavily to the front right of the vehicle, causing a harsh right side pull to the steering wheel. Has occurred at speeds between 60-65 mph and 30-35 mph, dry and wet roads, highway and surface streets. Tires were nearly new and properly inflated during one occurrence. Have reported to the dealership multiple times but refuse to investigate further as they are unable to "duplicate" the issue. Dealership claims vehicle is "too sophisticated" to do any further inspection.
The contact owns a 2008 Infiniti G35x. The contact was driving 35 mph when a noise was heard from the front driver side brakes. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who informed him that the backing plates were rubbing together. The manufacturer was notified of the failure who advised that there were no recalls for the vehicle and offered no further assistance. The failure mileage was 66,000.
I purchased a 2008 Infiniti G35 sedan. It is the journey package with the optional 18-inch wheels. My rotors are not safe. I only have 28,000 miles on my car and my rotors have already warped. I have read on many forums that this is a common issue with Infiniti G35s and I believe the government should look into this. I am paying a premium for this car and should not have rotors warping on me before the warranty is up. Also, Infiniti does not cover the charges with warping rotors. This is putting great stress on me because I have to pay for something that could have been replaced for free.
The brakes on this vehicle are horrible. I continue to have to have them checked but to no avail. The vehicle only has 48,000 miles.
I have had multiple issues with my car. The most severe have been a replacement bolt on the axle that made a clicking sound when I put it in reverse. That took place within 2 months of my owning the car. The other has been my brakes. They were making squealing sounds when they were depressed, at 4500 miles. I kept complaining to the dealership and they finally realized that there was an issue with the front brakes. It was fixed at 9,000 miles. The squealing subsided somewhat, but there has always been a sound. I took my car in again recently for routine maintenance and complained that the sound has still not gone away. They said there was dust on the brakes, and that once it was cleaned up, it should be fine. They said my back brakes were now an issue. Mysteriously, after picking up my car, the squealing was worse and was now coming from the back of the car. The service rep said that I need to fix them within the 1500 miles. I was not having any issues with back brakes up until this point. I truly believe that the service tech tampered did something to them. Finally, my sunroof starting giving out and requires a new motor. This all happened within 2 years with barely 14,000 miles!.
The contact owns a 2004 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that he replaced the front discs brakes and rotors at 9,000 miles, 14,000 miles and again at 26,000 miles. The dealer and manufacturer were notified of the frequent need to replace the parts but offered no explanation or assistance. The failure mileage was 9,000 and the current mileage was 26,120.
2003 Infiniti G35 with a recall on the engine. Customer states that the dealer told her that her car was not included in the recall even though the symptoms were the same. Dealer refused to fix it unless she paid 11,000 dollars to fix it. The dealer informed the consumer the engine shut down because the piston broke causing it to hit the engine which put a hole in the engine block. The consumer had a used engine put in the vehicle on July 24, 2006 but, one year later the engine failed. The consumer stated she has had numerous problems with the brakes, the driver's seat made a constant noise, the 6 cd changer malfunctioned and ceased to operate and the window motor was replaced.
The contact owns a 2006 infinity G35 coupe. While driving 70 mph the wheel started to shake when the brakes were depressed, this made it hard to control the steering. The problem occurred intermittently. The failure mileage was 90 and the current mileage was 6,000. The VIN was unavailable.
