Adaptive steering clicks and looses control. Steering wheel jerks back when self aligning. There was a recall for this I believe in June 2016. For 2015 infinity Q50’s but my VIN says that it wasn’t recalled but is the exact description of what is happening.
Air bag light suddenly said “passenger airbag off”. Don’t have to brake to switch gears. Steering at times feels a bit off.
Transmission, transmission valve body, speed sensors. After transmission shifting issues while traveling the interstate I had to have the car towed to the dealership. After the multi point inspection was performed serveral recommended itmes related to the ongoing performance and safety of the vehicle listed below: transmission $10,446. 65 transmission valve body $3693. 92 the diagnostic code p0720. Attached is the service bulleting stating they know this will happen and when it does here's how to fix it. Yet they have never recalled the defective transmission. When I contact Infiniti consumer affairs they simply say that they cannot help me because the vehicle does not have warranty. If I had warranty then I would not be reaching out to them for assistance in replacing the transmission.
Vehicle is tramaling or wandering at 50+ mph speeds. Making it dangerously difficult to keep between the lines without constant steering corrections. I have had car aligned and changed the tires. Still issue persists. There are several post online about this issue with the Infiniti q60 and Q50 models.

Passenger seat light remain on for 4 months the went away. Then the airbag light came on. Took it to Infiniti of tampa where they supposedly done diagnostics. They cause additional lights to appear on my dashboard to include the steering hard to turn. When I purchased the vehicle in October 2016 I was unaware of any recalls. I found out about a month ago there approximately four recalls for 2016 Infiniti Q50.

Sitting in parking lot when a malfunction warning popped up with the dashboard lit up. Steering wheel, traction control, front and rear collision control and chassis system control system error. Had car towed to the dealership to find out it was dast steering control units. Eps/dast 3 dtc c13d5-00 control module, chassis control dtc c1b90-00 dast system, dast 1 dtc c13e9-00 booting angle processing, dast 1 dtc c13eb-00 booting angle processing, dast 2 dtc c13eb-00 booting angle processing.
The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti Q50. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, he became aware that the electronic power steering was not functioning properly, requiring increased effort to maneuver the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 16v430000 (steering); the VIN was included, but the dealer refused to complete the repair because the contact declined a diagnostic evaluation. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 154,000.
I was driving down the highway and my car started to shut down and started to make a knocking sound inside the engine bay, putting at risk other drivers, so I turned on my hazards and pulled to the shoulder of the road, the car wouldn’t turn on so I called a tow truck. Took the car to dealer and stated engine is seized.

Car pulled to the left unexpectedly and constantly for like 5 mins staright then it corrected it self.
Power steering failed while driving in parking lot looking for parking spot. Unable to turn wheel without hitting parked car. I was able to drive to end of the lot where there were less cars. Noticed that I was able to turn wheel so long as didn’t step on brakes. The steering wheel was also off alignment. This happed on a Saturday evening, next day car was fine all the warning were off. Spoke to service person explained what happened. He basically said if the car is running fine they can check it out but may not find the problem. Since the car was running fine until it wasn’t. Car was parked in garage turned on the car all warning lights go on. Made appointment for 4/3/24 drove car to dealership which is not to far. The warning lights still on and no power steering. Analysis many dtc codes found related to this system:b2512 4was sig: c1b9000 dast system: c1138 4was circuit & c1a04 abs/tcs/vdc circ. Correction recommended to perform dast calibration first before performing further diagnosis. Cost $539. 15 . They also did multi-point inspection items requiring immediate attention engine air filter cost $94. 99 grand total $641. 64 out of pocket. 4/3/24 picked up car. On that evening drove the car and as I’m pulling up on drive way power steering goes out again. I managed to get the car in garage. Once I’m in push button to close garage doesn’t work and car dies no power at all. Able to get car started by playing with battery cables. On dealership notes car was there 30 miles ago. Now they say wrong battery size. That battery was replaced by them on 2/28/22. Also the battery just past multi-point 2 days ago. New battery cost $232. 78 now out of pocket $874. 42. This is now 4/10/24. Drove that evening and front splash guard fall off had to tie wrap to hold whatever pieces are left. Took it to dealership they took no responsibility. I will need to replace it. I have all my receipts from them they are the only ones who have worked on my vehicle.
Car starts up and a little like the battery is having issues with loss of power. The dash board then shows multiple warning lights such as a batter, steering, and stability control. I turn the car back off and then back on and the steering light stayed on. The steering wheel is stuck but the car still moves forward and backwards with very stiff steering. In the past I had the issue checked by getting the steering wheel fluid exchanged and had multiple alignments since . The car would show signs of stiff steering when parking it will get wonky and like won’t move and bumping into a curb with the rear wheels will trigger it every once in a while. The steering has been an ongoing issue for the last year and I can’t figure out what it is but I did find out by google searching that there was a recall on other models like mine with powering steering assist .
I was driving and tried to turn but had lost complete control of the steering and hit the curb infront. Luckily I was only going 5-10 mph so the impact was not terrible. My biggest concern is a lot of times my mother drives that car who is permanently disabled in one hand so I can only fear what might happen if she was the one driving the car.
The backup camera (parking assist camera) image is flipped left/right. The backup video display shows the rear view of the vehicle and super imposes the direction of travel with turn based on the position of the steering wheel. With image flipped left/right reversing the vehicle is counter intuitive and does not match the super imposed directional guidelines. When this malfunction occurred I nearly crashed into a parked car while trying to reverse into a parking spot. There is no indication of the malfunction. Driver must realize the image is flipped and turn in the opposite direction. This is definitely a safety risk.
On 12/11/21 my vehicle had limited turning (left or right) capability. The vehicle has < than 23k miles, was purchased at bommarito Infiniti, and has been serviced at the same dealership since I purchased it. I bought the vehicle new and drove it over the last 5 years as a back-up vehicle to a chevy cruze (w/greater than 180k miles on it and no faulty parts). I did not purchase the extended warranty because it was supposedly a reliable vehicle, based on my prior history/ownership of a 2006 g50. I made timely payments for 5 years, performed all of the required maintenance, and took my car in for all of the Infiniti “recalls. ” after the ability to turn failed, I took the vehicle to bommarito Infiniti for a diagnostic and routine oil change. The steering diagnostic found 3 leaks on the steering rack and pinion. , (no oil was visible on the ground). I did not have any warning lights for low steering fluid or service required indicators, but the dealership stated the power steering fluid was low. I contacted Infiniti consumer affairs department for review of the faulty part, considering that I had less than 23k miles on the vehicle. Stewart at Infiniti consumer affairs stated that the claim for repair assistance was denied due to the vehicle being out of warranty and the "lack of service history" with bommarito Infiniti. When I questioned him about defining/explaining what he meant by the lack of history, he could not explain his statement. He placed me on hold, and then returned only to reiterate his previous statement. I then informed him and verified with the dealership that I did not deny any required repair or service that was recommended/required. The dealership also stated that the rack and pinion that was installed on my Q50 had to be a faulty part because this is the 1st time that a 2016 Q50 with less than 36k miles has ever needed this part replaced. This is a safety issue and a crash waiting to happen!.
The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti Q50. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the chassis control system warning message was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 16v430000 (steering) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
My steering wheel heater used to work normally, meaning an acceptable temperature, and divided evenly through my steering wheel. It is now only getting super hot, to where I cannot even hold it, on the bottom left part of the steering wheel. The rest of the steering wheel is cool.
1. The electric power assist system or das malfunctioned preventing the car to steer correctly. When pulling out of side street onto the main boulevard, the car would not steer straight, there was no response from the steering wheel input and the vehicle crashed into a parked car parked on the side of the road 2. The safety of the driver and others were put at risk because the car crashed. 3. The problem has not be confirmed by the dealer our insurance company stated they may or may not investigate the problem. 4. Our insurance company has photos of the accident and damaged vehicle but has not inspected the car components for possible failure. 5. No warning light or messages were displayed to the best of my knowledge prior to the crash. 6. There was a safety recall # 16v430000 for this model and model year but our VIN indicates that there is not an outstanding recall currently for the car.
Engine has rough idle while in park. Even after the following maintenance was done. Replacing spark plugs, engine software update, coolant flush, power steering flush, fuel system clean, new mass air flow sensors both sides, serpentine belt, all new gaskets on top part of engine, valve cover, intake manifold, spark plug tube seals. Flushed rear and rear diff and transmission. Steering is heavy to turn. The colder it is outside the worse the engine shakes. Throttle response is delayed at times. Transmission shifts hard the worse the engine shakes. Colder it is the slower the windows roll up and down along with the wipers. Engine drops rpm when turning wheel while in park. When driving engine drops about 100 - 200 rpm then keeps going back up under acceleration but causes transmission to shift hard. This problem causes the output shaft seal to break and rear wheel speed sensors were replaced. After a sharp turn car hesitates to accelerate even if hard on the gas. Extreme cold temps outside make the engine almost sound as if something inside engine internals is not right. Hot and humid weather makes it run the best. No check engine light problem started at 90,000 miles now im at 126,000 miles and still no fix and no check engine light. Loss of engine power. Even going up the smallest hill incline maybe a couple feet over a distance of maybe 3 blocks engine downshifts to 5th gear just to maintain 70mph even though I can be going 50mph in 7th gear. Car jolts forward when coming to a stop as if the output shaft is still spinning at a different speed than the engine. Can cause an accident if not fixed. Other Infiniti cars seem to have the same problem. Even the g37.
The chassis control module error light just come on . . . . Also the gps and radio there is no sound and wont tune in the in touch not working.
Our front right bumper was just slightly damaged when back out of our garage. It was very mild cosmetic damage that occurred at only a speed of perhaps 5 mph. Original body work estimates came in at $2,000 only to spiral out of control with the steering modules being replaced them steering rack before the car was ultimately totaled as the steering programming was still off. Upon research we found out that this particular model was plagued with electronic steering issues which appeared to be addressed under multiple recalls. The insurance company stated that they have videos of the steering wheel going crazy back and forth wildly after the modules were replaced. I am extremely concerned that such an insignificant bump could not only result in totaling a vehicle but could jeopardize a driver's safety with the steering issues.
When starting up from being parked the wheels steer the car to the right while I have to pull the steering wheel to the left to keep the car driving straight. The moment I remove the pressure from pulling the wheel left the car takes an immediate right turn. This is not a front end alignment issue as the problem will correct itself. It has taken as short as a couple of miles or as long as a few short trips for it to correct itself. It has happened first thing in the morning, in the afternoon and evening. This safety issue started when the outside temperature was still warm. When the steering does correct itself I can feel the steering wheel being pulled to the right and then the car drives straight again without me applying pulling pressure one way or the other.

It seem as the chassis control system continues to fail even after I had the entire system replaced at austin Infiniti. It seem as it is electrical that doesn't occur all the time but occurs randomly even while driving. It make the steering lock up after a stiff pull at random times then cause all the other system to act up such as the collision or lane departure. It states error code chassis control system and Infiniti each time after taking it back for a warranty job they decline after having footage that I take when the error occurs with my steering wheel in a different angle for forward driving. This is why I am writing this if it can resolve others who have ran into this occurrences when austin Infiniti has told me they have ran into this before for another customer but luckily they car was under the manufacturer warranty and mine carshield. Will be dropping off again in March for my appointment since it seem to be coming on more often hoping the warranty company can inspect the error this time to repair it.
When I bought my 2014 Infiniti Q50 I put it on the road and then I started receiving recalls. I also had several lights on. I brought it back to dealership they did something like clearing the lights without even looking at it. 45 days after I bought this vehicle I was in a serious motor vehicle accident. I almost died and I lost my spleen. One of the airbags didn't deploy which was the reasoning for losing my spleen. I believe my steering locked up and ended up hitting guardrail. Total loss. I lost 4,000 because of this accident never mind I all most lost my life!!! this accident happened on the highway.
The contact owns a 2016 Infiniti Q50. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph, the steering wheel turned to the left independently, causing the contact to lose control of the vehicle. The contact regained control of the vehicle prior to the engine failure warning light being illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Infiniti of ontario located at 2192 inland empire blvd, ontario, CA 91764, to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the circuit board for the steering system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 40,694.
While driving my vehicle today approximately at 4:20 pm mst, my steering and braking system stopped working while I was driving and as I was approaching an intersection located here in colorado springs, CO. This scared me and I thought I was about to die. Is there a recall on the 2014 Infiniti Q50 hybrid steering and braking system? if so, what do I do about these issues? so many lives are at danger with this vehicle and its steering and brake systems. This must be fixed immediately! I'm in law enforcement and this could be catastrophic for Infiniti and Nissan.
Loss of steering control after start of car, steering pulls hard to one side. Has happened at least 4 times. It is my understanding that other q 50 have been recalled for this intermittent steering problem. I do have video of the last occurrence, but it exceeds 5mb.
I had 2 right side headlights blown out the led and Infiniti says this never happens but it happen to me 2 times on the same exact side and the lights inside my car flecker and burn out.
This car has been drifting to the right since bought causing premature tire wear which has now been 5 sets of tires in 36k miles. The front right tire always seems to blow out. Alignment has always been knocked out inwithin weeks. Several independent shops point to defective bushings while infinit doesn't see the issue. This same issue was recalled for the 2016 models. Ive replaced the knuckle and lower control arm and now stays aligned but seems to causing premature tire wear and blowing the right front tire. I cant get more than 10k miles out of a set of tires and constant fighting with the car drifting to the right. I have several more documents.
100% manufacturer defective, das, recall performed in 2016 at the herbs chambers prior us purchasing the vehicle in April 2017. Car broke down in highway @ 65 mph.
The chasis control system error warning iis on also key system error is on alsso the radio works but no sound from speakers.
My vehicle has an optional tech package that provides forward braking, lane departure and backup braking. Apparently when I hit a pothole, these safety features occasionally turn off. Iv'e had these car for 4 1/2 years and became aware of this problem about 6 months ago. I'm have become dependent on these safety enhancements and no-longer feel comfortable when driving. I have complained the dealership since November 19 and still have not received a positive response all I want is to have a working safety system. .
While driving, the car lost all power, steering and breaking capabilities. All of the dash warning lights lit up. Infinity replaced the abs system.
There are time when I go to turn my steering wheel I am giving more force to turn the car and my car shows no mechanical damage or anything but when I turn the wheel it stiffens up a lot and it is not smooth to turn especially when I am making turns I see this and it is when I'm in the city mostly.
