1 Brake Sensor problem of the 2022 Jeep Cherokee

Failure Date: 05/07/2023

Your website has some trouble & won't accept my jpg files. First time to see this. I use cruise control all the time on 3 vehicles I own. But, this Jeep has a strange problem that is not safe. Almost all vehicles I have driven with cruise controls will exceed set speed by 1~3mph while going down a steep hill. But my Jeep will exceed by 5~7mph on steep hills. I have turned off cruise control when it didn't control speed and drove manually for a while, then used cruise control again. If I set at 70mph, often speed will increase to 75~77mph going downhill; then brakes will engage strongly (hard braking) and Jeep will quickly go below 70 mph. Jeep will brake hard, go to or below 70mph then speed up some then brake hard again! two-three times I had 18 wheelers behind me going down steep hill when I was using cruise control, Jeep quickly reached 75~77mph, then suddenly brakes clamped down with a lot of force and big trucks had to hit their brakes hard and were not far from my rear bumper. I do watch in rear view mirror often when driving. There are a lot of hills in my area of east texas. I also watch out for smaller vehicles also when I use cruise control, especially going downhill. I took Jeep to a dealer Jan. 24, 2024 in palestine, TX 75801 to check excessive carbon soot in tailpipes, coming out of muffler. And, I told service mgr. About bad cruise control braking. They did nothing. Now, see elliott Jeep dealer service invoice 66085. Dealer wasn't interested in looking a cruise control problem. He checked only excessive soot problem and maybe did a multipoint inspection. Also, this Jeep couldn't possible pass an epa emissions control. I think there are some real defects in main control module!!!! defective speed or cruise control. Defective air/fuel sensor control making a lot of soot. Display defective for gasoline & temperature guages in display. In 2023, I told different dealer about cruise control trouble and he didn't check anything, either.

2 Brake Sensor problem of the 2018 Jeep Cherokee

Failure Date: 07/03/2019

I was completing a turn when the vehicle lost all power and shut completely off causing me to loose control of the vehicle and hit a curb. Vehicle was then towed to dealership where I was advised this happened due to a safety feature of my car . When the car is low on oil when you turn it throws off the oil pressure sensor so the engine doesn't blow up . My last oil change was in Feb my car is completely out of oil and no check oil light appeared .

3 Brake Sensor problem of the 2019 Jeep Cherokee

Failure Date: 05/23/2019

On 5/23/2019 my wife was exiting a parking lot driving forward in our 2019 Jeep Cherokee. She turned right into the driveway and then steered right toward the center lane. There were no cars around her. Suddenly the dash lit up in red brake, and the parking brake engaged. She stopped momentarily, trying to figure out what had just happened. At this point the light went out and the parking brake released. She drove home without incident. The doors were not ajar. She was not backing up. Our Jeep does not have the forward sensors, just the rear sensors. We do have the parking brake set (u-connect) to auto engage when shifted into park. We are concerned this could happen on the highway at 65 mph. I'm bringing it to the dealer in the morning.

4 Brake Sensor problem of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee

Failure Date: 07/15/2015

A list of the current life threatening and non life threatening conditions I have encountered with my Jeep Cherokee trailhawk. The most serious being a persistent problem in relation to the transmission shifting and accelerating causing the car to jerk and in some cases whiplash. As an electrical engineer I have seen the electronic repairs made to the vehicle and yet there is still persistent mechanical problems with this transmission. I have encountered lint mode were the car will not move from gears 1, 2, or 3 on 65mph highway which I believe has caused irreversible damage to the car. The issue occurred in July on route 202 in a cattle shoot created by summer time road work I had to continue to drive the vehicle nearly 2 miles until I was able to pull over and asses the issue. Below is a list of current and past problems: -transmission stopped on a 65mph highway (new software loaded still a problem) -shifter locked in drive couldn't shift to neutral took 4 hours to shut car off at dealership (entire shifter replaced) - navigation (replaced two times, on my third nav system) - window motor mechanism (replaced) - moonroof shade and assembly (being replaced this week) -faulty wiring of cigarette lighter causing fuse to blow due to electrical short (rewired and fuse replaced) -speaker (replaced) -waterproofing trim falling off (replaced) -rattling from bolts for seat-belts (attempted fix didn't work) -O2 sensor causing multiple engine starts (replaced) -front seat uneven (replaced) -recalls ranging from hacking to electrical shorts that have been noted to cause a serious electrical fire.

5 Brake Sensor problem of the 2015 Jeep Cherokee

Failure Date: 04/03/2015

4/3/15 transmission recall work completed. 4/25/15 car would not shift properly. Email of notification from Jeep at time light came on read: malfunction indicator light indicates your vehicle needs service, prolonged driving could cause damage to the engine control system. Car taken to local dealer 4/25/15-5/8/15 transmission replaced. 5/13/15-5/15/15 no power steering, abs and no 4 wheel drive available dashboard lights on. No email from Jeep stating lights on. Email from Jeep had been automatically sent at time engine light was activated. When service person was informed he said it was because battery had been disconnected for transmission work and I'd have to reload app. Service center states no history of dashboard lights on but did have history of a loss of communication. This is why the car had stopped email notification to me. The car no longer is communicating with it's programmed computerized parts ie; it's doing whatever it wants. 5/14/2015 contacted Jeep given case mngr rich contact number 1-800-763-8422 ext 40752, email rf1017@Chrysler. Com case#26976779. Rich informed me he would send case in for review. 5/19/15 abs and traction control dashboard lights on. Pictures taken of dashboard with lights on because of history of loss of communication indicated. Car no longer recording dashboard lights on and service department keeps telling me no light indicator on. 5/20/2015 sensor replaced. 5/20/2015 call to case mngr no answer or call back from casemngr. 5/22/2015 abs and traction control dashboard light on. Jeep emailed me at time of dashboard light on. I did not reload app as instructed. Car started communicating again on it's own. 5/22/2015 Jeep informed me no refund, no replacement. They want to continue to fix it. This car is not safe. Thank you nancy streich 269-569-5578 nanjerrn@comcast. Net.

The vehicle was in park and started. All of the vehicle warning displays turned on including the check engine. This vehicle is practically brand new and this should not happen. I also had similar problems with a 2011 model. Vehicle sensors are also giving erronous readings.
