Power Steering Failed Problems of Jeep Cherokee

I was driving very slowly, turning the corner of my street when power steering failed, light saying power steering needs servicing came on. I couldn't control the steering, hit the curb, it took out a chunk of the tire and bent the rim. I backed up and with great difficulty, drove car down street trying to get it in driveway.
