1 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2007 Jeep Commander

Failure Date: 01/04/2020

Upon starting the engine reads a high idle, drive the Jeep down the road and a red lightning bolt appears and then across the dash reads check gauges. At this point the coolant gauge quits working. If shut off and restarted the Jeep sometimes won't start and will say transmission overheating even when it's not. It will sound like the starter is stuck and keep trying to start until the key is removed. After about 20 minutes of it sitting it will now start and the gauges will work properly and no warning lights. Already replaced thermostat and temperature sensor.

Failure Date: 04/06/2017

All light flash off and on randomly sometimes leaving the gauges and ac not working then return and leave the eas and traction control light and check engine light on. Pulling the code reveal a u1403 and u1411 code. When bumps are hit or the ac is on the lights flash and sometime wiggling the ignition switch stops the flashing other times it is random and sometime more sporadic, when the vehicle is experiencing the problem the car ignition can be shut off and the restarted sometimes it stops the trouble. .

4 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2006 Jeep Commander

Failure Date: 06/11/2015

My airbags in my vehicle would shut off on there own then my lights started turning on and off as I drove. . Thats the start . . One day im driving home with my kids and my car stalls out in the middle of the road tryed everything wouldnt start but windows worked except front and lights but no power. I had it towed to Jeep and they insisted it was my battery. I go get my truck and as im driving all my lights come back on and all my gauges no longer worked, airbags no longer worked. They put it on the computer and p41 code came on which is my ignition switch recall from Chrysler. Jeep had me contact Chrysler and they said that part wont be available no time soon and they were going to put me in a rental . The next day Chrysler contacted Jeep and then Jeep said they have no idea its some electrical but they cant guarantee so I called the manager and told them its unacceptable I am without a car because Chrysler wont fix the recall its a safety issue and they told me they cant do anything.

5 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2006 Jeep Commander

Failure Date: 05/02/2015

As I was driving I had adjusted myself in my seat and my knee accidently hit the key which turned my vehicle off while driving 65mph with my 13 month old child in the backseat. My power steering went out and all gauges on the dashboard went out, it was hard to stop and pull the vehicle over and then turn the vehicle back on.

6 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2007 Jeep Commander

Failure Date: 03/11/2015

I was driving down the road and I noticed my back up assist lights flashing. Next thing I noticed was my rpm and mph gauges were moving together and bouncing between 0-30 mph. The turn signal on the car is intermittent while this is happening and the radio also is intermittent. This is happening at least once a day now. I've also had the vehicle shit off on me when coming to a stop. I'm not sure if this issue goes with the electrical issues that have popped up. I'm waiting for my part from the dealership for quite a while now.

7 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2006 Jeep Commander

Failure Date: 11/26/2014

While attempting to get on the highway the Jeep lost power at approximately 35mph from the on ramp on to the right lane of the freeway. All the lights shut off, all the gauges shut down, and the vehicle began to slow down. It lasted approximately 4-5 seconds, and after stepping on the accelerator, the Jeep re-engaged and was able to be driven to a safe destination. The Jeep is under recall p41 for ignition switch issues, which may or may not be causing the issues, but the parts are not available from Chrysler. The parts have not been manufactured and/or distributed. It is possible the vehicle has a bad control module. The recall for faulty control modules was issued sept. 21, 2014 but this make and model was not covered in that recall . . . Although it seems likely it is having similar issues.

8 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2007 Jeep Commander

Failure Date: 06/21/2014

This is the second time my vehicle has done this. The vehicle is working properly and then all of a sudden it will not start and I get multiple gauge notifications populate including check gauges, transmission over temp. This time it will not start at all, I have tried to start it every day multiple times and it will not start. The same messages are still populating, the battery is good, I have a brand new starter, there is fuel. The vehicle powers up, I can operate everything but the vehicle won't even try to turnover.

9 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2006 Jeep Commander

Failure Date: 02/26/2014

I purchased this vehicle 2/15/14 three weeks later while driving on highway the gauges just came on and kept flashing it continued for the duration of my drive. Once I got to work and put it in park and turn it off and restarted it nothing happened. So 8. 5 to 9 hrs later back on the highway it does it again this time just flashed 3 times. It was taking to a shop per finance company to which the mechanic kept for almost 2 weeks. The mechanic stated he could not find anything wrong with it. He needed to see it happen. So I took it back home the first week nothing happened. Second week nothing that third week it happened again this time while on highway on the way to work my speed dropped from 60 to 5 in less than a second. I pulled over and sat for 2 to 3 minutes an proceeded on with my cell phone ready to snap a picture if it happened again and low and be hold it does it again and this time it was continues until I turned off the vehicle once again it was taken to the shop with the proof he needed and again he stated he could not find anything wrong so he took it to Jeep Chrysler and had them reset everything and gave it back to me. For the next month nothing happend. But the following month once again the problem starts again. But this time it completely knocked out my radio. The finance company want help and I don't know what to do. Today is the 25th of July but two or three days ago there was a recall on 2006-2007 Jeep Commanders for faulty ignition switches. I really do not feel safe for me or my kids in this vehicle but noone seems to care. Not sure what to do about this problem but I truely hope you do.
