The consumer stated that there was a NHTSA engineering analysis ea05020 concerning the engine and engine cooling fan. The consumer's vehicle manifested the same problems as indicated in this analysis. The fan of the motor exploded, resulting in extensive damage to the radiator. The vehicle was towed to a dealership, where it is currently being repaired for this problem. (11/23/05) the steering was noisy and would grind on high idle, the vehicle would shake when braking due to the front disc pads wearing low and the front rotors and the pinion seal leaked.
Vehicle vibrated. Dealer stated that once the rotors get wet they cause the vehicle to vibrate.
Calipers, rotors, pads. This is at least the 3rd time I have had to have my brakes totally repaired since I purchased my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee larado new in 9/2001. I am a "highway" driver so I use my brakes very little. I have had warped, scored, blue rotors several times, glazed pads and sticking calipers. I am not the only person with this problem. Many, many others have listed the same problems with their similiar vehicles. My service department say "it is the nature of the beast". This is not a good reason for these failures. There has been no recall on this subject and I feel it is time that there is one. I have had several "near wrecks" while braking due to one or the other side "grabbing" or taking forever to stop. (not speeding) I want and need results! I have an extended warranty but that takes care of the calipers but not the rotors or pads that have been damaged by the calipers. Duh! does that sound right? help!!!!.
Like many other complaints I have just read, my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee vibrates when I apply the brakes, especially highway driving (fast deceleration).
