Tl- the contact owned a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving 35 mph, the brakes failed without warning and crashed into an electrical pole. The air bags failed to deploy. The vehicle was destroyed. A police report was filed. The contact's daughter sustained a broken rib, broken pelvis, left hand had three fractures, the back shoulder was sticking out and her spleen was bleeding that required and medical attention. The contact received a recall notification letter of NHTSA campaign number: 15v046000 (air bags). The contact had an appointment with the dealer to get the air bag replaced but the contact got into the crash before going to the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. 2 Brakes Failed problem

Failure Date: 06/03/2008

The contacts owns a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Ever since the vehicle was purchased, the contact has experienced brake failure. While driving at various speeds, the brake pedal will extend to the floor as if there were pressure loss. The contact must literally stand on the brake pedal in order to stop the vehicle. Also, the wiring on the instrument panel that controls the air conditioning fan has failed. The dealer stated that the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The failure mileage was unknown.
