The vehicle was destroyed. A police report was filed. The contact's daughter sustained a broken rib, broken pelvis, left hand had three fractures, the back shoulder was sticking out and her spleen was bleeding that required and medical attention. The contact received a recall notification letter of NHTSA campaign number: 15v046000 (air bags). The contact had an appointment with the dealer to get the air bag replaced but the contact got into the crash before going to the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contacts owns a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Ever since the vehicle was purchased, the contact has experienced brake failure. While driving at various speeds, the brake pedal will extend to the floor as if there were pressure loss. The contact must literally stand on the brake pedal in order to stop the vehicle.
