3 Alternator/generator/regulator problem

Failure Date: 11/13/2013

My car would not start and it is unknown as to the reason for why this is happening. The battery is fine, alternator and all tests are just fine. This is not the first time this has happened and this happens randomly with no reason (at hot or cold temps). The mechanics are unable to find a reason for this. There is no cranking when this happens but all lights both inside and out are working. Need answers!! as I can no longer be stranded in different locations.

5 Alternator/generator/regulator problem

Failure Date: 08/04/2010

I have had the same issues with my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo for many years. It seems to be an electrical problem, but no one can tell me for sure what the problem is. There are three major issues that seem to happen around the same time. 1. While slowing down and the engine is idling it has a tendency to stall. It stalls at many stop signs and red lights. Sometimes when I'm just idling the engine will fluxuate between 400 and 1000 rpm's and then it will stall. 2. While driving I will lose all electrical power. The lights will flash and the dash will ding and click. The tachometer and speedometer will go to 0 the engine will remain running while this happens. If the ignition is turned off and re-started the problem seem to vanish. 3. Out of nowhere the Jeep won't start. All I get is a clicking noise when I turn the ignition. The dash lights up and the lights work and the radio works. The battery tests out fine. I've had the battery, alternator, and started replaced but the issue remains. It will eventually start, but the problem return in a few days. I've had the Jeep into the dealership but they can't find anything wrong.
