My vehicle has in cold weather no ability to clear and defrost the interior cabin of the vehicle as described in the recent recall, issued by Jeep, my VIN number was not included as part of this problem is obviously related, and the condition described in your campaign number is an exact match for the condition I experience during the winter months. While driving in boston in heavy traffic, my vehicle fogged to the point where I couldn’t see where I could pull over or if I could pull over or the vehicle in front of me fogged to the point of visibility and every window I had to put my hazard lights on and stop in the middle of traffic. I reported this to Jeep directly, they attributed it to a design defect? the most recent recall issued by Jeep left my VIN number out. With respect to the issue with the headlights activating in auto mode. My vehicle does not have high beam headlights. When the high beams are activated there’s absolutely zero change in lighting conditions and the fog lights stay engaged. Stellaris failed once again to identify all the applicable VIN numbers. What else are they failing to include as there have been four major safety recalls with my make model and year Jeep that did not include my VIN number which is disconcerting to say the least. Especially given the most recent airbag recall in the possible lack of activation. In my opinion, they are limiting this recall by guessing what production dates apply and are ignoring the vehicles that were produced immediately after or during the pandemic, which had items such as rear differential swapped out to a mechanical differential because they didn’t have the stock electronic diff in stock at the factory when the vehicle was built. A reasonable and prudent person would assume that major issues such as these would’ve been missed or overlooked when there were parts shortages as result of the pandemic and supply chain issues and not when things returned to “normal”.

This car has been worked on twice with negative results, now the dealer has told me Jeep does not want to try to repair it until further investigation. It does not comeply with fmvss no. 108 recall repair 12b wich was performed twice with negative results. I think they are avoiding the lemon law by not trying to repair it a third time. No loaner or compensation offered.
Returned to dealer for recall 12b, f. C. A. Us recall number,problem not resolved,federal motor vehicle safety standard 108 59 4.
1) the valve body-electrical 2) my car stopped in the middle of the road the while driving with my kids. When I placed car in park it would not go back in drive, but the dash kept blinking that the car was in drive. The issue prevented me from turning the car off so I had to unplug the battery to ensure the battery wouldnt die. 3)the problem has been confirmed by a dealer 4) vehicle hasnt been inspected by police or insurance rep 5)no warnings or symptoms prior to the problem.

When vehicle is operated with the head lights in auto mode the operator is unable to activate the high beam head lights with the paddle. The operator has to switch the headlights to a manual mode and then may activate the bright lights. The vehicle is not equipped with auto high beams. Vehicle was return to dealer service department. Dealer contacted Chrysler / Jeep and said this is normal and no fix is available. This is the exact same issue that was presented to NHTSA with the 2021 Jeep cherokee l and a safety recall was issued to due it violating standards. Nhtsa campaign id 21v797000; date: oct. 14, 2021 seems unsafe.
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the taillights failed to illuminate until manually turned on. The failure occurred intermittently. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who could not determine the cause of the failure. The contact was informed to return the vehicle to the dealer if the failure occurred again. High beams are not activating when enabled from the steering column. Both automatic and manual switches for the vehicles high beams do not enable the lighting in front of the car. The odometer also does not signal the high beams are active in this scenario as well.

The high beam recall was performed at the dealer, and it did not repair the problem. This is a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The car was at the dealer a second time to try to repair it ,with no success. Now Jeep refuses to let the dealer work on it a third time. This recall is for the high beams not operating when set to auto. Safety recall no. 108 s9 4. Jeep is not honoring the warranty at the risk of my safety and in breach of contract. This car was worked on March 20,2024 and still no help from Jeep,NHTSA, ftc, or attorney general. Nice work folks! I first reported the problem on 1-15-24.
I am having the same head light issue they had a recall for the 2021 Grand Cherokee recall #21v797000. I keep my headlights in the auto position the only wat to turn the high beams is to reach around the steering wheel and put the light switch in the manual mode. Please help.
Vehicle lost power on multiple occasions where it could not be operated or jump started to get moving. Odometer blinking/blind spot indicators staying illuminated/rear back-up camera fault reading "system unavailable" brake pedal kicking back when trying to start the Jeep. Gear shifter moving when vehicle is dead. Dealer is working on vehicle again and I have been without it for a total of approximately 24 days since I purchased in November 2023.
Just purchased a new 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee altitude - vehicle is not equipped with automatic high beams. When the master lighting switch is set to the auto position, the high beam headlights will not activate unless the master lighting switch is first changed to the 'on" position. In 2021 there was a recall for this issue on Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo's based on these vehicles failing to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. " NHTSA campaign number: 21v797000. It is unsafe to be moving the light switch from auto to manual in order to turn the high beams on. This will cause issues not having the lights set on auto as it can be forgotten to turn the headlights back on auto so you aren't driving with the headlights off. Dealer explained this is how it works. There is obviously an ongoing problem being that there has been a recall issued previously for this exact problem.
The high beams do not work when the lights are in the "auto" position. When the lever is pushed forward to manually turn on the high beams, nothing happens but when it is pulled back the high beams will come on so long as it is being held back. The high beams will only work correctly when the lights are in the "on" position. I have had this Jeep at the dealership three times and they cannot diagnose the problem or find any error codes. This appears to be a problem with many 2023/2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee's according to online comments and this also appears to be a similar issue as the recall which was issued in 2021 for that model of Jeep Grand Cherokee (21v-797 / y66 recall - these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment).
Dealer said it should work but no error codes are presented. Dealer contacted Chrysler / Jeep and said this is normal and no fix is available. Service tech stated he can see multiple complaints of this in the service tech system. This is the exact same issue that was presented to NHTSA with the 2021 Jeep cherokee l and a safety recall was issued to do it violating standards. Nhtsa campaign id 21v797000; date: oct. 14, 2021.
Hi, I’ve noticed with this Jeep and the two newer cars before it would have my dash lit up when my headlights weren’t on. This is giving me and other drivers of these cars the false impression that my headlights must be on. So many folks are driving with either just fog lights or no lights at all because their dash is lit up. Before this technology your dash would be dim and that way you knew you needed to turn your headlights on. This is becoming so common I see 1-2 every day home from work. Before this new technology it was maybe 1 a year. Please research or ask around about this since there doesn’t seem to be regulation around it. Thanks very much! emily.

All three brake lights stayed illuminated during car operation regardless of brake pedal pressed. I was able to shift and start my car without pressing the brake putting my family and other pedestrians at risk of being run over if the car shifted out of park unexpectedly. Also no warning lights were on at all, so I drove on the road with my brake lights illuminated increasing risk for injury or death in a crash. It turns out the part is a hydraulic control unit. It was reading 120psi when the pedal wasn’t even pressed. This was replaced by an independent shop and fixed the issue. I found out that there was a recall done on 2011-2022 Jeep Grand Cherokees. This recall was “equipment safety recall 21a NHTSA 23e-019”. This recall calls out this exact problem for our exact model and the exact part replaced. My vehicle did not qualify for this recall for some reason which does not make sense because of the following information. The julian date range for the failed part is 8166-9106. The part pulled out of my vehicle has a julian date of 8228. I am more than willing to provide photos and any documentation showing this repairs high cost and that it was done. There needs to be another recall with these cars to include mine and many others as this issue could cause death of unsuspecting people around the vehicle. It’s ridiculous that my vehicle did not qualify for this recall when I have an obviously failed part that fca knows about but refuses to fix or reimburse me for. Please investigate this and enact a recall to fix a problem that was bad enough to be recalled once for another batch of cars. There are other cars out there that could cause death or serious injury.
The contact rented a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, he became aware that the running taillights were not functioning. After restarting the vehicle, it returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA campaign number 22v544000 (exterior lighting), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.

While my wife was driving at night at 70mph, the left light selector knob near your left knee was set from the usual "auto" position to the "0" position. She was trying to figure how to make the dash and radio lights brighter at night while waiting for me thus turning this selector knob that did make the dash brighter and not affecting the outside vehicle lights. When I got into the car and she was driving, she could not activate the high beam lever to stay permanently "on" by pushing the level forward as usual. Pulling the lever back engaged the high beams as long as you pulled the lever back but could not active them permanently on by pushing the lever forward. As I was the passenger, I went into the uconnect panel menu to the "light section" and un-checked the "running lights" green check mark and all the lights went off while driving ! no head lights, no running lights, no rear lights, no outside vehicle lights while driving 70 miles per hour at pitch dark. Is this suppose to happen. I noticed in the owners manual that the canadian version did not have this "0" position. Bottom line: are you suppose to be able to turn off all exterior lights while driving at night completely off? should I have gotten a warning of "this function is not available while the vehicle is in motion"? my youtube video you can review: https://youtu. We brought this brand-new wagoneer on April 19th, 2023, since then we've been having a lot of issues with the vehicle, on August 7th, the electrical system failed we took it to the dealer, and they upgraded for us. Again, 3 weeks later while I was driving home from sam's club, the power steering light keeps flashing, I had trouble with the wheels I pulled to the side turned off the car for 5 minutes then light went off and I was able to drive again. Few days ago, on October 16th the vehicle electrical system shut off again, none of the buttons inside the vehicle works, the screen went off completely. I was too busy at work that day and did not have time to drop off the vehicle. On Wednesday October 18th after I pick up my daughter from school, the vehicle completely shut off at a gas station, I decided that vehicle was not safe to drive and decided to drop it to the dealer, as I was leaving the gas station nothing works inside the car and we hit a pole at the gas station which severely damaged the front bumper. We reached out to Jeep and was told to drop the car to the nearest Jeep dealer, and they will fix it. When we got there, they fixed only the electrical problems inside the car but refuse to fix the bumper which was cause by the forward collision avoidance system failure to engage due to the electrical problems. We pick up the car Saturday morning now the automatic break light is on, and the battery keep discharging. We want your firm to please help us as it not safe to drive that vehicle now. We are very afraid and wants Jeep to either replace the vehicle with another one or fully refund the purchase price.
Two days in a row - the Jeep didn't start in the morning. After I started it with a starter. The first day, the buttons on the steering wheel and the safety system control stopped working. Incorrectly shows the fuel level. The second day when the car started with the help of a starter, the dashboard stopped working (completely went out). The battery was checked - it is 100% working the dashboard didn't work during the day. Everything worked in the evening. The engine speed does not rise above 3000 revolutions per minute. Now it doesn't show the fuel level in the tank correctly. Very often, security systems such as lane control and proximity to another car fail.
Uconnect screen delaminating, changing setting, turning on/off heat, ac, temps, seat warmers, making calls, changing radio stations, all while driving. Unable to use any bluetooth features. All the jumping around on the screen and adjustments while driving is a huge distraction and safety concern for distracted driving. Dealers will not replace without charging at minimum $2000, and replacement option is ordering the same unit again, which will eventually have the exact same issues, so not a feasible long term fix.
The interior lights like dashboard/radio/a. C lights flicker while I'm driving. Its seems like some kind of short cause my the bulb on my right tail light seems to go out a lot more than any other light. When im parked and any door gets opened the dome lights flicker on and off even when I have it to be off when when the doors open. Also my headlights look like moist of some sort, dont see any cracks for that to happen. Due to the moisture or maybe not even related to it but the headlights dont even look like theyre on.

Manufacturer has not timely provided repair for tail light recall NHTSA incident number 22v-544 (Jeep recall z50).
I was driving and the battery light came on with a chime, within seconds the car smelled hot, the air conditioning went out, road hazard lights on dash indicating flat tire came on, windshield wipers were going on and off at different speeds and windows were opening and closing and then did not work at all. I got the car into the driveway as I was en route to our home. As I got car to the driveway I lost all power. I had the same thing happen in 2019 - report # 11255268. I do not know where to go to get the vehicle repaired or it the old recall will apply to this problem once again. Should I have the car towed to a dealer? I have my own private mechanic that addressed the problem in 2019. Please contact me ASAP. I don't know what the plan of action should be. Can I bring it to my own mechanic or does it need to go to a dealer. Please call or send me an e mail as soon as possible as I am without a vehicle. My number is 847-867-3921 or e mail me at kemahgal@aol. Com. Or sherlumpkins@gmail. Com. Or use both e mails. Thank you!.

There is an electrical failure that causes the blinkers to stop working, shortly after noticing this issue the vehicle will fail to start after travelling to my destination. This has happened more than twice and there are no recalls shown for the "limited" version of this vehicle. The standard edition seems to have confirmed recalls for the same issues that the limited version is experiencing. A mechanic has described an electrical short circuit. I encourage looking into the different models of the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee in which you'll definitely find the same safety issues described online by many others. These repairs need to be addressed and repaired by the manufacturer. Thank you!.
2 issue related to electrical/lights: 1) the touch screen has delaminated. This started a while ago (appx. 2020) and was only an aesthetic issue until very recently. Appx. 3 months ago (3/2023) the screen started to have a "ghost button" where different things were being pressed. For example, music changed, seat warmers turned on/off, etc. The most dangerous of these issues was a dark screen turning bright, which can be blinding at night. Definitely a safety issue since some of the essential controls of the car are done here. 2) the "auto" high beams have stopped working (appx. 5/2023). They turn on when held with the "flashing" method, but when put into auto (where they stay on) they do not work. Certainly a safety concern.
On Feb 14th 2023 I hit a deer. Got out of my Jeep to check damage. Had a broken headlamp overall seemed ok & repairable. Got back in the Jeep & continued driving. When I got home & parked in my garage I noticed an odd smell. Looked at the Jeep noticed a small fire. Backed the Jeep out of the garage & called the fire department. By the time the fire department arrived the entire front of the Jeep was on fire. My Jeep ended up being a total loss. What is going on with the lights that they would catch fire?.
Hi, I wish to submit a compliant as Jeep have still not issued a remedy for my 2021 vehicle. This is a new expensive vehicle that I'm unfortable driving my young children in so I'm suprised and dissapointed it is taking Jeep so long to resolve.
1) back up camera goes blank periodically. A few times the monitor would not come on at all. Frightening when I am using it for directions. 2) service system 4wd light has come on. Jeep dealer said it is a disconnect acetutor (?). I have appt to repair but am concerned it might not be safe to drive. 3) cannot figure out how to get high beams to automatically turn off when oncoming vehicle is approaching.
