We are on a recall notice (n45 NHTSA 13v-252) original equipment manufacturer (oem) trailer hitch. I received the safety recall notice from Chrysler yesterday 1/16/2014. I called ziegler Jeep, 208 w. Golf road, schaumburg illinois 60194 (847) 882-8400 to schedule an appointment to have the recall fixed. I talked to a man in service and he told me they have no parts to fix the recall and he does not know when they are going to come in and that I have to keep calling periodically to see if they have the repair parts. This is unsatisfactory. If I get in an accident because they have no parts, this is unacceptable. You sent the recall notice out. Why don't the dealers have the part to repair the car? I am making it clear, right now, that I have done my part. Now why can't Jeep do theirs and fix my car? why is it my job to keep calling back. Why isn't there a list being made by the dealer so he knows when he gets his parts, who gets the parts first? updated 02/03/14.
