My Jeep has a screen on the dashboard that controls the radio, navigation, and settings for the vehicle (I. E. The main "navigation screen"). All of the safety and advanced driver assistance systems are controlled through this screen and user interface. There is no other way to control/adjust these systems. There is a widespread issue with the late generation wk2 Jeep Grand Cherokees where the screen delaminates, rendering the entire screen and user interface non-functional. This results in a safety issue where multiple systems (including the adas) cannot be cannot be adjusted or used. I reached out to Jeep/Chrysler/stellantis for assistance in repairing/replacing the screen. The denied a claim to repair or replace the screen. I do not feel safe operating a vehicle where I cannot control or adjust critical operations of the car. I believe this widespread issue of screen delamination should be considered for a recall.

While driving lost the power brakes making stopping vehicle incredibly difficult having to apply excessive force to brake pedal and shift into neutral to stop. Vehicle could not be driven for service and needed to be towed. If my wife had been driving her car, she would not be able to stop as I (her husband) had to apply leg force as much as I could apply to get vehicle to slow down and had to shift to neutral to stop. We avoided being in an accident but it was very close. Vehicle has been towed for repair and currently do not know what is wrong with the vehicle but it is definitely a safety concern.

Issue has occurred at least 4 times: upon start, vehicle infotainment system appears in italian language (difficult to revert to english as menu controls are now in a foreign language). Forward collision off warning light illuminates on dash. Vehicle settings show all forward collision warning systems are on. Servicing dealership has not identified any diagnostic trouble codes with forward collision warning systems. Only way to reset system is dealer service via propriety manufacturer software. While driving on the freeway. Slowing down speed due to traffic, the vehicle through itself in park. With the warning messages stating service transmission. The vehicle would not go into any other gear besides park. Thankfully no collision was caused due to the abrupt halt. The vehicle was then towed for repairs to the dealer. It was determined that the valve body had to be replaced. The transmission now whines when accelerating. Then the forward collision illuminated along with airbag icon. Message stated service airbag system. Airbag system unavailable, safety hazard. Pending diagnosis of why airbag system has failed.
Forward collision warning not working not braking. When turning left or right I hear a loud scratching noise. L have had my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee at the dealership twice they can't find anything wrong, going back to the dealer tomorrow and try again. . . . . . . .
Foward collision warning light stays on no matter what. Vehicle turns off randomly at different times without warning. No power steering no power breaks nothing, vehicle just dies on the freeway, going through intersections.

On Jan 17, 2024, at 5:39 pm, I was driving the vehicle in electric save mode, where the temperature was around -19 degree on that day and I was heading for car wash, during that time, the vehicle in front of me applied a break. I was at safe distance I applied the break as the distance was close even the anti-breaking system did not work on hitting the vehicle at that time, and then it bummed three times. I was in shock at the vehicle's behavior and lost confidence in it. So the police office impounded the vehicle. To make the road safe. None of the air bags were deployed. I am having trouble picturing what would happen if this were on the freeway.
Engine shut down on highway while doing 55 mph. Almost was in a crash with multilabel cars. Second issue forward collision warning failed on a sunny morning. A semi rolled and dumped it load causing the cars in front of me to stop suddenly. The forward collision did nothing and did not apply my brakes. I missed the car in front of mine by a couple feet.
We brought this brand-new wagoneer on April 19th, 2023, since then we've been having a lot of issues with the vehicle, on August 7th, the electrical system failed we took it to the dealer, and they upgraded for us. Again, 3 weeks later while I was driving home from sam's club, the power steering light keeps flashing, I had trouble with the wheels I pulled to the side turned off the car for 5 minutes then light went off and I was able to drive again. Few days ago, on October 16th the vehicle electrical system shut off again, none of the buttons inside the vehicle works, the screen went off completely. I was too busy at work that day and did not have time to drop off the vehicle. On Wednesday October 18th after I pick up my daughter from school, the vehicle completely shut off at a gas station, I decided that vehicle was not safe to drive and decided to drop it to the dealer, as I was leaving the gas station nothing works inside the car and we hit a pole at the gas station which severely damaged the front bumper. We reached out to Jeep and was told to drop the car to the nearest Jeep dealer, and they will fix it. When we got there, they fixed only the electrical problems inside the car but refuse to fix the bumper which was cause by the forward collision avoidance system failure to engage due to the electrical problems. We pick up the car Saturday morning now the automatic break light is on, and the battery keep discharging. We want your firm to please help us as it not safe to drive that vehicle now. We are very afraid and wants Jeep to either replace the vehicle with another one or fully refund the purchase price.

On many occasions, warning lights come on for no reason. The dealer has "updated" software, but to no avail. . Collision warning, stop/start error, throttle body error and more. On the last event we were driving uphill, approx 25 mph, nobody in front of us, and the brakes slammed on with multiple errors showing. . The car then lurched forward with active breaking, stop start error, throttle body sensor all showing up and going away. This happened 4 times on the evening of Sep 15th. The errors and random and intermittent. . They replaced a "secondary" battery at one point, and that did nothing. They told us we needed to drive it for over 100 miles, to charge the battery, but it did not fix the stop/start or any other error. Now it is in the cerritos Dodge dealer and we have a formal complaint filed with chrystler. . The dealer states they can't find any problems. . During most of the events, the errors and warning lights do not stay on longer than a few seconds. I have one picture I was able to take when the warning lights stayed on a little longer.

My car just put on the emergency brakes/forward collision warning while I was driving down the road out of nowhere and slammed on the brakes.
Making left hand turn through 4-way intersection. Car opposite of us also making left hand turn. Our Grand Cherokee collision system thought the two vehicle were going to collide and locked the brakes in the middle of the intersection almost causing a 4 car accident. This is the second time this has happened since purchasing 06/03/23. Driver neck injury sustained. Seeking medical attention. Jeep is currently at the dealership where they are trying to reproduce/diagnose with no success. Multiple online articles found showing complaints of this exact issue proving it's not isolated to our vehicle. . Read more...
Since leasing my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe in July 2023, I’ve encountered severe and ongoing safety, quality, and performance issues that remain unresolved despite multiple service visits and direct contact with Chrysler customer care. The vehicle has consistently proven unreliable and unsafe, posing risks to my family and others. Key safety concerns include: trunk liftgate malfunction: the liftgate closes on its own, even with foot control disabled, failing to stop when obstructed, causing injuries to my [xxx] son and me. Proximity sensor failures: the sensors randomly lock the brakes with no obstacles and fail to warn of actual hazards. Steering wheel adjustment failure: the steering wheel became stuck in the highest position and couldn’t be readjusted. Gear shifting issues: in esave mode, gears fail to shift above 40 mph, and at times, the vehicle won’t shift out of park without multiple restarts. Defective environmental controls: the heater once failed during a 20°f drive, blowing only cold air for nearly two hours. Electronic malfunctions: random driver profile resets, faulty tire pressure sensors, unreliable remote start, bluetooth/auxiliary port failures, and phantom bluetooth devices. These issues put my family in direct harm and have not been resolved despite dealer inspections. Warning lights, alerts, and system failures occur intermittently, often without prior notice. I have extensive documentation, videos, and service records confirming these ongoing issues. Given the persistent safety hazards and failed repair attempts, I believe this vehicle is fundamentally unsafe and unfit for use. Despite nearly two months without the vehicle due to service visits, the problems persist, leaving me paying for an unsafe, unreliable car. I am seeking a resolution, including lease termination, to ensure my family’s safety. The repeated malfunctions, including injuries to my child, make this an urgent and unacceptable risk that cannot be ignored. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act.
While I was driving with my family on a highway, I deployed the drive assist function that controls the speed of the car and keeps car in lane, out of a sudden the car itself deployed a sudden quick brake without any immenant risk in fron of me ( there was no car in front of my car for at least more than half a mile) this caused a very close threat from being hit by the cars behind me amd all of my family members to be scared and worried and even my wife blamed me for slamming the brakes without any reason. I have scheduled an appointment with the dealer in the coming weeks to have it looked at and fix a recent recall as well as look into another weird noise/sounds that I was complaining to the dealer about in the past but was unable to fix or replicate.
The forward collision warning light comes on display cluster during start indicating it is turned off. Adaptive cruise control does not appear to be working because it doesn't give warning upon closing in on the vehicle in front of my vehicle and I have had to react by tapping brake to turn the cruise off. Parking collision warning works intermittently. These problems showed up after a software update done at dealership. When I took it in recently was told they could not find any problems.
Unknown, reared ended an 18 wheeler and the findings do not show that forward collision or steering operated to prevent the accident.
Jeep serviced for small evap leak. The next day after getting my Jeep back from dealer, when I started my Grand Cherokee trailhawk, it felt like I had gotten kicked in the rear end. The serv 4wd light comes on, fcw, stability control, rcw error lights come on. Acc not available. Took Jeep to dealer and had pcm cleared as code was coming up as inactive. Was told to drive it as usual and if error lights came back on to get it to dealer ASAP to get codes. After dealer checked for error codes, codes for transfer case problem popped up. The dealer stated they can’t tell what’s wrong until they diagnosis it. Appointment scheduled for diagnosis at end of July as mechanic is on vacation. Asked if Jeep was drivable to which I got mixed answers and told to be careful that Jeep may slip into 4wd and not drive right. Dealer stated Jeep is aware of problem but no recall at this point and stated they just wished Jeep would recall and fix the problem . The dealer stated they have encountered this issue in Jeeps more than any other vehicle.

Upon starting the vehicle, multiple dashboard lights came on alerting total loss of power steering system (eps). This also triggered lights related to forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assistance. Vehicle was nearly impossible to steer out of driveway.
Lane keeping assistance, lane departure warning, and forward collision warning-not working, it had message to service and exclamation in red.
Randomly, and without warning, the instruments, gauges, and displays will switch into a language I do not speak or understand (italian). Coinciding with the switch to italian language, cluster and radio display settings revert back to default settings, auto door locks and paddle shifter becomes inoperative (with no menu to enable), pedestrian emergency brake (peb) lamp or forward collision warning (fcw) lamp turns on with no way to disable, units of measurement including speed, temperature, etc. All change, and many other random settings change as well. ***this is clearly a dangerous situation because of all the functions and gauges that change, and the fact it is difficult if not impossible to recover from this due to the language of the setting menus, and the complexity of discovering and navigating through all these changes. I have taken it to the dealer 7 times, and they say there is nothing they can do and to wait for a possible software update, but none has come and it has been over two years. When this happens, even if one is able to wade through all the settings menus and change setting back, some items cannot be reset (like the fca off lamp). According to various Jeep owner forums, some dealers have been able to reset something and temporarily correct the issue, but they charge for this service, and the issue returns randomly again. . Upon starting vehicle, system reported collision, abs warning, traction control warning and wouldn't release automated parking brake. Vehicle was parked and there were no other vehicles in the vicinity while it was parked there.
Power steering unavailable service required messages pops up steering becomes very tough to turn.

June 30, 2022 purchase receipt of vehicle. Did not begin using active lane management until August, approximately 800 miles on odometer. These problems came up repeatedly. 1. Yellow warning light came electronic stability control 2. Yellow warning light came electronic stability control off 3. Yellow warning light came service forward collision 4. Yellow warning light came active lane management 5. Instrument display text = active lane management (alm) unavailable service required 6. Active lane management is now intermittent 7. Instrument display text = blind spot alert off 8. When driving early morning before sunrise and going under multiple underpasses the driver instrument cluster camera came on and showed a red spot warning of obstacle under the underpass – however no obstacle was there warning lights and alarms continue to happen for the above. Fort collins Jeep service technician claims the root problem is a crushed cable part number 68510744ae located in engine compartment. Dealer has my vehicle, waiting for new cable. I don't know if this is the root cause or if other things are wrong. . Read more...
I was driving down the road doing about 35 mph and suddenly I lost power steering and car jerked to the right. Power steering light, forward collision control, lane assistance, traction control and blind spot warning lights all came on, and a message appeared on my dashboard to have them all serviced. I took my Jeep to the dealership I purchased it at in April and they are inspecting the cause of the problem. This is the second time my lane assistance and forward collision have had issues, and the dealership was unable to find the cause the first time. This is first time for power steering, blindspot and traction control.
My vehicle has a recall with the parts not available, I crash without prior warning, and injured. I have contact fca us and other customer care numbers provided. My vehicle was repaired for the outer damage due to the collision, but my vehicle does not pass emission due to parts not being available. My car is drivable with very little power and can only drive a very low speed and locally. I have called about this matter for over a month and afraid that I will get in to another accident. I have not received information on when parts will be available. I had it checked and most probable other components require replacing due to the recall. This put me at risk and could have put my children at risk.
1. In normal driving condition suddenly apply the breakes full, putting yourself at risk if you have another vehicle that comes behind you, it will definitely hit you 2. On many occasions the anti-collision system is deactivated for no apparent reason, it is almost always in specific areas, I understand that it has to do with some WI-fi signal.
While traveling on a 2 lane road with no one around the fcw system went off and emergency braked the car. No cars were anywhere to be seen. If someone had been behind me, I don't think they could have stopped.
My electronic stability control, cruise control and traction control all went offline without any notice. Dealership can not figure out what to do. This is a huge issue in my opinion because of the inability to keep the car straight when hitting a pothole or any bumps in the road. The vehicle does not stay in a straight line. I have reported the problem to the dealership with no help. It hasn't caused a wreck yet, but I'm afraid I'm just postponing the inevitable.

I was leaving home from work and my car started perfectly fine and I drove like 50ft and the car completely shut down. I tried to jump it car to car but it was draining the other car batteries so I got a tow truck to come out and it jumped the car enough to get it in neutral and then it cut off. I changed the battery and alternator and it cuts on them after about 5-10 min it completely cuts off and won’t turn back on again. Lights on the dashboard pop up too before it cuts off.
Where to start. Display module glue is falling apart. Can no longer use my screen due to poor glue adhesion. All adas systems malfunctioning: fcw, lka, automatic emergency breaking, blind spot warning, acc, rear cross traffic warning systems do not work. Overall bad build quality and cannot use safety features.

The contact owns a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving approximately 5 mph, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that the forward collision warning off (fcw-off) light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to galeana Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram fiat (14375 s. Tamiami trail, fort myers, FL 33912) however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated upon investigation, found and associated the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 19v813000 (electrical system). The vehicle was repaired however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that no assistance would be provided. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000.
While I was parking near the beach, the car started accelerating and the breaks became unresponsive. As a result, the car crushed into the water and got submerged. I was able to leave through the window before it got flooded.
