Electrical issue with drivers side front blinker works when headlights are off but when headlights are turned on front blinker does not work. I’ve seen numerous complaints about the same issue with this vehicle amongst other electrical issues.

Not sure when locks stopped only drivers door locks with fob. Main problem drivers rear blinker-stop light not working replaced bulbs and nothing. Whole unit doesn't work.
The vehicles doors lock and unlock while the car is in motion. The lights have gone out while moving down the road. The wipers will intermittently go on and off . The lights on the dash and radio will dim while driving. The car shifts multiple times while moving.
The instrument cluster lights intermittently turn off, sometimes just a 1/4 of the rpm gauge, sometime both 1/4 of rpm and mph gauge, sometimes half of one, none of the other, sometimes 3/4 of both, sometimes all of mph and rpm gauge. It is totally random what will be illuminated and what won't be. Digital compass displays only dashes, no direction. Windows will roll down (power windows) but will not roll back up unless you turn off the Jeep and turn it back on.
Front windshield wipers automatically comes on once car starts. Wiper switch is in the off position. Turning signals has ceased. The totally integrated power module (tipm) is what defective, which causes a safety issue. Several Jeeps have this problem & the manufacturer needs to fix it; it's a defect.

Left rear taillight has gone out - replacing the bulb doesn't work. Looks like the housing/socket is partially melted. Also, left front parking light has gone out and changing the bulb has not resolved that either.

Tl the contact owns a 2005 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that both the low beams are inoperable however, both the high beams work. The vehicle was taken to dealer lithia Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram of corpus christi of the 4313 s staples st corpus christi, TX 78411 who diagnosed it but the diagnosis was unknown and the vehicle was not repaired due to dealer did not have the parts. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage mileage approximately 65,257. Jc.
The problems started with the new battery going dead for no reason until I installed security cameras on our house and saw the head lights would randomly turn on and off running the battery dead when the car was parked in the driveway. Then the windshield wipers would come on and not turn off and sometimes the car wouldn't start and when it did on these events it would shake acting like it was running out of gas.
Since I bought my Jeep almost one month ago I've already had to replace the rear hatch actuator tonight ( 4 weeks after replacing it) my cat is giving me same error message that the rear gate is open and alarm goes off by itself. Panic button doesn't turn it off so apparently it's not the alarm disgaging. I go out to car open and close make sure it's properly sealed and horn goes off again. This is completely ridiculous. Am I going to drop 400. 00 on my car once a month to be able to lock my car or have my dash lights in while I drive at night or is that to much to ask of Jeep?.
Bought the vehicle in va on 2/19/18, driving home to me and after 50 miles in rain the horn started going off every time the wipers moved. Pushed the horn button and the washer fluid started squirting out. Was able to pull over and had to shut the Jeep off then was able to continue. Stopped in CT for gas and got back on the interstate and the all lights turned off on the outside but all the dash warning lights turned on, wipers turned on, horn turned on, washer fluid sprayer went continuously and the motor would stop and start on its own, while moving! luckily, made it to the side of the road and turned the ignition off but all electrical components continued to go off randomly then the car would not restart. After turning the key on and off multiple times, moving the shifting lever, pulling fuses from the panel under the hood and putting them back in it started running again. This happened a second time about 100 miles later. Was able to get the car back to me but after I shut the Jeep off and started it back up the horn and wipers started going off without any switches being touched. Looked this issue up online and found that this is a very common problem for Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler vehicles made in and around this time. Had a recall been done I would have known this was a possible issue and been able to make a better choice of a car to buy for my daughter. There was a real danger of getting into an accident when all of the lights went out while driving in the rain on a busy interstate and then the motor turning off and on while in traffic.
The front lights shut off during the driving.

I was driving husband to work on county road and struck a deer, front of vehicle, and spun out of control. No other vehicle was involved.
Car won't start. None of the electrical works. Dealer tells me it's defective tipm. It's very expensive and dangerous. I have seen multiple people online complaining about the same problem and I don't understand why there has been no recall on this vehicle for this problem. We were stationary when the vehicle power stopped working thank god. But I seen online where some people had the tipm problem while driving which is very dangerous.
On occasion the right side of the speedometer will not light up. Contacted Chrysler about this issue for assistance but said that it was too old (the Jeep didn't leave the dealership lot till 2013 so 4 year old) took it in and they said the dash is failing. They also stated that the light are integrated in to the bored. The Jeep only has 40,000 miles on the odometer and should not be failing so early. This happens while moving or sitting. This is a safety issue due to not being able to see the speed and they came out and said the the dash is failing and needs to be replaced. I will add that a new cluster just for the part is $400.
My airbag light came on and will not go out. The dealer checked it and said I need a new occupant restraint module. It is my understanding that this is a common complaint for these cars. Is there a recall that covers this problem?.
Lights flicker when driving at night . Temporary loss of sight of the road . Major safety issue . I see mulitple complaints with no fixes , and no recall. Online shows different models other than Jeep Liberty with the same issue . I am not sure why they are not taking this seriously . Someone could die get seriously injured, also you could run over someone or animal when the blindness occurs it has last several minutes before the lights come back on . Try to pull over to the side of the road with complete blindness very scary . This happens every time I drive at night . The time intervals between the flickering varies. If nothing is done which I hope is not the case it has been documented in case I have an accident die or kill someone.
For the past few months I have had electric issues with my car; I. E power doors lock/unlock doesn't work at all, back windshield wiper doesn't work, windows will not roll up, and dimming/flickering of interior/exterior lights which are all due to a faulty tipm. Which I have been informed is a very expensive fix. As of today as I was driving with cruise control on my car had a mind of it's own and accelerated to a higher speed revving the car up to 4000 rpms on a flat straight road. I tried to turn off and cancel cruise control on the steering wheel with which did nothing. I then pressed the break several times and again nothing. After having a complete panic attack and trying everything I could to turn cruise off it eventual went off on it's own. I have been made aware but other individuals having similar electric problems all caused by a faulty tipm. This is a very dangerous issue and there needs to be a recall. Is it going to take someone dying for Chrysler to care?.
2nd occurrence. , lift gate light came on the instrument panel app 4 days ago, made sure door was closed. Light remain on. Then today, horn sounded while car was parked in my secured garage. I have contacted the dealership. They require a fee to put on dianostic machine. Then $200 for a lift gate sensor which they claim may not remedy the issue plus labor! I don't have money to waste on maybe's.
"takata recall" I don't understand why my Jeep Liberty has all recall problems yet NHTSA says not for my VIN #.
While driving with the lights on they flicker on & off and there is a loud clicking noise from the steering column. It has happened quite often while driving through town and on the interstate. This is a safety risk, especially if other drivers think that you are flashing your lights at them.
Starting two years ago, after a rain, when parked, upon locking my car either manually or with the key fob, the alarm goes off, interior lights illuminate and the dash states the gate is ajar. Repeatedly open and close the gate with no remedy. Have to leave car unlocked and usually the interior lights go off after a few hours. Related is the gate occasionally fails to unlock as well as unable to open the rear gate window. And the rear wiper continues to stay on after being turned off. All appear to be related to moisture somehow affecting the lift gate electrical system. Have taken to dealership three times, first two under warranty and dealer advised unable to find problem. Third time after warranty expired, advised they would need to replace seal at cost of $600. Declined repair.
Driving on city street when horn began intermittently beeping and wipers and washers front and back activated. Pulled off to side of road, removed key, engine continued to run, along with horn, wipers, washers and locks continued to intermittently activate. Lasted 15 minutes and this is the 5th time happening. After certain amount of time car functions normally. One instance occurred at night and lights turned off.
Started vehicle and drove about 1/4 of a mile. The vehicle completely shut down and I had to manually steer it to the side of the road. Car would not start and power to everything was lost. Could not jump start even though battery was fully charged. Turned out to be faulty tipm. Vehicle only has 36,000 miles on it!.
This electrical problem showed up in the middle of driving down the road. The entire car shut down going 40 mph. Lights flashed, wipers went off, horn too, all for 10 seconds, while cruising with now power/gas. Then the car started again on its own, and kept driving. Ever since, the electrical system is screwed up. Wipers will run, but do not push fluid. Car doors will not lock/unlock with keyfob or driver's side controls. Must manually lock/unlock all doors. The tailgate cannot unlock, therefore will not open. Fan doesn¿t work, so no a/c or heat. Mechanic said the tipm must be replaced, and it is not covered by Jeep/Chrysler warranty. $1300 out of pocket! this is ridiculous, it is obviously a manufacturer defect.
The "gate" light in my Jeep Liberty came on while driving and would not go off, even though everything was securely shut. As a result, I was unable to lock my vehicle because the alarm would sound. The interior lights also stayed on during this time, which was a hazard when driving at night as it directly affected my ability to see outside my car. I have done some research on this issue and do see that it appears to be a common problem which may be caused by faulty rubber trim around the rear hatch window. The rubber allows water to get in to the latch and eventually ruins it. I recently had the gate latch assembly replaced, which did resolve the issue,.
While pulling into parking space, horn suddenly blows, wipers and washers come on, lights come oncar bucks. Brought to dealer kept for 3 days, no answer. 3 days later car parked horn blows wipers on, doors lock. 2 days after car parked same thing. Dealer can find no codes. Repeat of same incidents from 8/20/14, same response from dealer.
Check engine light remains illuminated, trouble code for evap system leak. I have purchased 9 gas caps, including most from the dealer. Smoke test has been performed, cannot locate problem. Also, interior lights flicker occasionally while driving.

I was pulling out of my driveway and the car just shut completely off and I was stuck in the middle of the road. About 10 mins later, it started back up again and drove normally. This is not safe at all and if I was driving on the road, I could have died. I'm scared to drive this car now and I can't afford to go to a mechanic and pay thousands of dollars. From looking online, this is a recurring problem with this car. There should be a recall on this issue. Someone can really lose their life over this.
I was coming from palm beach from a funeral on I 95 north to home in palm bay florida time was about 9:43pm I was at a speed of 70 mph when my airbag light came on and then all my head lights and lighting in side Jeep went out for about 2 min then came back on highway was very dark and was very scared this happen so when they came back on I proceeded home and about 10:15pm it happened again air bag light came on and all lights failed again came on after about 2min then proceeded again happened at 11 pm when getting off my exit off I 95 exit 173 air bag light came on lights failed again waited 2 min came on again I left Jeep running while the incident happened 3 time drove about 5 mile from exit to my home parked in my garage at time of 11:15pm . Made a appointment at gator Dodge on 6/10/15 @ 8am to see why this happened this was very scary moment had my wife and son in Jeep also. Please see why this happen because we could have got in a accident if there was a lot of traffic at that time lucky there was not or I would have not been here to issue this complaint or my family also ! thank you in looking into this very important manner. The contact owns a 2008 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that there was water built up in the dome light which allowed water to leak into the vehicle. The vehicle started to smell like mold from water entering the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 100,000.
When drivers door was opened, vehicle horn, wipers both front and rear all began to operate and I was unable to start and maintain the engine running, it was necessary to disconnect the battery terminal in order to stop everything. A month later, I was in town and it did the same thing. In April while coming to a stop sign the vehicle stopped running and the horn, wipers and lights all began operating. I was able to control the vehicle until it stopped. The battery had to be disconnected in order to get the vehicle to run. The next afternoon, it did it again however disconnecting and reconnecting the battery did not solve the problem. I had to leave the battery disconnected all night in order for the vehicle to reset.
