1 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2016 Jeep Patriot

Failure Date: 01/05/2020

Bought Jeep in 2018 since then it has had intermittent cruise control problems. Sometimes it works sometimes it dont. Sometimes it works then quits working. Drivers seat belt will be buckled and come unbuckled have to rebuckle intermittently. Burning smell intermittently dont know if its oil, coolant or what was supposed to be fixed by Jeep who said it was leaky coolant still occurs. All of this has occurred while on the road.

2 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2016 Jeep Patriot

Failure Date: 07/14/2019

Front seatbelts will just unbuckle after you've buckled. The Jeep wont accelerate, it wont shift until 3 1/2 grand, between 0-40 mph it chugs & almost dies, once above 40 its usually fine. The dealer says things are fine. What is wrong and why wont these issues come up on diagnostics? the tire low sensor is always on - even after new tires & they reset it. No wonder the warranty length was lowered. Brakes became sqeaky around 6 months. One owner - me unfortunately.

3 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2014 Jeep Patriot

Failure Date: 04/14/2019

The exhaust manifolds seem to be cracking in the same place. But the most popular issues is the red lightning bolt- check engine light(u0401)- and the traction controlf lights come on the dash and the car is stuck in "limp mode" and everyone is saying on Jeeps site that its the throttle body and then some still have problems after that. I saw online there is a recall for the breaks, the engine in 2013, and the airbags and seat belt on the passenger side but I go to all the official sites and when I use my VIN the only recall is for the seatbelt. Please help.

4 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2014 Jeep Patriot

Failure Date: 03/06/2017

Was driving on I 95 south and the engine just starter to hesitate and quit for no reason. Took car to chrisler Dodge dealer and they are saying the engine needs to be replaced and chrisler will not honor the warranty because they said there was no records of oil changes. November 6, 2013 NHTSA campaign number: 13v552000 loss of oil pressure may result in engine stall I asked about this issue that was identified, but they are telling me that the issue had to be speciffically identified to the VIN number. But not to worry, chrisler can sell me a new engine for $6,900. They keep saying the parts for NHTSA campaign number: 16v668000 manufacturer Chrysler (fca us llc) components seat belts, air bags still are not available. I am sure for $2,000 or so, chrisler may be able to get them case by case. Frustrated!.

5 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2013 Jeep Patriot

Failure Date: 01/21/2017

I own a 2013 Jeep Patriot. I have had nothing but issues with it and I purchased it brand new in December of 2012. From it turning completely off on me while sitting at lights. To it having power surges, and the seatbelts stop working. I had the engine replaced March of 2016 and it only has 60,000 miles on it to date. According to what Chrysler said, it malfunctioned on me and it left me stranded on a freeway late at night. There is a constant issue with the coolant system. And I am now needing another engine it, because of that issue. And Chrysler wont cover it even though it is under warranty. I will never purchase another Jeep vehicle.

6 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2014 Jeep Patriot

Failure Date: 01/03/2017

I've complained here 2 weeks ago but now an update -- today was the second time which was more serious as not only the etc light came on , but the mil light and then the eac light. After stalling and restarting and plugging my way home -- while at a stop light , foot on brake on a hill, the car seemed to rpm very highly and seemed to want to accelerate (while a pedestrian crossed in front of me at the light). At that time -- or around that time -- all the idiot lights came on -- on the instrument panel. The car was stationary, but appeared to swoop into high gear while sitting with brake on pedal. It then dwindled down to the previous 3 lights. Later when I made it home after several stalls, I went out to start it . The mil light lights first, and although it's suppose to warn me about seat-belts that has stopped. Then the etc light comes on after about 1 minute or so, and the eac which stays on. I've never had a car do this ever! so dangerous! the seatbelt light? this has got to be electrical. Chrysler has never fixed their Jeep problems -- this is a repeated issue with all of their Jeeps . I was in downtown duluth going only 30 mph but wouldn't have been able to go past that speed as it kept attempting to stall out. I'm sorry I couldn't take pictures while in the midst of a panic.

8 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2016 Jeep Patriot

Failure Date: 09/15/2016

Two things are wrong with my Jeep and have been since the first week I've had it, but the newport power dealer keeps telling me that "if there ever was anything wrong with the car, it fixed itself". Bs nothing is fixed! so the first thing is the safety seatbelt sensor's. When I have a passenger up front and they're buckled up it keeps beeping saying that they're not buckled up. Doesn't happen every time I have a passenger but it's super annoying and happens mostly while driving in town. The second thing is that since the first week I've had the Jeep, the engine keeps stalling and other times acts like it's going to die but doesn't. ( newport power dealer told me this issue was due to poor gas mixtures during different times of the year. I'm not stupid and know that's not the issue, I have three other cars that do not do this at all!) the car stalls so far only while stopped at lights, in driveway's, drive through etc. This happens multiple times a week. While driving either in town, turning corners, driving straight or on the highway, the Jeep acts as if it's going to die. This happens frequently while driving. Also my back windshield has been leaking since I got the car but the power deler says it's fine. I'm very tired of hearing bs from the power dealer here in newport oregon, I have an extended warranty and I think they just don't want to honor it! these issues have been happening since I bought the car in 2016 to today in 2018.

10 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2012 Jeep Patriot

Failure Date: 02/02/2013

While traveling at highway speeds on interstate 5 near bakersfield California, and under cruise control, my 2012 Jeep Patriot stalled and lost power to the tires. At that moment, the check engine, electronic stability control, and electric systems (red lightning bolt) lights all began to flash. I was able to pull off the freeway safely. Being only a few miles from my eventual destination, I attempted to continue to drive the vehicle. I was able to keep the vehicle in gear at very low rpms (sub 2500). At rpms over 2500, however, the engine would misfire and I would experience no acceleration. With the vehicle still partially disabled, I was able to reach my destination. I turned the vehicle off, unloaded my luggage, and then returned to inspect the engine compartment. Seeing that all belt, hose, and cable connections were secure, and all fluids at their proper levels, I restarted the engine and drove the vehicle successfully for about a mile, with no evidence of the recent symptoms. Being that the vehicle is still so new, and well maintained, this particular incident was particularly alarming.
