Door Hinge problems of the 2007 Jeep Wrangler

1 Door Hinge problem

The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that when entering the vehicle, she noticed that the door hinge, hood, and the driver and passenger side doors paint was uneven and exhibited rust underneath. The dealer stated that the door hinges were rusting and the door hinges would have to be replaced. The manger notified a representative from Chrysler and he agreed to inspect the vehicle to determine if the failure would be repaired by the manufacturer since he was unable to make that decision. The representative confirmed that no compensation would be offered since the failure was surface rust caused by the environment. A report was filed with the manufacturer; however, she has not received any follow up correspondence regarding her claim. The failure mileage was 25,000 and the current mileage was 27,000.
