The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. The contact observed that the vehicle was damaged on the driver side door after being serviced for a recall repair by an authorized dealer. The authorized dealer stated that they were not responsible for the damage. The vehicle has not been repaired and there has been no resolution. The recall number was unknown. The failure and current mileages were 12,084.
The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler 4x4. The contact stated that the back door is defective and water enters through the sides when it rains. The dealer stated that the failure was a manufacturer defect and they could not make the repair. The powertrain was unknown. The current mileage was 23,000 and failure mileage was 400.
The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler 4x4. While driving 65 mph the instrument panel lights illuminated and there was a loss of power steering and brakes. This problem occurred on two occasions. The dealer stated that they were unable to duplicate the failure. Approximately ten minutes after leaving the dealer the vehicle experienced the same problem on four occasions. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle and it was towed to the dealer. The dealer has not determined the cause of the failure. The current mileage was 20 and the failure mileage was 16. The consumer stated after paying $8,000 in engine parts as of 6/15/07 the Jeep still will not run. The consumer stated that daimler-Chrysler contacted her to offer a buyback or replacement. The consumer stated she requested the buyback option as the stall defect is still being reported on the web. At the final inspection, the consumer noticed the door didn't shut properly.
