I have been without my Jeep for 8 weeks now this car only had 25,245 miles when I purchased it in may 2014 and only a little over 37,500 miles and needs a new engine. I preformed routine oil change as suggested by the manufacturer but the technician stated that the oil had burnt up. It appears as though this is a common complaint with this vehicle and excess oil consumption and I would think that this is a manufacturer defect.

I have a 2008 Jeep Wrangler sahara that I have owned since it had 100 miles on it. It is burning through oil a lot. Took to dealership for oils consumptions test and they say it is normal to burn through 1 quart of oil for every 750 miles. Figured this out because everytime I was getting an oil change (was using synthetic) at 6k I was being told the oil was bone dry. Not good.
