Two problems related to front driver side air bag inflator have been reported for the 2008 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 11/18/2017

Takata recall my Jeep has psan inflators please add it to the recall list. I called the dealership and they said it's not on the recall list. So it should be fine. But I got a letter from tk holding saying I only have until Dec 27th because they filed bankruptcy and wont be responsible after that.

2 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 10/21/2016

Takata inflators:the recall was sent out July 1, 2016. As of oct. 20, the status is "incomplete, parts not available. " apparently, on impact, the inflator can spew metal parts, piercing the airbag and causing the ever (un)popular "injury or death" to vehicle occupants. I think 3 1/2 months is waaaay long enough for Jeep to come up with a replacement part, or at least offer to disable the airbag. I'd rather take my chances, than have a defective part kill me, thank you very much.
