Door Problems of Kia Motor Sedona - part 2

The contact owns a 2006 kia Sedona. The contact stated that the sliding doors would not stay open and would close without warning. This failure has caused bruises on four different occasions. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The dealer lubricated the latches on the door, but this did not remedy the failure. The door continued to close without warning. The manufacturer stated that the doors would close if the windows were down. The current mileage is 7,000 and failure mileage was 300.

2005 kia Sedona van with multiple defects customer states, motor and two freon units for the air conditioning were replaced, along with various other things, vehicle has a stuck throttle during inclement or cold weather which caused an accident* during a rainstorm, the windshield wipers stopped working, subsequently the motor had to be replaced. The passenger side sliding door came off track, the drivers side door handle fell off and the back window latch. The accelerator became stuck and the vehicle went out of control. The consumer hit her porch and a tree. The consumer was told a recall had been issued regarding the sticking of the throttle.

The contact owns a 2006 kia Sedona. When the contact attempted to close the electronic sliding door on the passenger side of the vehicle, the door closed. However, it re-opened immediately afterwards. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. Approximately three weeks later, the failure recurred and the dealer reset the computer. Approximately one month later, the failure recurred and the dealer stated that they did a re-learn. Approximately seven months later, the contact stated that the sliding door failed to close when the button was depressed. She was forced to close the door manually. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure once more. The current mileage is 15,000 and failure mileage was 350.

Now, both doors were stuck shut and will not open, even open from the inside. No appointment has been made with the service dealer for repairs.

I've had a number of problems with my 2003 kia Sedona. Initially one of the gaskets leaked and had to n be replaced. The windshield cracked overnight in the garage when there was no weather extremes. The wheel bearings went in the front tire. Recently the engine had to be replaced because it was leaking and after replacing all the gaskets it couldn't get pressure. The driver's door handle broke, the lumbar support stopped working. The hood wouldn't close properly. And on top of all those things I've had 2 blowouts to the front driver's tire in a 2 year period. The dealer says there is nothing wrong with the wheel but I'm not sure he even checked because of the engine problems he had to deal with.

Kia has informed us that our car will continue to need repairs since it was not designed to be driven on dirt roads. We live on a dirt road and drive many miles of dirt roads and now we are spending money replacing parts not protected from dirt due to faulty engineering design.

Electric system wiring causing lights/windows and door locks to go out. Dealer notified.

Both sliding doors will not stop if a person gets in the path of door. If doors are not open all the way they will close.
