2005 kia Sedona. The car was bought in may, and it stalled intermittently. The fist time vehicle stalled was in July. Consumer's husband was driving and when approaching a light the car stalled. No indicator lights came on. Second time that vehicle stalled was while driving on i95 and slowing down 20 -25 mph. Again,no indicator light came on at this time. Took vehicle to the dealership, and they could not duplicate the problem. A third time the car stalled, but it was restarted immediately. Cranked the car and it only stayed for just a few seconds. This happened at least twice. . The consumer made it to a gas station and put more gas into the gas tank which showed a little over ¼ tank. Started back up and drove home. The forth time, while driving on a hill hit the gas pedal and there was a decrease in acceleration and vehicle stalled. The car had at least ½ tank of gas. No indicator light came on prior to the car stalling.

The consumer owns a 2005 kia Sedona. She purchased the vehicle on 6-20-05, and twenty minutes after she drove the car off the lot, the radio quit working along with the ignition light illuminating. The consumer took the vehicle back to the dealership, and they could not service the car that day but made an appointment to come back on 6-22-05. The dealership kept the vehicle for three days. On 7-26-05 the brake went all the way to the floor and made a loud ticking noise while turning. The consumer took the vehicle to another dealership for repairs, and they resurfaced the brakes and the ignition. On 7-31-05 the brakes failed. The consumer tried to pump the brakes and they would not catch. To keep from hitting the vehicle in front, she veered to the left and ran onto the median, causing two blow outs on the driver's front and rear. The consumer had the vehicle towed to aaa, and they replaced one of the tires and placed the spare on the vehicle. There where no injuries in this accident. Also, one of the tires in the accident looked as if someone had taken a knife and cut the tire. The cut was so clean that the dealership refused to repair the tire or the rim. The consumer had to buy a new tire and rim. On 8-18-05 the van was taken back to kia,. The consumer was given a rental car. The consumer had gotten the vehicle back on August 28, 2005. On 8-19-05 the consumer received a recall letter concerning the gas pedal and braking problems. (11/30/05) the emission light had come on and smoke was seen coming from under the vehicle, there was a loud ticking sound heard when turning the steering and a coil was repaired as a result, the grease seal leaked and there was a hesitation when the vehicle kicked into gear.
We have a 2002 kia Sedona; we bought in Dec of 2001. Within the first 6 months, the alternator, battery, ignition switch, had to be replaced, along with sliding doors falling off the hinge. I complained of a wind noise for the first year no one knew what it was. It went unfixed. Within a year the shocks, the struts and sliding doors had to be replaced. My air-condition went out completely guess what no more wind noise. And no longer under warranty. My rear wiper control went out. Recently, while on thanksgiving vacation to ohio we had to have roadside pick up our van as the transmission totally went out without warning. While in the shop we were advised our brakes were not safe to drive. We had never had a problem with the brakes. And the motor mounts were also in need of replacement. Was in the shop 14 days, we had to drive back to ohio to when ready. The brakes went to the floor had never ever done that before. When we were on our way out of town, the transmission was acting up. We made it home on Dec 7th and no one at kia could take the vehicle in until the service manager returned my call he was off for doctor visit. On Dec 13, I took my van in to be repaired, they called me and told me it would need a new transmission, and guess what they are also repairing the sliding doors 5th time I think. They have to also fix the dent in the hood that was not there, before the ohio kia took it in to be fixed. Today it has been 15 days. I still do not have my van. I would not recommend kia to my worst enemy. Please allow others to know that kia is a lemon if ever there were one.
