When using the indicator to signal left, the signal would occasionally not respond or signal right. After jiggling, it will signal correctly. This was not a one-time occurrence and getting uncomfortable.

When using turn signal some times it doesn't turn on and you have to push the stalk down again to turn it on. Or sometimes it flashes fast than turns back to normal. This happens at coming to intersection moving or standing still. Also noticed water is entering both housing for rear lights. But that shouldn't interfere with activating the blinkers. Maybe just the rear not the whole system.
While driving at night my headlights will often flicker off for one to three seconds when I'm either activating the turn signal (either right or left) or attempting to turn on my high beams. I always drive with the headlights in "auto", so I have not experienced the issue with any other setting.
Takata recall: our 2015 kia Sedona's when in motion or stationary, the turn signal component does not signal the direction we have selected. When I choose left turn it signals right turn. I have to play with the turn signal lever about 10 times before it may or may not signal the proper direction. This is extremely dangerous as the cars around us think we are planning to go right instead of left each intersection. Please issue a recal on these turn signal components for 2015 kia Sedona minivans.
Yesterday both front turn signals stopped working, today when I turned on car I got a check engine light and the horn stopped working. And noticed when I took it in to the autozone to have it checked the front lights weren't working. Less than a month ago the pump for the windshield wiper fluid quit working. I have manual seats in the car. I found a recall on the wiring harness but that didn't encompass the 2014 models.

The rear housings for the turn signals are filling with rain water. The water leakage will render the signals inoperable. The driver may not even be aware of this hazard. Apparently, this is a common safety problem as the seals or plastic housing may be defective.
On multiple occasions my headlights will turn on or off when using turn signals or just hitting a bump. This is extremely dangerous as I live in a rural area with no street lights. This issue has been going on for several months now and is becoming more frequent. My 2015 Sedona only has 90k miles and I would not expect to have an issue like this at this time.
When in motion, at times, when the left turn signal is clicked into place to indicate a left turn or movement to the left lane, the right turn signal will blink instead. This causes very dangerous driving conditions.
This complaint is regarding a single-owner 2006 kia Sedona. Since 2006 I have had numerous electrical related problems. Over half the buttons and knobs on the stock cd player/radio have not worked for approximately eight years. I am having to replace headlight and turn signal bulbs every few months. The airbag indicator light is illuminated and will not shut off. I have not been involved in any accidents (yet) and would expect my airbags to deploy if and when necessary. My understanding is that the airbags will not function if the indicator light is illuminated. This is a major safety concern, as this is a family vehicle and I have three small children, and I take frequent road trips due to my job. As far as I know, there are no recalls associated with the airbag or electrical/lighting system for this vehicle. Based on my research of complaints associated with this vehicle year, make, and model, recalls should be issued so affected owners may have these problems corrected at no charge and to prevent injury and or death.

My 2006 kia Sedona airbag light would come on and then go off after driving for a few miles or a couple days and this happened periodically on and off for a couple years. It has now stayed on for the last 4 months. Turned on the van one day and the airbag light never went off. Was sitting in my driveway on a flat surface. My van had a hundred and fifty-one thousand miles on it when the light came on and now has a hundred and fifty-three thousand miles. I bought this as a new van in 2007. It was a left over. I have had to replace the headlight bulbs and turn signal bulbs on the front over 10 times since I've owned it. This also seems to be an issue that people have stated with a 2006 kia Sedona.
Second failure of turn signals ( loose bulbs ) 1st was left, now right. I am an electrician so I fixed the problem. It will return with time as weather changes hot/cold effect the copper that holds the bulbs in place. All older cars used a spring in the bottom of the socket which made contact with tip in the center of the bulb. Kia has used a flat piece of copper bent in a u or v shape, the tension will not keep the bulb stable. A temporary fix is to bend the copper upwards to create tension. My fix today on my kia will be to replace the socket with a new spring type. 100k maintenance is due, we can't wait until then because we are in a heavy traffic situation, it is just to dangerous !!!! db .

Right head light has blown at least once a year for the past six years. Same is true for the front right turn signal bulb. I checked the internet and the same or similar complaint can be found on numerous occasions kia denies that there is any problem. I was on a trip one night when the head lamp blew and was very nerve racking because I feared that the other lamp blowing would leave me without any visibility.
It started with the fuses for the power plug in the front blew several times and had to be replaced. About 2 months after that the turn signal bulb kept going out on the passenger side, we thought at first that the bulb kept blowing out. This kept happening every couple of months until about 10 months ago now every couple of weeks the bulb blows again and we have to keep buying bulbs and paying to have them replaced. One of the people who inspected our car this month was going to relace another bulb but he told us that as soon as he touched the bulb it started working again. That there must be a short of some kind but he passed the inspection since the bulb worked now. After that we kept noticing that every time we went out and it started to get dark we didn't have our headlights on, we didn't think anything about it the first time because it was right after the inspection and assumed the inspector had turned them off. But it has kept happening it has now happened at least 5 different times and I know I didn't cut them off and I am the only one driving the car. I have also in the last 6 months had the motor to the fluid dispenser for the windshield wipers stop working it worked one day and the next I pushed the button to clean the winshield and nothing happened. I have seen dozens of complaints online about people having the same problems and worse with thier kia Sedonas kia needs to fix all of these problems or replace the cars.
My 2006 kia Sedona seems to continually blow low beam headlights. Have had the vehicle 3 years and have gone through 7 bulbs. The dealer replaced the headlight wiring harness on the drivers side in 2010, but claims that they can't find anything wrong with the passenger side. The turn signal bulb on the passenger side also works intermittently.
Bought a new 2008 Sedona. 2 years later noticed radio, right front turn signal and ac power outlet were not working. Took it into the dealership and they replaced a blown fuse. 18 months later right front turn signal is out again and took it to the dealership. They fixed it by bending a metal piece in the plug to make more contact with the bulb. 2 1/2 weeks later, I have my 3 kids in the car and my accelerator loses all power and the esc light comes on as well as the check engine light. I was able to coast it over to the shoulder, turned the car off and waited a few minutes. Turned the car back on and pressed the accelerator and was able to drive it home. The check engine light is still on and I can't get an appointment with the dealership for 2 weeks!!!.
The contact owns a 2006 kia Sedona. Upon starting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the headlights and turn signals were inoperative. The vehicle was taken to a local repair shop where the headlights were replaced. The failure continued approximately 15 times. After each failure, the contact either replaced the lights herself or had them replaced at a local repair shop. The contact also began to hear scraping noises whenever she applied the brakes. The vehicle was taken to a local repair shop where the brakes were replaced twice. The contact also stated that the steering wheel shook while she was driving approximately 65 mph. The failure mileage was approximately 26,000 and the current mileage was 56,453.
The contact owns a 2006 kia Sedona. The contact stated that the headlights failed. The contact had the light bulbs replaced but the failure recurred several times. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer for inspection and was advised that the headlights had burned out. The manufacturer was notified and they informed the contact that the warranty was closed and provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 2,000. . . . . Updated 08-24-12 the consumer stated that along with the low beams failure, the turn signal has failed multiple times. The consumer replaced the headlights on his own as well as taking the vehicle to a repair shop to be replaced. The dealer was made aware of this. The grounding cables to the headlight assemblies were replaced under warranty but, the failure recurred. Updated 09/04/2012.
Passenger side headlight regularly (every 2 to 3 months) burns out; have changed the headlight several times per year since 2007. Also the turn signals work intermittently, where one or the other goes out; changed these several times per year as well.
Both headlights and right turn signal quit working with no warning; kia said it is a fuse but I checked fuses and found no bad fuse.
On my brand new kia Sedona both headlights and one turn signal quit working. This happened with less than 500 miles on the vehicle. The problem turned out to be a bad headlight control module. This took approximately a week to get repaired. The repair was covered under warranty.
We are having ongoing issues with front turn signal failures on our Sedona and we have heard from other Sedona owners with the same problem. I at first thought it was a simple matter of poor factory quality light bulbs (I have had to replace every bulb on this vehicle before it was even two years old). The headlight issue I was having seems to be corrected by more expensive and higher quality bulbs. The front turn signal issue is not a bulb issue. After replacing front turn signal bulbs on a quarterly basis since 2007, I finally slowed down to take a closer look at the problem. The problem with the front turn signals, is the ground contact point within the bulb socket. The ground "tab" is thin and over heats. Once the tab is hot, it starts to loose the spring tension required to keep the tab in contact with the side of the bulb. Once contact is lost, arcing starts to form pits and corrosion on the ground tab and the contact point. Replacing good bulbs will sometimes mask the problem, because when you remove the old bulb and replace it with another, you will unintentionally knock away some of the corrosion. In doing so, the new bulb may start to operate for a period of time. In the past two years, I have simply removed the bulb, bent out the tab a little, and used scotch bright to sand away the corrosion. I then lube the bulb with proper grease and reinstall. I have mentioned the problem to the service departments of peak kia (where the vehicle was purchased) and arapahoe kia, but I'm being told that there is not an issue and there are no recalls. I asked if the newer model vehicles use any type of upgraded or changed bulb/socket/connection and was told nothing has changed because they are not having issues with turn signals. This is a problem with this model and it is a safety issue. Thank you, scott howard.
