My Sorento was purchased on 17/01/22. My windshield started cracking on the middle to the passenger’s side from the hood to the sunroof. I am unaware of how it even got there.

My vehicle (2022 kia Sorento) was purchased 11/08/21. It only has 1777 miles at this exact time. My windshield started cracking on my drivers side from the sunroof down. This is ridiculous for a vehicle so new. I've read this is a chronic issue with the tellurides. Kia refuses to do anything about it.

This is ongoing condition from delivery of vehicle. Based on car complaints already filed on car complaints. Com we believe kia knows about this problem. There is some sort of relationship of night driving and low beam headlights that causes very dark shadow on windshield that abstructs driver vision. We further assert that knowing this kia willfully adjusts headlights too high to try to conceal problem. (dealer said they were set 8" too high. But when adjusted to factory settings the problem got worse. Case number entered with kia. Now in escalation mode . . . However we live on top of a mountain with 3000 foot drops if our vision is obstructed and we miss edge of road. The headlights were adjusted back to the higher setting but we feel that will blind on coming cars still another safety danger. Kia must fix this problem. 1. Abs system- anti-lock braking system sensors goes out and not working correctly reading which creates safetly hazard in preventing possible collisions 2. Lighting-interior instrument panel-light dims and or goes out completely while driving which creates saftely hazard in vehicle operation. 3. Windshield wiper system and reservior defectives- wiper motor issues and leakage from faulty tubing and reservior leakage issues.

Back up camera/infotainement screen went black while backing up twice in driveway. About 10 minutes later infotainment center restarted it's self and prompted me to verify safety while driving. Kia case manager emailed directly due to open case regarding ongoing electical issues causing accident earlier in year. Kia unable to provide rental/transportation due to "covid" and "shortages". Appointment was missed 10/30/2021 due to unavailable transportation and issues potentially taking weeks to diagnose at dealership. Kia did not arrange/approve transportation as promised.

Within a 2 month period after purchasing this vehicle, the windshield has cracked twice. First time was more understandable as a larger sized rock hit the windshield right next to the pillar on the passenger side creating a roughly 4” starburst crack. That one was replaced and 2 weeks later a tiny pebble kicked up and created a small chip on the upper corner driver side. Within about 30 seconds the chip spread halfway across the windshield. These new windshield seems to be extremely weak and falling in line with the issues the telluride had as well with the kia acoustic glass.

While driving with the headlights in the "auto" position, when a turn blinker is used the headlights will randomly turn off for about 10-15 seconds. Not much of an issue during the daytime but certainly a major safety concern at night. This problem can be replicated during the daytime by watch the dash lights switch from "auto" to "off" on the driver's dash. Moving the switch from the auto to on has no effect on the lights. This problem occurs about 30% of the time when using the turn signal.

My airbag light is just on, I have not been in any accidents or my vehicle has not been hit for the airbag light to be on. My check engine light is on as well. And back wind shield washer fluid is not coming out. When I noticed these issues my car was stationary.

Vehicle has low visibility on low beam, even with aftermarket leds there is still low visibility with the low beams, car need to be driven on high beam and it is illegal to drive with high beams as you blind cars driving on opposite direction, and a fine could be impose as well.

Right rear passenger window catastrophically exploded. Residential street approx 10mph. Breaking for stop sign. Temperature 63f. Overcast. Winds relatively high(approx 20+ mph). No sign of impact. Ive had the vehicle 7 months. Could have cause optical injury if a small passenger or child seat was in that location. Window shattered into thousands of small pieces covering 1/2 of the rear seat area. No previous damage to vehicle.

Engine burns up oil very quickly way before 3,000 miles and there are no alerts that the oil is low. Steering gets "stuck" at times for brief amounts of time and needs to be readjusted in the road. This happens on straight highways and in curve. Windshield wiper fluid function does not work.

Monitor that displays defogger & defroster is not displaying information. . . . . . . . . . This monitor is part of the vehicle's "multimedia system". . . . . . Which displays :: gps, radio channels, heating, air conditions, defrosting-defogger. . . . . I paid $700. 00 & $65. 10/05/2018 to replace this same "navigation/ multimedia system". . . . . Vehicle mileage then was 48,600. . . . This unit stopped working/ no longer displaying information January 2021. Then mileage of 87,000. . Elk grove kia said I would have to personally pay to have the multimedia system replace. The new system only lasted approximately 1 year, 6 months. . . . . I asked the kia dealership to replace or offer discount to replace this needed system. . . . . The answer was no ! I said to kia dealer that obviously the product installed was inferior. . (lasting less than a year. . . . The reply was the dealer is not responsible for the products installed in kia vehicles. I made a complaint to the bbb national programs- auto line. . . Kia2115737. . . . Bbb said my complaint does not qualify per their guidelines. . I am still without visual assist of the "multimedia system". . . . . Defogger/ defroster. . , gps,.

2016 kia Sorento v6 lx fwd automatic -- one day, suddenly, the wiper fluid leaked almost the entire tank on our garage floor immediately after filling. No other small leaks were noticed before this major fail. I found kia blogs in abundance and a large number of youtube videos reporting the same issue. There was even speculation in several kia forums that the problem was so prevalent kia should, at a minimum, publish a service bulletin, and some urged for a bona fide recall. I checked the point of failure as suggested in several videos and blogs, and indeed it was a crack in the washer pump mechanism, apparently around the white bulbous piece that bifurcates on opposite sides where rubber tubes are attached to plastic protrusions, and from there the fluid is dispensed to each of two nozzles near the base of the windshield that release the fluid on demand.

Sunroof exploded while traveling down highway at approx. 65 mph. Did not see anything strike the vehicle prior to the explosion. Vehicle is equipped with a panoramic sunroof. Failure occurred in the front section which opens and closes.

Driver's side mirror: side mirrors automatically lower when in reverse, but the driver's side mirror will often aim too low--almost straight down at the ground. Once in drive, the mirror will reset to the incorrect position, often too high - aiming toward the sky.

I have faulty airbags in my vehicle why is there no recall vehicle hasn't been wrecked. Airbag were never deployed. My vehicle is not safe without airbag repair, as long as the airbag light is on on the dash the airbag system fails inspection. It needs to be a recall this is a safety hazard and cause death if I was to be involved in an accident.

Sometimes while driving at night with my lights in the auto position, they will turn off for about 5 seconds before coming back on. This is very dangerous and has happened to me while on a dark highway before.

My windshield-washing system is not spraying water onto either the windshield or the rear window. The dealer has advised me that this is due to the fact that the original mesh in the pump filter screen is so fine that it becomes clogged by washer fluid. A new, coarser mesh is available, at a replacement cost to me of approximately $185. According to the dealer, this is a well-known problem. The part is not defective, broken, or worn-out. Instead, it was not suited to carrying out its purpose in the first place. In other words, the situation is clearly the result of faulty design. I can tell you from personal experience that the inability to clean my windshield on-the-move when necessary is without question a safety concern. It is particularly acute at night, but it is also a problem at other times. For the moment, I must carry cleaning supplies and must sometimes stop the vehicle to clean the glass so that I may safely operate the vehicle. This too entails the risk of being struck if, for example, I am on an interstate highway. I can afford to replace the screen. But many will not be able to do so. It seems to me that this is exactly the kind of problem that should result in a recall.

Panoramic sunroof spontaneously exploded / shattered while driving.

Within on week of purchasing my new kia Sorento, I experienced a windshield crack that spread quickly across the windshield within 24 hours. The windshield should be built better. I've never had such an issue with other makes from previous cars. I had purchased the platinum protection plan but was told it would not cover. I called the dealership at which I purchased the car for help only to be given the run around being transferred to multiple departments. The crack spread from the bottom left corner across the middle of the windshield in my line of sight making it difficult to clearly see. I had to pay myself to get the windshield completely replaced. I am disappointed in the quality of my kia and the service I have received.

Found the windshield wipers to only work intermittently when I bought the vehicle with 85,000 miles on it. Now my vehicle has almost 100,000 miles and the wipers only work on high and occasionally don't even work at all when it rains when driving. This has made the care scary to drive and we don't drive it when it rains. Brought the car in the kia and they couldn't duplicate the problem as well.

I've seen a few reviews and complaints on how kia's (sorento's in particular) have been losing their headlights for no reason. This has also happened to me, but just on my driver side fortunately. The main bulb is not illuminating and will not come on. I changed the bulb and this did not fix the problem. I looked at the old bulb I replaced and it was fine, nothing was shot or burnt out. I have seen a couple of people saying this could be a connector problem which in fact has nothing to do with the bulb itself. Seeing that this can come up spontaneously worries me and a lot of other drivers on the road who would need to travel at night. This should be addressed by kia and be made a recall due to the fact this happens on practically newer vehicles (my mileage is 31000) I will refrain from keeping my lights on the "auto" setting (which will be a waste of money now) since the problem may occur from having the lights on this setting. I have not gotten the problem fixed due to how much it would cost (replacing the entire light fixture ~ $600) and this not covered by their warranty either (another waste of money if purchased) I will be reconsidering my choice with kia come next auto purchase.

While driving the panoramic sunroof imploded suddenly with out warning or being struck by anything. My husband wasn't driving at a high rate of speed or under bad weather conditions other than basic rain, luckily our inner sun shade had been closed or the glass which completely shattered could have fell on top of my self and our 3 year old daughter possibly injuring us greatly as we were sitting in the rear seats directly under it when the even occur.

While driving at night while my headlights are in auto position they will randomly turn off for a few seconds and then click back on. This has happened twice in one week. The last time, was while driving 70 mph down the interstate and my headlights went out without warning.

Complaint no. While traveling down hwy 377 toward granbury, texas. The underside of my car burst into flames. Fortunately I was traveling at 70mph and the person who witnessed the flames behind me, ran up to my car when I stopped at a rail crossing to tell me what happen. I was lucky I was driving 70mph and if I had stopped while it was burning the car would have burned up. It looks like the plastic panels were ignited by the catalytic converter. . Complaint no. 2 without any type of impact, near the rear view mirror, a crack appeared from the top edge of the windshield downward about 2. 5" long. Since it is near the rear view mirror I know it appeared without any flying object hitting the windshield. Since it is in the middle of the top edge, I'm wondering if it is a stress crack and other kia owners are experiencing the same event.

While on vacation in new mexico, we were driving on I-40 when we heard a deafening boom and realized the sunroof had spontaneously burst and the armatures and mechanism that control the opening and closing of the sunroof had detached from the car. There were no other vehicles behind, beside, or in front of our vehicle at the time of the incident. We were following the posted speed limit and the weather was cloudy. When the glass burst, the inside slide cover vibrated violently and began to open. Both my husband and I had to hold the cover closed with our hands to avoid falling glass until we could safely pull off the road to examine the damage. After pulling into a rest stop a few miles down the road, it began to rain. We had to drive 13 miles to the nearest town, while holding the inside cover closed with our hands, in order to buy supplies to secure the sunroof opening. When I called the closest kia dealership in albuquerque (130 miles away), they informed me they didn't repair glass damage and I would need to contact an auto glass repair shop. I have since gone through my personal car insurance agent to have the sunroof repaired. The vehicle is currently at a shop awaiting repair.
