Tl- the contact owns a 2016 kia Soul. The contact stated that her vehicle had stalled on multiple occasion which prompted her to take the vehicle to an independent mechanic. The contact was informed about the recall NHTSA campaign number: 19v120000(engine, engine and engine cooling) by the independent mechanic. The contact took the vehicle to bramlett kia 3326 us-31, decatur, al 35603 (866) 750-3933 where initially only a system update was performed on the vehicle. The contact was informed that the only way the catalytic converter could be replaced was if the service engine light illuminated. When the light illuminated, the vehicle was serviced by the dealer. The contact stated that the pistons continued to knock on the vehicle and the dealer refused to service the vehicle due to the pistons not being recall. The contact stated that she then experienced another failure as her engine stalled while drive 70 mph on the highway. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered not further assistance.
