Battery Dead Problems of Kia Motor Soul

The battery keeps draining. Replaced battery and it keeps dying after a few weeks. The doors lock and can't be opened with the key provided when the battery is dead, so we are locked out of vehicle without access to opening the hood to get the car jumped. This is dangerous. Useless to have a keyhole for a key that won't work when the battery is dead. The key works any other time when the car battery is ok.

11-6-18 - while in motion, mid turn, my car shut down completely. All the lights came on in the dash, and then when car shut down, battery died as well and window was stuck down. I am so thankful I was not on the interstate going 70 miles an hour. I could have been killed. Dealership has said motor is locked up and cannot even be manually started & that I need a whole new engine.

The lights in my kia Souls interior and exterior are flickering and going out completely sometimes. Very unsafe when I am already driving. Happens to my headlights and dash lights and interior roof lighting. It has also caused my lights to stay on sometimes and causes my battery to die. This has happened while the car is idle or driving or off completely when the doors are open.

Continuously having my battery go dead, but locks and lights work at the time the. Artery is dead. When you go to start the car you hear a series of clicks,but won't turn over. When you go to jump start the battery it takes only 30 seconds to a minute to start. They have checked my battery and car out and can find nothing wrong with it.

Car battery seemed dead though when I turned the key the lights go on and flickering sound but doesn't catch. When jump started it didn't take long maybe two minutes and car started.

Tl- the contact owns a 2010 kia Soul. The contact stated that twice the wheels were locking and the vehicle stalled several times. The contact also mentioned that the battery failed after one year and when the vehicle was taken to the dealer they only offered to recharge the battery. A day later, the battery failed. The authorized dealer did not replace the battery and the contact had the battery replaced. The contact also received the repairs for NHTSA campaign id number: 10v388000 (electrical system) and the failure recurred. The contact indicated that the vehicle continued to stall and that the vehicle was taken to two different dealers who were not able to diagnose the failure correctly to repair the vehicle. The contact also had to make several appointments in which the dealers did not comply with while still experiencing the failures. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
