1. Stationary - a piece of the driver's side suspension spring broke off. My husband went to check what weird noise the car was making when he turned the wheel fully as we were trying to exit our paralleled parking spot in front of our home. When he opened the hood, he looked around and asked me to turn the wheel from so he could hear exactly where the sound was coming from. When he heard it was above the right wheel area, he looked deep, reached in and ended up finding a portion of the spring. A day or two later, both sides are making that noise, though no dislodged portion from the passenger side has been found yet. 2. Stationary when discovered - tire began losing air at a rate which took 1 full day. Had the tire checked for holes, found 1 and repaired it. Next-day however, same problem. Checked again, no holes. Next day the same. Finally brought it to tire sales shop we always use. It was thoroughly examined and a crack was found on the inner side of the wheel, which means it was not from brushing against the curb one too many times. 3. Horn has only ever worked intermittently.

My car was purchased brand new off the lot with 28 miles on it. I now have approximately 15614 miles on my 2020 kia Soul. I just wanted to report that the horn, a major safety feature, intermittently stops working. When the horn stops working it includes the steering wheel depress and the key fob locked signal. Please investigate this as a horn can be the last resort notification someone needs between life or death.

Head lights, a/c, power windows, sun roof, wipers and horn all stopped working at once. It was on a hot day. Then all just started working after car had cooled down. Same thing happened once before, sometime in late June or early July 2017. I took the car to the dealer afterward but they couldn't help.
Intermittent horn. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. In doing research, I have noticed a lot of complaints for the same thing. Why has this not been recalled? this is clearly a safety issue! doesn't matter if the car is sitting, driving, turning, anything. The horn only seems to work when it feels like it. Very dangerous!.
On 10/25/2017 while driving on the highway, my 2014 kia Soul caught on fire - spontaneously and without warning (no apparent issues in operating the car, warning lights on the dash, etc. ). Two fellow motorists honked their horns and flashed their lights in an effort to signal me. The back windshield began to 'fog up' due to the heat/fire, and we immediately pulled off the highway. In an effort to escape this emergency, I along with my son, who was driving, immediately got out of the vehicle and moved a safe distance away before calling 911. At this point flames were coming from both underneath the vehicle and from the engine compartment. The car was soon engulfed in flames. Multiple fire engines responded to the scene in extinguishing the fire and securing the scene. The car was a complete loss (see pictures attached in the report). It is important to note that my 2014 kia Soul was taken to a local kia dealership between 10/17/2017 - 10/19/2017 for diagnostics due to lights (internal and on the dash) flickering and an abnormal sound. The dealership's service department replaced the battery, performed a safety inspection, but were unable to identify the flickering lights issue, nor were they able to identify the source of the abnormal sound although they did acknowledge its presence. The service department released the vehicle to me and advised me to drive the vehicle to see what happened. My car was brought home, parked, and not driven until the incident on 10/25/2017.
My horn does not work all the time. I almost was in a bad accident trying to prevent a car sideswiping me to cross lanes - I kept trying to honk the horn. It would not work so I had to jam on my brakes and almost got rear ended too. I wrote to kia and got no response. I was driving in the middle lane - a driver to the right of me cut me off to get into the turn lane to the left of me.

The horn only works when it wants to, I can not find a reason for this. Does not mater if car is running or not, weither it is turning or not. It is very dangerous, since there have been times that I wish it would have worked in some serious driving situations and it did not.

Ocassionaly the horn will not work.
Bad wire in steering wheel, which makes horn malfunction frequently(if I repeatedly turn wheel, horn will work). This started three years ago. Car has been well maintained, and I see no recall for this issue. I also have a bad sensor under the passenger seat, which allows airbag to be on or off when passenger is in seat(doesn't seem to work).
