Tl- the contact owns a 2013 kia Soul. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle a clicking noise was present coming from the steering column when turning in either direction. While pulling into a parking space the power steering failed and the steering wheel became very difficult to turn in either direction. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer lakeland regal kia(1025 bartow rd. Lakeland FL. ) who diagnosed that the steering wheel flexible cupler was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 98,441. Jft.

Consumer states power steering failure the consumer stated the first time the power steering failed, the dealer was able to find an error code of 300 electrical and they replaced the steering motor. On Jan 13, 2012 as the consumer was pulling out of his driveway, he discovered the power steering failed again. He stopped, turned off the ignition and waited five seconds and then turned it back on. It appeared to work fine after that. On Jan. 201, 12, as the consumer was exiting a parking lot, the power steering failed again. He stopped, turned off the ignition and waited 10 seconds and then turned it back on again. It appeared to work fine afterwards .
