Heading down highway 198 from mabank TX to canton TX we had hit deer two jump out about 2 feet in from of us . We miss the first deer and second one we hit dead smack in front of car, it did so much damage had to replace most of the front end including radiator and cooling fan and battery because it had pop hole in front battery. But air bags never deployed. And that morning notice when person sitting in passenger side the air bag light above dash says passenger air bag on than says off. There pic attach shows damaged had to replaced cost about 1400 dollars or more in damage . Air bags should deployed.

I was recently involved in a collision with a deer. I was travelling at 55mph when I hit the deer square on and my air bags did not deploy. Also every time I wash my car some of the electrical components stop working for a few days such as the clock. I have talked to kia dealership near me and they can not explain the issue over the electrical stuff. Also they stated I could start a case with them over the airbags.

On 12 July 2018 at 0530 am I was driving down county road 26 mankato mn to pickup my semi as I was aproaching 3rd Ave stop sign I applied the brakes pedal went to floor I went through intersection slammed into a boulder wall head on at an estimated speed of 40-45mph. Air bags did not deploy,seat belt tensioner broke,wont retract back into holder. After getting car towed can see that the air bag sensor was crushed but no deployment spent 2 days in hospital. Thankfully nothing broke just alot of bruising. Cannot figure out why brakes didnt work ended up using emergency brake to try slowing down impact.

I was involved in a head on collision, resulting in my SUV being totaled. I was stationary in the double turning lane of a city street. The engine block was pushed nearly into the driver's seat. Front windshield cracked from end to end, heavy front end damage. The vehicle that hit me was doing about 45-50mph and her airbags did deploy although she had side impact/damage. My airbags never deployed. I have a concussion resulting in memory loss and painful swelling behind my eye. I am also being treated for multiple back injuries. My 17m old was in the vehicle as well but was in his rear facing car seat, not yet showing any signs of injury.

Takata recall I just purchased my kia Sportage on 3/15/2018 at a dealership and have been driving with the airbag light on. I have brought this up to the dealer and am told that the airbag light doesn't matter. As I'm reading all these complaints and those that have been in accidents the airbags do not deploy, my safety is an issue here. I am certain this needs to be looked into. It will be sent to the dealer to be looked at. Also, I have googled as to why my blower motor will not shut off. That's the blower resistor that needs to be replaced. Those complaints are on here also, almost catching fire. I've never felt so unsafe being in a vehicle. These 2 main factors need to be investigated immediately.

I took my car to the dealership and was told that there was a material defect in the seat belt tensioner connected to the wiring harness. They said that if I were to get into an accident that my airbags may not deploy. I have the best extended warranty that you can buy and they will not cover the replacement of the wiring harness because it has to do with the safety restraint system. This is absolutely ridiculous and unsafe!!! how is this not a recall when it is a material defect and is directly related to the safety of the vehicle? I have researched online and found that many other people are having the issue of their air bag light being on and little do they know that it's linked to this whole problem. This is not an isolated issue and from what I found there are many cases of the airbags not deploying in the case of an accident which is probably due to the same material defect.

I was pulling out into traffic and did not see a car due their headlights were not on. We hit and none of my air back deployed the whole front of my car was smashed and I hit my head on the dorr jam and my vehicle has side air bags also. I have contacted kia and intially got a case # and stuff. The case # is k2661337. I did received one mes from them requestion stuff but they did not leave any kindof return # or any fax # or email for me to send the requested information back too. I have called kia approx. Three times a wk with no answers or return calls today I called and was able to get a fax #. I was prefectly healthly prior to my wreck now I have to take pain meds to make it through the day and I can not do house work or pick up my tow year old. Someone should look into why the air bags did not deploy.

This complaint is about the 2005 kia . First the airbag light has come on and has been on for the last three to five years, the auto mechanic that I use at first said that it was just the light indicator and was not problematic except that the light was on but now is saying that since the light is on the airbag may not deploy , and that of course is a big problem. Secondly, when filling the gas tank and when completed the car stalls several times before starting, problem does not occur again until the next refill. Third reoccurring problem is that one of the rear brake lights short out on a reoccurring basis.

I swerved to hit a deer, hit the deer then went in to the ditch and drove head on into a tree. The airbags did not deploy, and I am wondering why.

Air bag warning light - mechanic and kia dealership stated it was a sensor. Car is out of warranty, dealership will charge me over $400 to "fix" the air bag warning light but would not guarantee the fix. After researching on this website and others, it appears that this is a defect on various models of 2006 kia's. I was told that the air bags will not deploy in an accident. The dealership first stated to me that my car must have been in an accident, it was not and never has been. I was told that if the "fix" did not work that I would have to replace my front seats for a cost of over $1,200. 00. Kia cannot guarantee a fix for this problem. This is evidenced by researching the internet. This is a safety item and needs a recall.

Air bags did not deploy in a frontal crash.

After being fixed by the dealer, my airbag light came back on again within days. Took it back and they told me the sensors built into the seat are failing. An internet search indicates that they are failing at an alarming rate. If the light is on the airbags will not deploy. The light will stay on as long as the sensors are not working right. The sensors can only be repaired by replacing the entire seat apparatus: almost 1200$ just for the part! this should be a recall, and I do not understand why it isn't. Note that the dealer has been very sympathetic and aggressive in trying to identify the problem, though it sounds like the people they are talking to at kia aren't being very forthcoming with how prevalent the problem is.

The air bag light in my 2007 kia Sportage keeps coming on for no reason. I had this problem occur three (3) times this year twice on the driver's side and once one the passenger's side. The dealership keeps saying you have to sit in the seat a certain way so the light won't come on and recognize your weight. I am over 200 lbs. So I don't understand how the seat does not recognize I am seating in it. I believe there is a fault with the air bag system. I have read about air bag light problems in other kia models. Please investigate this problem before someone is injured or killed when the air bag does not deploy in a crash because of a faulty air bag system.

I was involved in 2 low impact crashes with this kia Sportage 2005 model. One was a rear end collision at 20 mph and the other I was hit from the side in a parking lot.
